Mostly, 6:35 in the seat is a long ride on a motorcycle, having to peddle is twice as hard. Hope you had a tall, cold one for your efforts.

I considered getting a 3 point splitter, but with only one tractor, and using the 3pt lift to carry rounds and the FEL with bucket or grapple to carry more rounds or logs, decided to go with the gas engine model.

Thanks for the moth ball tip. I had forgotten. I'll buy some.

That's exactly why I got an electric splitter (which Kyle has now) and sold my never used 3point splitter.

My mom thought moth balls would be good to get rid of ants, wrong, that is poison your breath, had to air out the house.

70˚F clear skies, going hiking.

Just might split a little myself this afternoon if I can get the tired BS1250 to start. Had to use ether a few times, just a little, likely the carb
is getting unhappy. I put a lot of Sea Foam in it so once it gets running, it clears up and purrs. I can't pull like Wngsprd, arms can't take it,
so it had better start in five or six pulls. Of course it sits for quite a bit, and there's no primer on it so takes a while to suck the gas through
it. I spray the ether into the air cleaner foam filter which always does the trick.

Starting fluid seems to act like steroids. Works marvelously for a short while but seriously bad on you if overused or for too long.
Using ether on diesels is another story and that argument has definite sides with strong opinions. Some tractors even came with ether can injection
built in. Modern tractors seem to deal with the cold much better.

Happy birthday David!

Had a busy day, church, visit mom, meet my daughter for a Christmas drop off, pick up dog and go look at carports, then to lunch/dinner, great flounder! Then a run down just across the Virginia line to the Food Lion to get Fordhooks. You can buy all that stuff like field peas and crowders in Virginia, but not Maryland, even though a lot of Maryland is further south than some of Virginia.

Pretty day hung around 50° most of the day, but very breezy, 42° now, .69 “ of rain overnight.

Looking, so many interesting cars. I never understood why the big 3 automakers branded some models differently in Canada. Do they still do it?
I am not sure. I do know that for years we couldn't get a Dodge Pickup unless it was branded FARGO. Same truck, different name. Ford and Meteor were the same way.
leased a 1998 Neon
how dependable was that car? I always liked it but apparently it liked the service bay too.
I had no trouble with mine. None what so ever and I drove the snot out of it, mostly highway driving. It was the 'sport', twin overhead cam, 5 spd with cruise control that I seldom used. I like to think I broke her in right. Chryco said 3000 kms varied speeds and engine rpms. I saw the odometer turn 3000.1 kms and it was out of 4th and into 2nd and redline 2,3,4 then looked at the speedometer and slowed down. I was doing 160 km/h or 100 mph. Not bad on a 50 mph road.

Eric----"LS, I thought you were downsizing, that looks a very generously sized garage"-----

We have downsized....the garage is my son's....he is buying "the big house" from us. We had subdivided the land, and put our new cottage on the adjacent parcel. When the subdivision was done, the original garage ended up being on the new parcel.

Attached is a pic of our garage.
