32 and foggy...rain ended and heading to 50.

Well, did as planned yesterday...roasted coffee (use the metric system for weights and temps) and worked on taxes...used inches if I wanted to measure the stack of papers .

Wife woke me up at 3:30am after hearing a scream outside near our window...Coco barked, too. She said it sounded like a lady screaming multiple times. Of course it was silent once I got up. I'll look for bodies after it gets light, but no one lives nearby, and we're back too far from the road, so thinking it was wildlife. Maybe a fox, coyote, bobcat or owl. But she was sure spooked.

Could also have been a rabbit getting killed by something. They can make the most awful noises as they are dying. Very spooky.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 16ｰ with clear skies this morning. Heading to 35ｰ with chance of snow most of the day. Got grocery shopping done yesterday. Got last document needed for taxes yesterday. May work on taxes today. 4 small deer showed up at feeders yesterday evening. Cardinal stayed around long enough to get some pictures.


RNG, I would have to get the $40 table just to see if it could do anything to help. Then keep a eye out for a good deal on a better one. Can always resell for a few dollars or donate. Lowest I found around here is $75. But looked good in pictures. I saw the electric one for $750 this morning.

David, I have been following Wroughton Harv ( Harvey's ) thread on another forum where he is building a Barndomininum. For his motorhome and to live in. Some of his comments on self drilling screws got me thinking about your project. He has problems with the screws hardening the metal and cannot drill hole for screw. His metal is heavier than yours.

My son had a barn burn down where his daughters raised show rabbits. They all have dreams/nightmares many years later from the rabbit screams.

Morning all! 30 here going to 36 or so. Had a light dusting of snow overnight. Not enough to clean up.
Looks like it will be a decent weekend. Seems like a lot of weather coming for the end of next week. Jay:What are we in for?
I want to clean the pellet stove today and two sisters want me to check out some carpentry work.
Kitchen rebuild and a bathroom install.I'm sure going to be busy after I retire!
Feeling ok. Doctors visit on monday to see if I stay on the new meds. Will ask for a specialist to look at my still sore big toe.
Good to hear people are getting better again. Happy Birthday to all past and upcoming!

good morning all.
Lots of rain last night, over an inch, clearing out now but cloudy day with some showers.
Have a helper coming this morning to do some chores I should be doing but not going to chance making back worse.
44 degrees going to 50, then big warmup in two days with four days in 70's. That will make the grass jump out...

opened new bag of coffee and found I had bought beans instead of ground. Fresh ground definitely tastes better than
store ground, seems to have a sweeter flavor.

RNG, you don't need to spend money on that inversion stuff, just tie a couple of those bags of cement to your ankles, wrists to the loader and ask your friendly "body" neighbor to come and pull the joystick ...

PG, that "Line 6 Helix LT" sounds like an intriguing piece of equipment that should keep you entertained. Has your wife asked yet when you will be selling all the other guitars, now you can recreate their sound from just one ?

29F cloudy mid 30's for high,January was nice mild compare to lot January in the past,fingers cross February shall be the same.

Plans for today...Mrs, said we need to do BIG food shopping etc. afternoon walk about in the woods try locate deer yard I hope from distance so I don't disturb them,take the day as it comes.

Reloading is definitely not somewhere I'd trust myself doing conversions to metric, either. Even a small mathematical error could yield potentially dangerous results.

It is probably a lot easier for me as, thanks to our restrictive firearms legislation, I'm not encouraged to have many different rifles and zero pistol calibres .

The SAAMI case dimensions only ever need converting once, after that I can stay in mm for every measurement I make myself. I run load sensibility checks using Quickload software which, although dated, is fantastic at modelling what goes on inside the case and barrel when you squeeze the trigger. Fortunately the program originates from Germany, so supports both inches and mm.
