Good Morning
36° sunny and a high of 65 for today.

Yesterday’s trip was just the way I like them. Uneventful. Was in Palm Beach just long enough to eat lunch and get refueled. The only small glitch was that the passengers for the return trip went to the wrong place on the airport. That was quickly remedied. I did commute with the little plane which was fun. It was quite breezy, and Doylestown airport where I keep it only has one runway, and it’s oriented exactly 90° to yesterday’s 25kt gusts. A little challenge keeps you young.

Today is going to be spent emptying the mulch from the dump trailer and creating new beds around the OFH. The new grass is coming up very well where it’s been irritated, not so much where it hasn’t been.
Not sure if there is music tonight, I’ll have to catch up to find out. Looks like my bedroom might move tomorrow, we’ll see how that goes.

Happy Anniversary to Frits and the Mrs.

Good Morning to All who celebrate! Currently, 41 heading to a high of 67, sunny and crisp this morning. The coffee tasted pretty good. There was some frost on the truck this morning.

I can report that I survived the work week, barely. Just another 7 hours to get through then off to mow the neighbor's place. They're off visiting their youngest who's based in Japan. So that will be some good seat time to process this week. Otherwise no plans for the weekend. I'd like to get after those red oaks, but timing schedules prove to be difficult. Ah well, suppose there's always November. Plenty of time yet before it gets properly cold. I've been selling out of my stockpile, and watching it shrink is difficult.

Welcome back, Drew! I much enjoyed following your adventure!
Phil, not everyone can be as skilled of a craftsman as you. :) Some of us are lucky to survive woodshop with all of our fingers.
Wag, hope the new valves resolve the hot water issue at the church.
Rip, best of luck with the in-laws. I can understand, I'm already foreseeing an issue with the family when Grandma goes to her reward.

Everyone else not specified, please be safe and enjoy the lovely fall weekend ahead!

Morning all, 39 going up to 67 and sunny , dry.
Put out more Halloween decorations and did some leaf moving.

M7040 - really do hope she is feeling better, rough to be on holiday and be sick.
Only spent a few hours in Laos and never been to Vietnam, so hope she can get to fully experience that. Neice was in Vietnam when they had that heat wave recently, so hope the weather is good for D.

Scotty - Nespresso is better than Keurig for what it does, but both won't compare to a real coffee or espresso machine. For espresso, the Nespresso is the clear winner, for regular coffee, matters more the type of pod you use.

Be well,

Needs a haircut.

A few weeks ago the District Attorney called about hit and run case from last November. Said he will plead guilty how much time do I want him to serve. I said not up to me. The DA wanted to know what I wanted. Think he should be required to go to AA if he misses meeting mandatory jail time. Oh we cannot do that not set up to work with AA. I said maybe you should be. Solutions that could be done not being done easier to put in jail no real solution here. I tried system is broken
Yep, if guy was drunk, he needs help, but it has to come from within usually as outside help sounds like a garbled radio to them.

I've always been an admirer of those who can land in extreme crosswinds. Videos of large jets in UK come to mind.

Good Morning
Mowing a number of small fields today
Off in the woods, you see a stone building
That is a Quaker Meeting House
Behind the house is a cemetery

World Series starts tonight. Gee, California or New York.

Which state do I dislike the least?

Cody is multilingual. Wife speaks German when she corrects him, Danish when given praise and English for anything else. Bubbies not sure he understands as many words as you were talking about.
Brother was just discharged after another week in the hospital. Not sure what is going on but kids are worried about him still insisting on driving because he falls asleep all the time. They may get his DL taken before something bad happens
Read D's complaint. It is based on gender discrimination and retaliation for pointing it out. She arrived safely in Hanoi

Good Morning!!!! 53F @ 7:45AM back in Yankee Hill. Partly cloudy skies. High 79F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.
What ever happen to the days when you only went to the doctor when you were sick?
We got old, and like an old truck, things just wore out. Some things are easy to fix or replace. Others, the doctors tell us, we just have to live with.

Congrats on a great trip, Drew! Thanks for taking us along, and for dropping by to say Hi! What was the best part?

Speaking of trips, yesterday's started earlier than usual, and in the dark. Made it to the Cuesta Grade just as the sky brightened. Have come down it in the dark and rain pulling a heavy trailer, and hope never to have to do that again. Made Sacramento by early afternoon, ran my errands, and managed to survive a couple of side swipes using brakes and horn. Need a louder horn on the van.

No surprises at the old place, just a waiting punch list.

TGIF gang!

What was the best part?

meeting you of course :)

home from errands, unloading house plants, then going outside to work.
many many trips back and forth from rv, will get my steps in today

picked up two gallons of -50 antifreeze from Tru Value in Doylestown, on sale for 3.50 a gallon, which today
seems reasonable
no rush because no freezing weather in 10 day forecast
I do want to drain the fresh water tank though, then I can flow air in and finally close the drains and will pour antifreeze in traps and tanks.
But not freshwater tank. I don't care if they say it's non toxic I don't want those chemicals in my fresh water tank.
antifreeze, hmmm, might have forever chemicals maybe???

70°F and .05 inches rain

Should get my LS back together this morning. Let fuel tank sit overnight with solution to loosen any possible crude. Such a weird shape to deal with. No way to be sure all nooks and crannies are clean.

Sophie has follow-up with ophthalmologist that did her surgery. Hope he is as pleased as his standing has been. Afternoon appointment.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good Afternoon Ken,
Scotty - Nespresso is better than Keurig for what it does, but both won't compare to a real coffee or espresso machine
Thanks Ken, kind of what I thought but it’s always good to hear from others with more experience!
On vacation both Kathleen and I will occasionally get an espresso , and yes if done right it’s really the best !

Dennis, safe travels and enjoy the trip !

40 heading to 70 and sunny. October is typically the driest month unless a hurricane comes through, and my rain gauge agrees.

Congrats to your son, LS.

Don, sounds like you have quite the activity in your yard, at night, I presume. Yesterday, when I looked outside after it started getting light, there was a red fox curled up near my truck. Gone by the time I went outside to feed the birds a few minutes later. Trail cams have given us a peek into animal activity that we never knew was going on in our yard at night.

Split the magnolia wood I had cut, stacked it in the pallet, and brought the "leftovers" that wouldn't fit to the rack I had placed back onto the porch. Too windy to clean the chimney, so that's next.
I suspect there is a very special place in heaven for you and your wife.
