Good morning!!!!

A while ago, I remember reading about a way to attach a steel pipe to a garden hose, and use it to jet a hole under a concrete driveway. I don't know how far you have to go, or how large the new gas line is, but something along those lines might work.

You could even soup it up by using a pressure washer to feed the pipe, but that might be over doing it!

I’ve read with some degree of fascination about that in past. Two reasons I have discounted it. We have a nice rock base under the concrete, well packed. Under that is a somewhat clayish soil. Most likely even if it worked, I suspect it would be very very slow going. Perhaps if there were a method to extract the greasy slurry.

Plumber has a diamond blade, but we need to rent the saw. Probably get a walk behind. I can align the cut along the existing stress cuts.

32 right now...high in the mid-50's today.

Charged the ZTR's battery yesterday (after work)...not completely, but enough to know the starter is OK. I have a battery tender, but I'd really rather not leave that plugged in al winter.

Good morning. A few steady showers had me catching up on boring paperwork yesterday afternoon. This morning it is dry, bright and a good few degrees warmer too. Best of all, with the groceries now stocked up, I am allowed to play out all day :dance1:

RNG, that laser pointer has proved very useful, is "magnetic perturbance" a recognised fault finding technique on Vanagons ? :)

David, at least you know what other services are buried in the concrete. I find diamond discs a lot better than the old abrasive discs. With a good dust mask and wet cutting, or a favourable wind, hopefully it shouldn't be too bad at all - unless you put in a lot of thick rebar

JB, I hadn't appreciated until I saw the names on your pic of "Fishing with the Fly" just how far back Orvis fishing equipment goes.

When I was young there was still a great social divide between upper class fly anglers who fished exclusively for salmon and trout and working class anglers who were happy to catch anything. As the son of a steelworker, growing up in a city that was too polluted for any flies, let alone trout, to be stupid enough to breed in the waters close to home, I was never destined to be in the elite class, though I have always been fascinated by all types of fishing.

A few years ago I paused to looked through the window of an Orvis shop as we strolled through a very up-market town. My wife knows little about fishing tackle, yet one quick glimpse of the items on display was enough for her to doubt that this was the right place for me. I didn't go in, yet I am sure that nowadays they don't care who enters, the credit card machine now decides who is worthy enough to purchase their goods.

David, wow, and oh man, look at all that cutting. I thought you were done your "big project"...
Job security I guess...

Allegedly new lawn care guy has not returned my calls since Sunday. Looks like another no show. I simply scratch my head to wonder how these folks earn a living acting so irresponsibly. Returning phone calls is like lesson number one in basic business. Perhaps my discussion with him about the importance of reliability threw him off...this is now two in a row for no shows. If no call today, I'll be weedeating tomorrow. Good thing the garden is caught up or this would be too many plates in the air.

I actually feel pretty good this morning with less ear vibration. Off to get haircut first thing, then back for a nice 80 degree day. Trays of okra seeds coming up, going to wait just a little longer for soil to warm more. Might be a nice day to run the Farmall with the cultivator and try not to rip up the potatoes this time.

There must be a lot of OX sensors being sold aftermarket because it seems a lot of them fail. Nasty environment to work in though...glad that will get the Journey happy again.

The azaleas are blooming like mad, color everywhere, such a nice time of year to be outside.

20 °F and going to a high of 50. Wind SW 2 mph. Rain starting this afternoon and going right through to Friday.
That will strip away the snow, for sure. I will probably need to go 6 miles 'out of my way' to get to town. The creek will flood over the road for sure.

A trip to Sundridge is in the cards for today. I am getting new wheel locks for the Journey.
Other than that, I think I will conserve energy for the rest of the day.

Have a good day all

Concrete saws walk behind works well self propelled not so much. Ever consider blade hooked to skid loader maybe wide enough so only one cut needed

Prayers for all

Good morning! 54 now, 73 later. Yesterday turned out to be a nice day. Tomorrow might be the first 80 of the year.

I mowed Saturday, looks like I need to mow again already. Yep, definitely spring.

Changed the oil and did some other spring maintenance to my 68 BSA last evening. Started in 3 kicks, so went for a short ride. Still love the sound of a Brit twin.

Still nothing on the road trip. Likely we will just HAVE to have a meeting today so there can be a decision made.

Well, time for another cup of coffee and time to get moving.

Everyone have a safe and good day
