Good morning all. The sun is shining and forecasters are still confident there will be no rain until the weekend.
I always enjoy seeing what others have been up to too. There are always things going on here that are interesting, even if I have no need to do the same, such as RNG's fire sprinklers and with others you can never know how they will turn out, like Davids underground tunnelling adventures. We get to admire Checks cladding, frown on Don cheating at woodwork by using a laser (only kidding Don!) and lots of other things, something different almost every day
My project to get the house passed by building control is getting closer to completion. This last section is not as old as the rest of the house. We think it was built just over a hundred years ago to house a static engine, but hadn't been given much TLC for many years. This is how it looked when we first bought the place.

A skilled bricklayer rebuilt the far corner for me and I got the worst of the wall at ground level sorted a few years ago. With a new roof on it didn't look too bad so I left it while last. All the bricks are machine made and many have been laid with vertical joints less than 1/4 inch wide, with mortar missing going right back, so this will take me a few days. I need to get back to it now or the mortar won't have firmed enough to strike off before nightfall.

Enjoyed all the shared photos lots of projects going on.
