Good morning!!!!

I can't deride anyone who wears sweat pants in public. They are my leisure pants of choice. In fact, I used to have a job where the dress code was very ... shall we say, loose. I spent ten years there wearing sweat pants and T-shirts every day. As that place was in the process of closing down back in '03, one of the production supervisors came into my office pointing and laughing and saying, "Ha ha ... now you're going to have to get a real job and wear real pants."

I wear jeans and a polo at my job now, but I still wear sweat pants when I'm at home. At 52, I'm not likely to break that habit anytime soon.

Wishing you well with the arm, Ron.

I've never owned any sweat pants, didn't own a pair of shorts till I went in the hospital for a knee replacement.
A couple of pairs of dress slacks, good jeans and work jeans :D

69°F and .27 inches of annoying rain.

Met new neighbors who bought just up the road and hope to move from Cleveland in next few years once they retire.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

I once had to listen to a slovenly software developer complain how he got no respect, and didn't make as much money as his cohorts. I pointed out that one's personal appearance was a reflection of their values and behavior, and people's natural assumption is that his work was subpar in keeping with the rest of his nature. Needless to say, my remarks were not well received, even if they were accurate.:laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:

We got our absentee ballots couple weeks ago. Haven't opened them yet. But am making a list of who not to vote for based on their BS TV and radio ads
So you voting a blank ballot? Lol

Some of the things in those negative ads, are the things i like about the opponent they are trying to put down...

PJ, I have not been wearing PJ's out. But the sweats I have been wearing are very close. Kind of hard to put jeans on with one arm.
After my surgery last nov, i wore sweats for a couple months. Even to Dr. Visits.

Larro.
Good to read your attitude still positive after that nasty storm and what lays ahead.

Larro, good to hear from you, it looked like this all went over your head and apparently it did.
Sorry about the pine trees, what a mess. One last bumper crop but what a mess to clean up. Hope you have a grapple.
Glad your house is ok. I know you can't catch up on this but we've been worrying about you.
Larro takes one last walkabout to the river camp in the hurricane...

got the field mowed, and then went to work on the Massey, got it clean and shiny again. Ready for tonight's batch of spiders.

ordered two small glass lamps from Amazon, came in fully wrapped in foam/styrene. Is that stuff recyclable?

So far, we have no "rules" that can be enforced concerning recycling. It's all voluntary, but I do the best I can to recycle as much as possible. Only clean, dry waste. But I've thrown Styrofoam in the recycling bin, and I just, a couple of days ago, reviewed the rules for a new neighbor, and find that "Paper, Plastic & Styrofoam Serving Items" are on the list of items to NOT recycle.

I wonder if “Serving Items” is the disqualifier as many people would toss them loaded with food? I know we toss styrofoam packaging in with rest of plastics for recycle.

1 3/4" of rain today. Started about 3 a.m. Our pastures are now saturated and levels of both tanks close to full. Tractors parked and will probably stay parked for a couple of days.

Looks like more coming tonight and tomorrow too.

63° here and that will probably be our high for today.

Happy belated Birthday Buckeye!

Prayers to all.

I agree. Sanitation problem. And while all those driveway sealer plastic buckets I used say recycle on the bottom, as I expected, the transfer station said absolutely not unless the plastic was clean. And it sure wasn't.
Paper should recycle, most plastics should, but something makes me wonder about styrofoam. What about packing beads?
Ought to be a law it all has to be recyclable, otherwise we will all live on a giant landfill.

I just went to the Recycle meeting last week. 80% of our neighborhood does recycle the highest % in Georgetown. They had a table of things recyclable and things for trash. Your styrofoam in our neighborhood would be for the trash, however they did say in some cities they do recycle styrofoam to make packaging peanuts. So the answer is - depends on your local recycling center.

That's about all I know for sure. We have a different garbage collection company now than when we first started this recycling business. What I quoted is from the current company. I do know the first company said a pizza box with a little left over pizza in it could ruin a whole truckload of recycling material. And yes, those plastic buckets can be recycled, but ONLY if they are clean, and that's not too likely. Everything is supposed to be clean and dry.
