Well, now I've heard it all; a health fanatic that doesn't get the flu shot.:laughing:

If you you would put "NATURAL" in front of word "health" in the sentence above it might make more sense.
Your threshold for fanatic must be low I never considered myself a fanatic just common sense, like, you know, don't smoke, don't eat the food that causes the progression of heart disease when you have heart disease - simple common sense things. . . .
Maybe if I had been into natural health earlier in life I would not be on my one perception drug and could be like my wife who has more common sense than me and prescription drug free.
I have never said one should not get the flu shot, just be aware to still do the preventive things because all strains are not covered.

Good morning! a beautiful 37˚F blue sky day. A good day to attend a funeral. The guy who leased my land for his cattle for 20 years died.

Drew I have been to the ER twice because of dehydration and your symptoms were like mine. Not fun, but a liter IV got me back to normal each time.
Question: Why doesn't the Dr. change your prescriptions to something with side effects you can live with?

Morning all;
A sunny day at 28F this morning, 5-6 inches of snow on the ground.
Have to do some snow removal in a bit just sitting here in the nice warm house enjoying the 3rd cup of coffee,
even though I know what the results of that we be, later. I'll be climbing down out of that warm cab to get rid of it.

Best wishes to all with health issues, I know how that goes.

Drew sorry to hear of you motorhome misfortunes and canceled travel plans.

I can see out in the fresh snow were my resident hawk got his breakfast, looks like it was a squirrel this morning.

Never a good day for a funeral, some just not as bad as others,
had a cousin go down last week, quite a surprise he was in good shape, no known issues, heart took him out,
at least it was fast. He was only in his mid 70's.

Mostly, hopefully you're not too sore this morning.

I get flu shot yearly. No side effects. Got fluish about 10 years ago when my SIL (a public school teacher), brought it to our house at Christmas time. Must've been that different strain.

Just had some wonderful coffee my wifey made. Puts Starbucks to shame. I still can't drink black coffee. My guess is you need to either have been in the navy, an E5 sargent or higher, or just a tightwad to not put a sprinkle of sugar and cream in some coffee... :) Baileys Irish cream if you have it. Yumm.

Sorry about your cousin Lou.

Drew, home sweet home.

David, I know 16 bags does not go far... especially when you factor in all the mixing, then you pour it out, and then you have this tiny little blob sitting there that does not spread to far. The mix miraculously shrinks when wet.....

Good morning to all! Low of 27, going up to near 50 again. Storm rolls in by Tuesday with another chance of snow.

Drew, glad you made it home OK. Hope your IP provides you with a fantastic meal this evening! Get well soon!

RNG, fingers crossed here hoping you get the engine started! Yes, the son has hours of video that he goes through. He usually has to change the battery on the GoPro at least 3-4 times while we are working. I am not sure how long they are supposed to last, but it does not seem too long...

I am sure I missed some other goings - on here, but I cannot remember all of my reading....

Today is more seat time spreading out 24 tons of gravel / road base. This was a new mix the local supplier is getting from a quarry about 15 miles away. It is far better than the last batch of their own mix, that batch had way too much dirt in it. Want to get it all spread before any weather moves in.

Everyone have a great day! Prayers sent.

Drew, home sweet home.

ain't it always true...no matter what.

and now a flower garden, big one, to plan. Never done this before, and if only to snazz up the place for sale, so be it.
It's the journey and not just the end post.

63°F and .29 inches rain.

Hope removed form from concrete and a bit of clean up this morning. Otherwise watch some playoffs and relax.
Hand and Foot later. Shrimp curry for dinner.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

RNK. New slab is 6” over the old 4 inch where it will anchor the carport legs.

Drew - I struggle with dehydration.....my body does a terrible job of retaining potassium. Try Vitamin Water Revive. That specific formulation does wonders for me.
.

My son had symptoms of heart issues last summer and went to ER. Turned out to be low potassium.

I was given last rites about 15 years ago due to low potassium. Guess I wasn稚 ready and not as far gone as the ER docs thought. So I pay a lot more attention to low potassium and staying in front of it since then.

I have a bottle of potassium too, never used it, they say levels are ok. ?
Thankfully all of my labs are online and I can easily look them up.
Not now, need a break, put
rv under shed after unloading with all the fussing than entails, hooked up to power, autoleveling on so weight off tires, no flatspotting.
This is where I have no endurance, get tired too easily.
But chores done, exercise actually felt good.

Realized I hadn't drained the fresh water system so back down I go later. Front coming through with much cold weather tonight, around 26. Need to drain water tank and small instant hot water tank. Need to put some pink stuff in a few lines too. I keep low heat on all the time to keep the humidity/mold out.

Ron, I took pictures and not much to see. Found specs and serial number of awning, it's externally attached and cover actually looks designed to break off on plastic tabs. It's the first point of contact on that outside corner.
At issue is anything else other than the cover missing. Doesn't look like it but I'm sure not testing if to see if awning still works or if mounts are torqued in any way. At fourteen feet long I can't put it back on anyway so let the dealer test it. Going to email these pics to parts dept. first.
Awning is on right side of unit looking forward. Sure wouldn't have liked to wack the other size, more machinery over there...

Need to read instapot manual while resting.

Should be able to find parts for awning. Should be a tag someplace with model and serial number. Usually on awning fabric.

Doctors don't give a rats behind if you have side effects from a particular drug. It just gives them an excuse to write yet another prescription for another drug that will more than likely have its' own side effects. I do NOT trust them as far as I could throw them. My doctor from 1965 until 4 years ago finally retired, she got it right. They don't call it a 'practice' for nothing you know.

Ron, that info came on a nice list of component parts of the entire rig. Have to call Tuesday and send the pics to dealer. Made by Carefree, whoever they are.

Bill, I have serious arthritis and SDDD and have been pilled out for a long time. Could never have worked this farm without Celebrex for arthritis. I was supposed to be in a wheel chair ten years ago per the pros, and I just work through the discomfort.

why not have an intelligent software, in case you can't find competent medical folk to do it, to kick off a list of potential medical incompatibilities and make it required to point them out? I'm not thinking like a lawyer but as a guy who has likely been overdosed and under monitored...

Potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium, doesn’t matter, any electrolyte imbalance can cause those symptoms. Their balance is critical to heart function and lots of other stuff.

44 here, windy but temps didn’t fall rapidly all day as predicted.

Got pork roast, baby potatoes, onions and carrots in the slow cooker.

Ellen is up and about but still showing head cold symptoms.

Prayers for the health of all.

very interesting Rick, worth the time, which few infomercials are...
This is very common in Bermuda and many other islands, makes the roofs very pretty, everything spotlessly maintained though you have to wonder about
bird poop... and what that gull ate before you...
In a dry region, this is really good to know. Plus the whole idea of self sufficiency is appealing.

Once there was a traveling salesman in a post apocalyptic world, where gangs fought to control the water sources,
and you just smiled at your Water Wonder install, never have to worry about water again.
As history as shown us water
is a big deal...
I think I'd buy a tornado shelter first...

A lot of folks, in Texas, harvest rain water, to one extent or the other. I've thought a lot about it with all the roof area of ranch house and big shop building.

We just barely exceeded 40" of rain in 2019.

A very big deal indeed. In Kalifornia it was illegal to harvest rainwater until 2012, when a new law went into effect to allow homeowners to do it. it was driven by the droughts and the need for water to fight fires in rural areas.
