Roy, good luck on dump being open. Does Bella ride with you on these trips?

Nah...Bella has never been big on riding in a vehicle...anyway, dump run has been cancelled for today...

Only thing I'm going to do is see if the battery held the charge from Saturday...if it did, I doubt I go anywhere today...if it didn't, I'll have to get a battery...got my fingers crossed

Outside chores done E muffin time. :licking:
Plans for today...walk about and make meatloaf for dinner that's about it.
Good to see Andy Reid finally going to get a ring.

Enjoy the day all.

Roy, is your wife and DIL coming to Texas for business or just to play on the riverwalk?

Just play! I hope they have a ball!

I was there on business many years back (late 19910's)

Good Morning!!!! 41F @ 5:15AM. Plentiful sunshine. High 56F. Winds NNW at 10 to 15 mph.
Had some pretty strong wind coming north of Oroville yesterday that really gave me a feel for what the van would do in a cross wind. The upgraded torsion bar up front made a big difference, keeping the body level and making it a lot easier to keep the thing in one lane. Wouldn't want to spend the whole day bucking wind like that, but it's nice to know it could be done safely.

I've requested an inspection for the post holes, which was confirmed for some time today. And maybe, or maybe not, the generator will be delivered. I don't know whether to start making phone calls to find out, or just get the gate open and see what happens.:confused2: Either way, I can't go anywhere else until those two visits are out of the way, and I'd like to grab the neighbor's trailer and go fetch the steel pipes for the solar array. They're ready for pickup. In the mean time, I'll see what kind of job I can do cutting a level pad for the generator to sit on, and seeing if I have enough 2x4 lumber laying around for concrete forms.

But first I think I'll have another go on the inversion table, as I wasn't nearly as stiff and sore this morning. Too early to tell if it's the table or just a good night's rest, but it's not hurting anything, either...

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!

Good morning all. Great weather today, sunny going up to 74.
taking truck to body shop and then car to DMV, where it will be interesting to see what they fine me for being 2 months overdue on tag.
At least the ticket will get dismissed.

miserable night last night, fused neck went into spasm and even standing in hot shower at 2am didn't help.
Said this was nuts and took two prednisones, and woke up with almost all pain gone. Marvelous stuff. Plus it makes my back feel better too. Too bad it has so many downsides.

Roy, enjoy your vacation and find some fun things to do.

Boy, Drew...I am sorry you're going through so many back and spinal problems! I've had back problems, but never as severe as yours...

Oh, I'll enjoy my time off...and so will Bella. Like most dogs, she doesn't like being alone. Her idea of a good time is lying on the sofa with her head on my thigh....and, I'm good with that!

Good morning. It's 62° and overcast this morning and forecast says 74° this afternoon. It was 54° at midnight and steadily warmed during the night. The weather guessers are forecasting big winds for us today so tree trimming and lighting another burn pile aren't going to happen.

I've cut down or pushed out about 20 cedar trees over past few days plus two more dead trees so ready to start on two more burn piles.

With our forecast winds I'll probably work on some project in the shop. I've got a 20 ton HF hydraulic press I want to build a mobile base for so that's on the agenda today.

Ron ... we've not really had much of a winter this year. A few frosty mornings but ... pastures remain green.

Roy .. enjoy your doggie sitting. Hope your tractor battery held its charge. Do you have a better tester? This is the one I have.

Drew ... sorry you're still having such pain.

Don ... glad you're getting all the seat time you want.

RNG ... great news your van did well at your campus. Inspect holes? Inspector: yep em r holes ... nice en empty! You pass!

Great Super Bowl game. KC did to SF ... as they did to Texans. Big come from behind. Commercials were, for the most part ... head scratchers?

Hope everyone has a great start to your week.

Prayers to all.

Roy, I've been blessed with very good overall health all my life but a crummy spine. Just luck of the draw. Most of damage caused by lifting heavy things on the farm, and definitely by ten years of being an active fireman. But the worst damage was from wearing docksiders without any arch support. That cost me my L5 disc awhile back.

got my IRS slip from food pantry, 3,185 pounds of food grown and delivered last year, potatoes, collards and mixed veggies.
I can deduct $1.69 per pound for food given, but I only do the potatoes at $1 a pound.
Considering all the money spent on help with weeding, and other costs amortized in, probably cost me ten grand to grow it.
This year I take a break.
