If you got a deep enough pool with sloping bottom you just put on ankle weights (5#-10#) ... put a couple of the floatation noodles under your arms and walk down the slope ... until you're floating. The first time or two, you need to concentrate on not tightening your muscles and you can actually feel your spine relax over just a few minutes.

Rick, possibly my favorite especially when water is warm. Very relaxing. I just use a single noodle wrapped around my back and under arms as I’m a petite 250 lb.

One trick I致e done with marginal fork loads. If I can lift just enough to clear the truck bed then I値l drive out from under and lower load. Often, even if too heavy to lift I can still left enough to clear ground to move.

i thought about trying that, David, and did manage to slide the pallet a foot or so onto the tail gate. I stopped because a) I didn't want to warp the tailgate, and 2) I didn't want to see what it's like to tip the tractor forward onto the forks using the front axle as a pivot point.:laughing:

You'd be very surprised how much difference the ankle weights make David.

I started with 5# per ankle and went to 10# over about a weeks time. I got the idea from a physical therapist friend. I had some lower back issues about three years ago and had a couple of sessions with her. I asked about an inversion device and she suggested the pool.

Ah yes, kinda overlooked the ankle weights... can see where they would be a benefit. Will have to try them.

My source. Wife did more than a year of pool therapy after her accident, starting with having to be put in from wheelchair via the lift to where they were adjusting her stride on treadmill. I was fortunate in therapist taught me the exercises as we went along and I was in the pool with her, assisting. If no conflict, she could get extra time.

Good evening all. 39F for the start, mostly clear, calm wind. Some clouds off and on, light wind, and high temp was 56F. This morning was mainly conservation of energy, this afternoon was bike ride, nap, and town run (party prep).
Eric, last several vehicles could switch between metric and "US" measuring systems. nice sunrise
Ron nice deer pic
Buppies hope you get your mess cleaned up and your body healed.
Check most of the issue is the change over, I used both in college, most engineering problems data would be mixed from both systems, and you were told what system to use for answer. Almost 50 years of using US system and I don't want to change
Safe trip DD. don't pick up any hitch hiker bugs!!
RNG, sorry about losing your urologist, and not recommend anybody :confused2:
Ted front comes through Tuesday afternoon :( where does the rope go on her? :D
Jay always enjoy your patient stories when you can share them.
Drew glad to hear that wine and hot tub still help.
prayers for all.

29F headed to 46F slight chance some showers.

I have to pack and ready myself for work. I leave tomorrow and return on Fed 17th. Once I return I can pick up my tractor, it arrived yesterday and is being prepped.

Multiple AFB in the Pacific is the plan. Subject to change of course.

That's a lot of blue water to cover....BTW, welcome aboard.

I would probably go with the cheaper inverter, because I'm cheap. :)

32°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 42° today.

Finally broke down last night and ordered a piece of equipment for my studio that I've been eyeballing for about a year now. It's the Line 6 Helix LT modeling processor. It's basically a digital preamp and effects unit that will allow me to digitally reproduce the tone of pretty much any guitar or bass amp ever made. Like the early Eddie Van Halen tone? There's already a preset for that. Even semi-obscure and unique sounds like the early Billy Sheehan bass tone (my all-time favorite bass tone) is in there ... and that was the bit that pushed me into it. I have the old electronic preamp from Pearce Electronics that the tone is based on, but it's in bad shape these days. I had a conversation with Billy last year about my old Pearce preamp, and he was urging me to try the Helix, as that's what he's using now, too. So, I'm finally going there. Looks like my home studio will be about 90% digital now. Looking forward to getting it.

My buddy has had his Line 6 guitar and processor for a few years. He loves it. Stevie Ray or banjo sound out of his guitar. Has a good time with it at church.

Here's a nice local country Texas church. Many of you would know the organ's repair/maintenance man. :)

Good morning, temp is 25°F and going to a high of 30. Wind SSW 8 mph. Flurries.

Tractor block heater fired up and will heat the block until about 9-10 A.M. I will be plowing today and clean everything up.
After the plowing and greasing, I think energy conservation will be in the cards again.

The new glasses are great! Next Tuesday I will be picking up the other pair of glasses and delivering the D.I.L. to the hospital for a bone marrow density scan.

Have a good day all

32 and foggy...rain ended and heading to 50.

Nice looking church, Kyle.

Well, did as planned yesterday...roasted coffee (use the metric system for weights and temps) and worked on taxes...used inches if I wanted to measure the stack of papers :).

Wife woke me up at 3:30am after hearing a scream outside near our window...Coco barked, too. She said it sounded like a lady screaming multiple times. Of course it was silent once I got up. I'll look for bodies after it gets light, but no one lives nearby, and we're back too far from the road, so thinking it was wildlife. Maybe a fox, coyote, bobcat or owl. But she was sure spooked.

28 right now...high in the mid-30's today...
Need to make a dump run and pick up a BP meds prescription.
One thing I wrote about a week or so back was my tractor battery is dead...I'll try jumping it today, If that doesn't work, I guess I'll have to run down to Lebanon NH and pick up a replacement. We have snow coming in this week and I want to be ready.
This is the first day on my week long vacation. It's not actually a "vacation" since I'm really going to be dog sitting Bella while wifey and stepdaughter go to Texas (San Antonio) for a week. Bella has never had separation anxiety (just goes on the sofa when we leave), but a week is too long to be alone for 10-11 hours a day.
