Shhhh ... We don’t want to wake Drew yet. Hopefully he has had a good night’s sleep. Hospitals can be a noisy place.

Hope all have a great Tuesday.

thanks for the continued well wishes guys and a very good morning to you all.
Long night, up at 2am with pounding headache, no wonder since never got night meds which included Tylenol. I finally gave up and pulled the cord, staff
nicely brought me two Tylenol which at least got me back to sleep for several hours, but still up early.

Am a super happy camper enjoying my first cup of fresh brewed coffee. I think it helped with my headache too. At least I don't feel at all sick this morning, they said I might not, some shrug it off. Later on, as the chemo finds its way into bone marrow, I'm told it will get worse but so far so good.

Was shivering in bed until I got up and checked hvac, it was left on a/c. Duh. That taken care of, plus electric mattress pad and I was very comfortable last night.
worked on short list of things that were forgotten, neighbors will bring them here later this week. And another friend has agreed to do a little food shopping for me. Not getting enough food. Weight has dropped from 214 to 187. I haven't been that low since high school. Technically where BMI says it should be though so perhaps a silver lining. I got a generic overcooked cheeseburger last night for dinner, a scoop of potatoes and nothing else, except an ice cream cone. Not exactly a health food dinner....no veggies. Will have discussion today with staff about upping portion size.

Have a bunch of admin tasks today, turning off farm's internet, electric and propane get turned off/switched over day before settlement on July 6. Almost all equipment in barn already sold, next door neighbor put the word out among firemen and there apparently has been a steady stream of guys over there looking for bargains. Since I can't drive yet, guess I won't see the place before it's sold. But I sure have many visual memories.

still working on laptop, main pc wouldn't work because dongle was lost for wireless keyboard. I have a spare keyboard with a cord, so neighbor bring that later this week. Also have to sort out local wifi, working off my Verizon Mifi which has been invaluable.

hope to be posting other kinds of things soon. Particularly when I get out and can take some pictures. Until then I will delight in Ron's and others nature pics.

Coffee is done brewing. 50° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 82° with sunny skies. I did get all the tools put away from weekend projects. Then cut field next to house a second time. I think thistles have been chopped up good this time. Need to get some more weed killer down. Before it's too hot. That should be enough for today.
Wild Yellow Iris. I have been trying to get a action photo of a Hummingbird that stay flying while feeding. No luck yet.

Drew, hope you got a good nights sleep and meds get straightened out. Sending special prayers. I see you posted while I am typing this post.

Buppies, you guys south and east are sure getting a lot of rain. With the temperatures and limited rain here this spring. Grass is staring to turn brown in places.

David, amazing that some think they are special.

RNG, nice looking grapple.

RS, wish I could find someone to hay my back field.

Eric, sure hope that BH does not get stuck in one of your ponds.

Buckeye, no halyard on my flag pole. Just lower it to change flags. Previous flag pole had one. Wore out twice.

Rick, remembered to use the Cha Ching before mowing yesterday.

Don, nice vegetable cleaning station.

Thomas, good job with the B2650.

Ken, nice pictures.

Riptides, now to find and new place to Raccoon.

PJ, nice desk.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

Drew glad you're situated, and got some food.

PJ, score! on the table. I might have to try and trap them, with a cage and peanut butter.

Home's A/C went out. Diagnosed to a bad transformer 240 to 24v. It had been getting wet due to me forgetting to put Clorox in the drain tube.

Headed to get parts to fix.

63 outside this AM. Heading to lower 70s. Possible rain.

Not much going on....trying to discourage a racoon and trap the great white skunk.

No motivation for front porch work....sigh....

Hope all have a good day. Be safe.

Good morning. It's 69° and very foggy here and we'll get to 92° and humid this afternoon.

I finished mowing the pasture around the shop with the 100 hp tractor / rotary cutter, then the 55 hp tractor / rear finish mower. I just need to hit a few places with the ZT.

I'll probably start another pasture with the big tractor when it gets hot this afternoon. We get way behind, every year, waiting on the deer to have all their fawns.

I've also got four dead trees to take out in the same pasture so .. the grapple will be on the New Holland. Three of these trees "should" be pretty easy but one .. is at least 40' tall, at the corner of the pasture which limits the directions I can push it over, without tearing up perimeter fence. A power pole guide line is on a third side. The one direction, I can push it, leaves a huge "widow maker" branch, about 20' high, right above the tractor. In fact, the way it's leaning the whole top could come down . on me. So, no good choices .. for now.

David .. they should ship the "quarantine breakers" to Seattle "CHAZ" or "CHOP" or what ever it's called today. Sounds like they'd fit in there just fine.

Drew .. good to hear your getting settled in.

Hope everyone has a great "Hump Day Eve" today.

Prayers to all.

Good morning to all! Low of 65 after some nearby storms sent out some downdrafts to cool things off. Still no rain. High today going for 88.

Drew, sorry to hear your first night was not as well as planned. But the bright side is you are still on your way to recovery.

Ron, another beautiful picture, thanks for sharing. What desk are you talking about?

My son returned from shopping for a grill last night and reported they decided to get the same one we did. He said the larger grills did not have the same features and seemed to be lighter in the construction.

Today is errand and grocery shopping day, not sure if I will just do the local stuff today and go into the big city tomorrow, or combine it all today. I think I want to split it up. If I get back early enough and are not too worn out, maybe I can work on the hobby shack wall coverings. It was a good break from the work yesterday.

