Great news BEF! Keep doin what you are doin!

It was a nice day, so took the canopy off and painted it to match. I have decided to make it easy on / easy off, so I will mount some slightly larger square tube to the ROPS, then the canopy mount tubes will just slide in.

Already down to 23, gonna be chili tonight. Had lab work this afternoon for my nephrologist appointment tomorrow. Also have to go to retina doc tomorrow, had a floater in my eye for three days. Day starts with grandsons Christmas play at 8:30.

Hey Randy, about 5 or 6 years ago I woke up with no vision in my right eye, it took me a while to figure it out,I just knew something wasn't right.Of course it was 4:00 a.m. on a Sunday so I did all the things that we are told to do to see if we've had a stroke and everything else was fine.We live in a real small town that had a hospital back then so the wife took me to the e.r. and no one had a clue. There is a branch of a pretty good sized eye clinic here but no way to contact them.I wasted my time there til my Dr. who had a urgent care office opened and went there. They looked at it and said it didn't appear that I'd had a stroke but it could be a serious eye problem so they sent me to a big hospital in San Diego and they said the same thing and told me to sit down and they would get right to me.Two hours later a nurse called my name and I went back to have all my vitals checked ,told the same old story ,and go back to the waiting room. We sat there 4 more hours and my wife went up to the desk and asked if they had an opthomologist on call. They said no but we will see you as soon as possible. We left.

The next day,Monday I went back to my doc's and his P.A. was amazed so she got on the phone and got me into the ophthalmologist right away.He checked me over and said that I had a retinal artery occlusion which is like a stroke only in the eye. He said I should have gotten in sooner so I gave him a real good ripping about their lack of emergency availability. He wasn't aware but sent me to a retinal specialist in the next city who checked me out and said it was definitely an occlusion but rather than being caused by a clot, was more likely a small fragment of plaque from one of my surgery sites.

This is just one of the things that can happen when we have these type of problems ,rare but possible. I certainly hope yours is just a floater that will clear up in time. Good luck.

Don't leave us hangin' like that, Jim! Now we're all wondering what happened to your eye!

Mostly straight line riding to Hollister today, except the last little bit coming over CA152 and the coast range. Oh, and a few miles along the levee roads north of Sacramento. No rain, though, and even a little sunshine toward the end. Should'a spent a few more bucks on the room; the guy in the next one over just burped.:confused2:

Tomorrow we head to Kernville, CA, mostly on two lane roads. Hopefully I can talk my buddies into eating at the brewery there.:drink:

Jim; I had trouble seeing that picture with 20/20 vision (corrected) and a foot and a half from the 'puter screen.

I ended up with laser surgery on some leaky vessels in that eye, after a solid three hours, he said the floater was likely not serious, and it is better today.

Good evening all. 38F for the start, cloudy, calm wind. Light wind day, overcast all day, high temp 48F. Wife encouraged me totry out Christmas present. Minor assembly required, plugged it into a wall and went to work. Capacity of 5 ton, will do a 10 inch oak log if you pay attention to the wood grain. I didn't at firt and with the light construction, the wood was releasing with a pop and the split pieces would go flying :confused2::ashamed:
Spent 2 hours working on wood pile, got three wheelbarrows split, and wasn't a waste case. It is set up to require 2 hand operation, not sure how long that will last. Decided not to ride, but plan on it tomorrow. Won't get Volagi back till after Christmas, bike shop had to order new rear derailleur and they are closed next week. Stepdaughter is doing as well as can be expected, arm in sling, with NO removal for 2 1/2 weeks, just call her "lefty" .
Randy don't over do your activity!!
Bill no need to sit in corner, wife and I put off town trips as long as possible.
Billy so I guess you have mud to contend with as well while cutting tree.
Eric your welcome from one unruly American, glad to save you tuck point time :D
Thomas good luck learning your video camera.
Ron I understand the desire for a reasonable temp to ride in. You probably don't have the winter riding gear I do, either. Nice pic
Ted good to hear roof is done, congrats to son on new job.
Buckeye, BIL was forester before he was hydroligist, We were working on downed tree from ice storm, he told story of coworker using 4 separate hinges on one tree to get it to fall where he wanted it. Wow. Congrats on finishing with nerve Dr.
Ted nice paint job
Jim quite the story how is your eye?
Randy thanks for update.
prayers for all
