Good morning all. Another night of rain and more rain. :confused3: Only occasional showers for the rest of the day, with wind rising to the 40s and 50s.
Rick, only a magician could do a better job of making a burn pile disappear.
What midday sun ? or any sun ? - oh that's so cruel RNG.
I attribute my sometimes lack of seriousness to a bad dose of flipancy-itus that I caught while growing up.
I don't know what the official figures will say, I can't think of a wetter and sunless month than this February. Those temporary barriers that were struggling to hold back the river Severn a few days ago did buckle, but they held well enough to get through the peak flow, which the environment agency estimated as 500 tons of water per second. It dropped enough next day for them to be able to change out the damaged sections. With all farmland saturated, it is sure to surge again as these last two days of rain come through. Hardly any farmers have been able to plant the usual winter crops.Eric are you having way more rain than normal, and how is the flooding?

... "Go out in the midday sun"Thanks for helping the rest of us more fully appreciate how the phrase "Mad dogs and Englishmen" came to be, Eric!