Everyone have a great day!

Good Morning. 55 this morning going up to 77 and sunny.
Got the weeds sprayed yesterday.
Got the wheel spacers for the tractor maybe install this weekend,
Wild Turkeys are back wandering my neighbors field.

Today is time to mow the side fields. Very dry here now no rain for a few more days.

Drew - glad to hear you are out, soon to be about. Hope they get your meds straightened out and find you some veggies!

Ron - the pictures have great detail, keep em coming.

Stay Safe and be well

Good Morning!!!! 57F @ 6:15AM. Partly cloudy skies. High 84F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph.
We'll be under a Red Flag Warning starting at 11PM tonight, running through Thursday. And PG&E is monitoring weather conditions and warning of another possible power shutoff.

Your hard work looks to be paying off nicely, Thomas.

Hope you can stay caught up with your new grass with all that rain, Buppies.

Hope the dirt man can stay out of the muck, Eric. Would love to see some progress pics.

Sounds like the move was a little shaky, Drew, but you're far better off sleep wise in the new digs. Hospitals weren't made for sleeping! Hope your chemo reactions are minimal and your recovery rate stays high. Hope you can manage at least one visit to the old home just to make sure nothing is forgotten.

Looks like a nice little grill, Ted. The one I got last year is all stainless steel, so unless something breaks and the Blaze company goes out of business, I'm hoping it's the last one I'll ever buy.

Where do all the hay bales end up, RS?

Another beautiful iris, Ron. Good luck catching the hummers in the act.

You really made out on the desk/chair combo, Paul. Happy wife, happy life!

Good luck with the trapping, Mike. I'd like to see a photo of that white skunk...

Sounds like maybe a cable and a chain saw are in your future, Rick. But be careful! We'd hate to lose you, especially with all the ChaChing just starting to come in.

Speaking of which my genie arrived yesterday, and I used it not on a radiator, but on the driveway. The air wand worked great for blowing off the dust and small gravel, but I wasn't impressed with the water wand until I turned up the volume knob. Then it did a far better job than the garden hose moving the larger gravel and digging dirt and debris out of the expansion joints.

Kind of a putter day yesterday, fixing a few more long delayed things around the house, and getting the garage cleaned up for the solar crew due here this morning. I got some push back on the punch list I prepared for them, so there's still some negotiating to do, but I'm optimistic for a favorable outcome. Nothing like waiting to the last minute to bring the system up and getting it running.

I also got the gutters cleaned and gathered up plant debris from around the house. And also tested the whole house sprinkler, and found that the line the feeds one section of it had been cut by one of the electrical trenches. Not a big deal, but I'll wait until after the work is done today to repair it.

I think the next tractor project will be to add a hydraulic cylinder to the auger, now that there are a pair of rear remotes to power it. The bracket needed looks farily simple to fabricate (yeah, YouTube!), just need to figure out what size cylinder to order. Neighbor told me of a good place to buy 3PH pins, so I'll explore there Thursday when I run errands. It's the New Holland dealer I talked with earlier this year when I was exploring skid steer options.

Yea Drew. I don't know what is wrong with the discharge prescription process.

I think there are a lot of distracted people out there. I imagine health care people are under a lot of stress. Just look at people on the road, not good. Can you imagine this going on for another year?

Chris

Ron, another beautiful picture, thanks for sharing. What desk are you talking about?

!

Should have been PJ. I fixed it.

I have the same BBQ. About 10 years old now. Still works great. Gave my 3 burner to son. It used propane a lot of propane. 2 Burn seems to never run out. Now a days I am using Treager grill the most.

Chris, they are all multitasking like crazy, getting calls all the time from colleagues saying can you come to this room please? So a bunch of times things I requested got forgotten. But I purposely called twice on the meds, I think someone was just lazy...but counterproductive to get huffy with anyone, just wanted to get out of there. Inhouse staff told me all my meds are now in, I should be back on track.

Finally got password for inhouse internet, that took first time, which was nice. So I can turn off Verizon hotspot. Having the portable unit is a luxury, but I have had to use it so many times have never regretted having it.

Steady rain out, not doing any walking today. Have room cleaned up, things put away, maybe I'll curl up on my comfy chair, a Norwegian stressless one, and read my book. First chair I ever found to be supremely comfortable, should be for what it cost, but a lifetime investment for someone with a seriously bad back. Not a traditional recliner, more like a big movable catcher's mitt that holds me in place.

An unusually cool 55°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 86° today.

Fed the dogs and cats a little early when I got home from work yesterday, and hopped on the zeroturn to get some mowing done. Got about half of it done before the light started to diminish enough to call it quits (8:15-ish). Still lots of really rough areas that are tough or impossible to mow. Stopped more than a few blue words before they left my lips. I'm sure I didn't do the blades any favors. May try to get the tractor out there tonight with the Ratchet Rake on the bucket and smooth some of it out a bit. Our moles also seem to have decided to make their own mountains in the last few days, and they were all over the place. I was covered with dust by the time I stopped.

Happy days, Drew. Congrats on your semi-successful move. You'll get the little snags worked out soon enough.

That's probably all the grill we really need, too, Ted, as it's just the two of us here. Our current grill is a Char-Broil, and has served us well for many years.

A quick Google search discovered that David's quarantine breakers have a history of being kicked out of pretty much everywhere they go. You'd think at some point they'd stop to reflect on why that is.
