Good morning!!!!

Good morning to all! Low of 28, high expected around 55 early, depends on how long the sun is out. Clouds expected to come in along with a cold front dropping temps 20-25 degrees. Worst about it will be high winds, gusts 50-60 ahead of the cold front....joy!

Drew, sorry to read about your neck / back pain. Good to hear that the prednisone helped with the pain, hopefully you will not have to take any more.

Roy, enjoy your “ doggie vacation “.... any time off from work is good! Have fun!

RNG, hoping everything goes as planned for you today! Hopefully the inspector did not stay up too late last night .... and the generator did not end up in some arbitrary loading dock somewhere.... soon you will have a concrete addiction like David:thumbsup:

More shop time today before any weather moves in. I do have propane heaters in the shop, but I am afraid to use them when doing woodworking, especially when there is a lot of saw dust or dust from sanding. I do not have any dust collection/ air cleaner system aside from a dust pan..... I saw too many dust explosions/ fires to be comfortable firing them up :shocked:

Everyone have a great day!

Good haul Drew, I need to check our garden totals to the food pantry, the CA gets the deduction.

Can you deduct the expenses to raise the food for the deduction?

Don, no, not unless I was a commercial farmer which adds substantially to cost.
for non profits IRS apparently has one number. I'm in a low tax bracket so this doesn't amount to very much
no matter what.

waiting on friend to take me to body shop to drop off truck. She will be late, consistently...while I am always early.
How we are wired I think.

Stay safe, prayers for all

46°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 64° today. Voice on the radio this morning suggested we may hit 70° today. We made it to 68° yesterday. Snow expected by Wednesday.

Wife decided she wanted to rebuild the storage area under the stairs this weekend, so we did that Saturday. Put in adjustable wire shelves to organize everything in archive boxes for her dog training business. We got four 48" shelves against the back wall, a 32" shelf up in the space behind the stairs, and another 32" shelf at the bottom of the stairs. She also found a USB rechargable magnetic mount light to light up the area behind the stairs (no idea why the light looks blue in one picture). We also mounted a few hooks here and there to hang some stuff, like doggy hula-hoops. My HF angle grinder still had a cutoff wheel on it from a previous project, and it made quick work of cutting down two of the shelves to 32 inches. One of those rare projects that went pretty much uneventful.

Sunday was a really nice weather day here, sunny and 68°, so I finally went got and trimmed up one of the trees damaged in the storm last weekend. I was surprised when the Husqy rider started right up. It has one of those LED battery indicators that has three colors, and the red one was flashing. But, it turned right over and fired up. Used it to pull the small dump trailer, and the Lynxx 40v pole saw made quick work of the couple of branches that needed attention. While I had the rider and trailer out, I hauled some other stuff out to "the hole" that's supposed to be already filled at the back of the pond. Wifey spent much of the day organizing her stuff in her newly organized storage space.

Went to Highland for some stuff yesterday evening. On the way there, about three miles from the house, I drove around a dead skunk in the middle of the road. When I came out of the store, I could smell that skunk funk emanating from my car. Took it through the car wash and went back home. Wife went out in the garage later and came back in to inform me that I had to get my car out of the garage, as it was stinking the place up. I can only guess that I must have driven through some "drainage" from the deceased little weasel, and the wash didn't get it all off. So, I parked it outside last night.

Kyle, I've seen some videos of guys playing those Line 6 Variax guitars through the Helix processors. Pretty interesting stuff. They can change the sounds to odd stuff like banjos and sitars, and even digitally change the tuning of the individual strings without actually physically retuning the strings. Music technology is getting crazy.
... and no, I won't be selling any guitars. However, I am selling some other equipment that I simply don't use anymore.

64°F and .10 inches rain.

Wx looking a bit iffy but hope to get back to carport anchors. One more hole to drill on cottage side then the far side. Pulling corner to corner diagonals not possible due to laundry structure, but possibly some mid points will do the trick

Have to make a PO run too

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

The Tractor is back working thanks to this Site and its members, thank you !
A little cool streak coming through, 45 this AM, tomorrow 30 something overnight... someone told me it will hit the twenties. I have only once seen the twenties out here, didn't last too long, thanks to the sun here in SoCal Desert Area.

50+ for high but it should be little higher, by Thursday it should be back to the 60's, 80 a couple of days ago.

Need to check out pressure washers, can't go by these Web Postings, one person love it, one person get a hair across their butt and posts a 1-star because a nozzle was missing or not in the correct place. I don't think the people posting reviews are thinking correctly.
Maybe just rent one this time and look further when I'm done, should only need it for a day at the most.

Has anyone been looking at new Trucks lately, Dealerships are nothing but Fraud Unit looking for some one to suck in and take all of the money you happen to mention is available (Mistake) ! I went to five Dealerships, starting with Toyota, looking for a Tacoma, a little truck, bottom line was $42K, went to Ford, F150, bottom line $46K, went to Jeep, a Gladiator, bottom line $46K, even thought they aren't selling as well as they should.
Went to different Toyota and Ford Dealerships, where EVERYONE says you get the best prices, NOT !

There was a Jeep Gladiator advertised, an Overland, just under the Rubicon, a lot of Options built in, advertised $41+K, OK, I'll look. Went to the Dealership and asked about the vehicle, as it turns out is had only a day or so ago been taken off the truck and the computer wasn't even taken out of the ship mode. Great let look at it ! medium grey, solid color, no metallic, ;leather seats with red stitching (nice), high end seven speaker stereo with Apple Car Play ( I wanted), a lot of other extra, NICE ! I want it, bottom line after Dealer added Options, Warranty, Oil Cahnge agreement, ... DRUM ROLL... $54K, their second offer $48K ! What is happening here, why if this truck was advertised at $41K, why isn't it selling for $41K ?
I was asked what I wanted to pay and I tld them $41K (which is ridiculous), I was told they couldn't sell it to me for that price. When I asked why is it advertised for that price, get this, I was told to get me in to the Dealership. Isn't that false advertising or misleading. I contacted the Attorney General Office, filed a complaint, I know nothing will come of it but at least there is a complaint against the company.

I don't usually sue people at the drop of a hat, but I thought at least a AG/Better Business Bureau Complaint might let someone else know of the problem.

OK I'm done need another coffee.

Thanks for reading, have a great day, I am still driving my 2003 Ford, still luv it and it doesn't cost me anything.

Grev, maybe take a look at the Honda Ridgeline. Only had mine since Nov and love it. Traded my Tundra for it. The RTL- E is in your range.

Years ago I was shopping for a new Tacoma. Found one that suited me online. Printed out ad, went to dealership when closed and confirmed they had the truck. Went back next day, listened to the song and dance then pulled out the ad and insisted that was their price. That’s what I paid. Of course things change in 20years.
