Good morning!!!!

Good morning all. Thunderstorms yesterday and heavy rain last night is not going to make it any easier in a wetland with an excavator today. The soil we are trying to move has been below the water level for at least the last 15 years. It comes out easy enough, but the low friction means trying to pile it high is like trying to stack thick soup. A channel has been cut into the worst bit (i.e. deepest and most stinky), but I had to call a stop half way to the railway boundary as the floatation mats were sinking ever deeper into the black ooze . Approaching lightning made for an early finish to the day. Within 5 minutes of the digger moving out a duck arrived with 7 ducklings to try out the open water. It would have made a great photo, but I had had left my phone back on dry land, not that a touch screen would have wanted to respond when I was coated in mud from head to toe. Start working in the other direction today.

Rick, be good to hear that you are still in one piece if you went at those trees yesterday. How much steel plate do you have on the roof of your tractor ? :)

Everyone has their own reason to ride. Mine is that I just enjoy doing it.
No better reason than that PJ !

Congrats on achieving sun powered posting status RNG

Poured first cup of coffee. 49ー with clear skies this morning. Heading to 84ー with partly cloudy skies. Got a couple of projects on to do list done yesterday. Did not get week killer down. May be on today's list after I fix garden lights that are not working. Must have done something to the wiring Sunday. Then stay in house where it is cool.
Should be seeing a fawn with this Doe soon. No luck with Hummingbird picture.

Drew, glad you are getting settled in. Will not be long and you will be driving again. You can go visit the Whole Goods Store. Hope procedures go good today. Special prayers on the way.

Kyle, glad AC is back running.

RNG, good news on power system.

Rick, hope tree removal went well.

Eric, you could have had wife take a picture when you came back to the house. :ashamed:

Mostly, it seemed I was always repairing my boat trailers.

Bird, be careful in the heat.

Everyone be safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

Good morning! 71˚F heading to the 90's 50% humidity before sunrise. Doing a back to back brush clearing days. Yesterday was FireWise and today Park Cedarcide. Staying hydrated will be the game plan along with staying ahead of the 5 draggers behind me and my chainsaw as I go thrashing under the large Oaks. The head of the County Parks and Recreation Department will be out today to give kudos, it may be a good time to offer my services on their tractor needs.

We have red in the tomato patch. The first tomatoes will be ready to pic tomorrow with many more behind it in the next couple of weeks.

Ron your deer pic reminds me of the lady I saw on the sidewalk yesterday waving her hands at a small buck. The buck just put his head down and did bull movements. I think they are getting a little too tame in the neighborhood.

RNG waiting to hear all the news on the solar system and generator back-up that will have all your neighbors partying at your house during the fire season blackouts.

Drew great progress. If you look good you feel good, well at least better.

I have a vintage racing bike for sale. Like Ron I need an upright, big seat slow bike with lots of gears for the hills, maybe even one with a lithium battery.

60 and drizzle, with some rain off and on, going to 70.

RNG, expected to see your TBN status changed to "Solar Star Member"...congrats on your new independence. Glad you're not getting our weather...would be hard making any solar power here the last few days.

Rick, I had a chance to try out the water half of the Cha Ching...like RNG said, until I noticed the adjustment knob, I wasn't impressed, but a little turn and what a nice stream of water shooting out 20 feet. So, definitely a Cha so far...hoping the air gun will go Ching once it stops raining and I need to use it. Careful with those dead trees.

Eric, what attractive muck you have. Shame you can't bottle it and sell it to American tourists as Olde English Earth. Cool that the ducks moved in so quickly.

Ron, I spent the morning at the emergency vet yesterday...how nice it was to park next to a flower garden with lilies like your yellow ones.

Buppies, sorry you are getting too much rain.

Monday felt so much like autumn, I decided to clean the chimney and woodstove. Got sprinkled on, but glad to have it ready a few months early.

Turns out that my MIL had a blockage in a heart vein...so yesterday they cleaned it and placed a stent in...showed my wife the scan and said it looks great now...went in through her arm. Still at hospital. I'm gonna start working on her taxes today.

Jim, you are amazing. Sounds like a wonderful place to bike.
