Jay, glad you got to fly first class.. I often flew first class back in 1999-2000 when I traveled all the time. The airline upgraded me for free, was very spoiled. I knew met and talked to many of the pilots and the flight attendants were always great. The only bad first class experience I ever had was American Airlines, the first class flight attendant was drunk, everyone in first class was upset.

The stove is running fine with old old part, the part one year old failed. I will decide what I want to buy as replacement, might see if local service guy has one, perhaps. I would like to replace the gasket under the pilot assembly (about 1" by 2"), but it is $55.

Just spoke with the manager that picked up my old work group (that I still technically work for).. They are not approving a replacement for me currently and the remaining team is refusing to take my work (my opinion, none have said so to me), so this may drag on awhile. It might work out that I get that other job that I was interested in if this drags on too long..

My wife is feeling much better today, starting to get busy again. I will have to put my foot down if she over does it though. She needs rest to recover.

Glad your wife is feeling much better. Hope she continues to get better. I'm wondering why the new part failed? Crummy workmanship/design/materials? Did it get overheated?

First day went ok. Traffic worse than usual due to rain. Was tested by one idiot who didn’t yield, pulled out right in front of me from cross road that had red light. So I went to the left lane, and they continued over in front of me, now braking. So I had to brake real hard and move back to the right lane.

Work was ok. I share a private office with 1 other. He said someone tried to come in and just take over my desk. Fortunately my coworker went to our manager and stopped it. Lots of people moved around due to reorg after the buyout.

Probably go to bed early.

Happy to hear of your progress. Hope the job comes back smooth. I meant to ask about your go kart? Fast? or just a play toy?

My mom had an early 50's Pontiac that had the same floorboards as Don's old truck. You could shuffle like the Flintstones if need be.

Dug out all of the Christmas lights, spent all day getting them put up. Mr knee is not happy, but the wifey is. That is all that matters...

I need to put up some lights, but have not had time. The front is coming and the weather shall turn bad for a day or 2.

Good evening all. 60F for the start, light wind, mostly overcast sky. Front came through about noon, wind got brisk, intermittent drizzle, high was 67F, low will be about 36F at midnight. Choir practice for the start, got back and we have Scooter again. Was going to ride bike but rain on radar, dropping temps, and wind dictated otherwise. Did get new tarp on wood, last years tarp gave up last storm system. Got the batteries out of boat and charged them. Choir had performance at supper.

Good morning, general forecast is for a windy day and being quite exposed to southerly's I expected it to be even rougher here. So I got out at first light to take down the fabric canopy from over my welding table. It proved to be quite a wrestling match, if I had left it much later I would have been paragliding

BEF, pleased to hear you made it back to work at long last.

Randy, you have transformed that into a very nice garden. Had to do a bit of research to get to grips what you good folk on the other side of the pond call a "backyard". Over here a "yard" is only the hard surfaced area and ends where the grass starts. Yours is the whole nine yards - and then some !

Good morning,
the temperature is 7 °F and going to a balmy high of 9. Wind NNW 16 mph. Flurries.

We had a 'flash freeze' last night. 36 when I went to bed and 7 now. Everything will either be pretty slick or the roads froze dry. I won't know until I get out there.

Boy did I ever screw up yesterday. After I made the appointment with the eye Dr. I wrote it down and made the arrangements for a driver to bring me home. 08:40 A.M. on the 9th. Then promptly got the fool notion into my head that it was 8:40 on the 10th. I phoned the eye doc around 2 yesterday to confirm the appointment for today and the girl did some checking and told me I had missed the appointment. Luckily there was aa cancellation for today at 11:40 A.M., so I grabbed that one. My driver is still available, so I will pick him up at 10:30 A.M.
