Good morning!!!!

66 and sunny, headed to 82 today. We got about an inch of rain yesterday, and it was needed.
Headed out to get bloodwork shortly, have a good day all.

Coffee is done brewing. 50° with light fog this morning. Heading to 87° with mostly sunny skies. Still no weed killer down. Top of list today. Did get lights fixed. Had 10 lbs of apples that I bought to dehydrate. Got 7 lbs of them in dehydrator. Still have about 4 hours to go in oven.
Maybe this is why Hummingbirds are staying off perch on feeders.

Wngsprd, thanks, It's on Junetheeth. Hope Coco is going to be OK.

Drew, glad treatment went without to much side effects. Bagels for breakfast. Special prayers on the way.

RNG, lots of electronic boxes to investigate. I am sure you will have your own document on how the system works soon. My 48 volt golf cart charges at 53.4 volts.

Riptides, I know that feeling of not motivated. Dr, wants me to take meds to overcome it. Not going to do it. Having my place look nice is enough motivation to get over it eventually. Lots of support from family and friends.

Bird, thanks for the compliments. I get lots of opportunities to take pictures here at my place. Taking camera on walks gives me many more opportunities for more picture. I like sharing them. No other plans.

Buppies, sure wish you could share some of that rain.

PJ, I tried Melatonin for a couple of months. Still only got my 5 hours of sleep each night. Wish could get more without taking any meds. But Dr's all seem to think another pill is the answer.

Jay, another person that misses your post. Please check in.

Everyone be safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

Good Morning!!!! 75F @ 4:00AM. Sunny to partly cloudy. High 98F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph.
The Red Flag Warning continues until 8PM; a wildfire in nearby Oroville yesterday burned three homes and damaged two others. It was a grass fire that was blown into a neighborhood by the wind. That same wind has been crashing and banging all night, not much sleep as a result. Gonna be a long day.

Looks delicious, Eric. I bet those strawberries taste especially good since they came from your own garden.

Sorry about the speaker and the false alarm, Drew, but at least it sounds like your day is off to a good start. Hope the chemo effects stay manageable.

Good luck at the specialist's with Coco, Billy.

Still sounds like a delicate operation, Bill. And a whole lot of momentum going down the road!

CV19 numbers continue to climb here, too, Bruce, but so do the numbers of the recovered. Something like 90 confirmed cases county wide. Could the vent into the fuel tank be blocked?

Your guess is only off by a factor of 15, Kyle, but I bet the inspector gives it a lick and a promise type look see.:confused2: Is the spike due to more cases or better testing?

Sometimes we all just need a day off, RS. Or two or three...

Here's a shot of the battery bank, David, with the cabinet door open. Still can't see much, but there are two bins full of the cells, and a battery management system in there, too. For some reason, the installer disconnected the local display, preferring instead to use the one on the Mate3. No mention was made that local Optic access was read only; sure hope I can find a way around that. Just don't trust the 'net.

Got a call back from the building department, along with a link where I could download the signed off copy of the building permit. Eighteen pages later, I have a printed copy for the inspector when he comes out next Tuesday. I've also been told that the login info for the Optics system has been emailed to me, but I've seen no sign of it. They said they'd try again, but the salesman/project manager's computer skills aren't the best.

Had a new error show up on the van last trip to town. For some reason, the Vehicle Speed Sensor stopped reporting, and the engine controller decided to limit RPMs to 4500 by retarding the ignition. Yesterday I verified that the VSS is working by disconnecting the speedo cable and spinning the speedo with a screwdriver, and the LED on the VSS flashed and the diagnostic software on the iPhone reported a speed, so it looks like it fixed itself. So I cleared the code, but I'm not confident it won't come back. While I had the instrument cluster apart, I did a better job of the mounts around the radio, and now the cover closes all the way. Was gonna try to hook up a magnet/relay based Neutral Position Switch, another attempt to get rid of that other persistent error code, but ran out of steam.

Remembered that the one sprinkler pipe that got cut off in the trench still needed capping, so got that done. Rigged two sprinkler circuits to one set of contacts in the controller, and it worked fine. I was worried that the valves would draw too much current. The controller can only run three valves at a time, and there are four in the whole house sprinkler system. Now it's wired with two valves on two circuits, and there seemed to be enough water pressure with all four valves open to keep everything nice and wet. The wind had a lot of fun blowing the mist around, though.

Came in and figured out what I needed for a hydraulic cylinder for the auger and put together an order for it and a couple hoses from Surplus Center. Pretty sure I need to go pick up some steel for it, too, so might swing by the junk yard today to see if they'll let me wander around a bit. Then on into town for some groceries.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

Jay, we are all thinking about you and hoping you are in good health.

Ron, nice looking rodent...very destructive animals and scare the nice birds away.

66 outside this AM. Rain from Buppies finally showed up here. Should put the next four days down as inside work. According to the weather people here.

Wife took apart pantry last night. So I'll be painting it today. Of course it is one room away from my nemesis - The Front Porch.

LOL

Have a great day all. Be safe, and hope all are getting healthy.

Good morning! 70s to 90s dry, 50% humidity. A little sore this morning from the trashing about under the oaks, but already looking forward to next week when we can tackle them again. The Park is scheduled to open in October and we have miles of oaks to free. The park buildings, playgrounds, roads and RV spaces are starting to take shape in this 1,000 acre park.

Mostly, I do not know the size of the bike how do you measure to determine the size?

Good morning. It was 68° at 5 a.m. and going to only 91° this afternoon.

I did get the four dead trees down and now the cleanup begins.

The first three were close enough together that I pushed them over together.

IMG_2054.jpg

The 4th and by far tallest one, went down easier than I expected.

I was able to get an approach with the big tractor to miss the power pole guide line and two nearby live oaks. I was still concerned about overhead branches and even to whole top of the tree coming down on top of the tractors. I moved forward to get my grapple just touching the tree trunk, about 6' above the ground. I put it in low range / 1st gear, engaged the 4WD, and engine just above idle. I let out the clutch .. and pushed the tree over so slowly that the top didn't break as it gently came to ground.

I can't get the entire tree out of there, in one piece, because of all the other trees .. so this mornings plan is to cut it and the other ones into about 10' sections. Then off .. to a burn pile.

I did a bit of mowing in the same pasture where I dropped the four trees. With our recent lack of rain .. it presets dry and dusty. They're forecasting rains here .. beginning Sunday. Fingers and eyes crossed.

Drew .. glad to hear you're moving towards "normal".

Jay .. check in and let us know you're okay.

Hope everyone has a safe and productive day.

Prayers to all.
