Good morning!!!!

Rained heavily all around us, we got about .06. We need a lot more than that. Oh well, the grass isn’t growing much at least.
Got my 6 year old grandson today, we took the dog walking, then went to the zoo and playground, then had the preferred McDonalds lunch.
Prayers and good wishes.

68ーF and clear skies this morning, going up to 86ー today.

At work, our Project Manager / Tool Maker / Setup Man is on vacation for a couple of weeks. In his absence, it seems everyone has forgotten how to do anything for themselves. The Quality Manager stepped in to save the day. Nothing particularly difficult, just setting up a coping operation on one of the mills and a cold saw cutting operation in another area, but I did end up wearing a little more grease home yesterday than normal. Sometimes it's actually fun to do something completely different for a change. I generally try to steer clear of such things in order to avoid the new expectations trap. However, it was far more painful to watch a guy about to butcher a mill vise than it was to just do the setup myself.

Shhh ... don't tell my boss I did it.

Careful, or that Project Manager / Tool Maker / Setup Man will be taking your place next time you go on vacation, and he may not want to give it back!

Just think of the Conflict of Interest headaches what your "help" would give to management if they found out...:D:laughing:

Seriously, though, I've always found far more satisfaction in things I made with my hands than in things I did with my head. I bet you feel the same way, PJ...

I've seen complaints before on TBN about FedEx and UPS, so I thought I'd throw in a new comment. My wife takes some pretty expensive medications for her advanced COPD. Those medicines come via FedEx from a supplier in Murray, KY. I just happened to be in the kitchen a few minutes ago, heard a truck accelerate, looked out the window, and saw a FedEx truck taking off. No one had knocked, rang the door bell, etc. So I went to the front door, and sure enough he had dropped the box by the front door. I checked and found that our doorbell is in working order, as always. The box with these 2 medications is clearly labelled with a bright red label and black printing "REFRIGERATE On Arrival." The current temperature in the shade is 101 degrees. If I hadn't been in the kitchen at the time, we probably would not have found these medicines until after noon tomorrow.

I can add Amazon Delivery Service to the list of bad delivery service people. UPS and USPS are the best in my area.
We require expensive meds get a signature.

I guess "expensive" is a relative term, but she gets a month supply at a time of Budesonide and Brovana and the total is $920.59. So it's expensive enough that I'm surprised that no signature is required. And of course, I don't really know how critical it is to refrigerate these two, even though they are labelled to do so, and my wife does put them in the refrigerator when they arrive.

Wife’s Jakafi is over $12k per month. No way I would allow any delivery service not require a signature. Best about the drug is it has worked for her.

88 for the high. Was 65 this morning. Next rain chance is Friday. Forecast is for severe weather.

Got my new CPAP machine. I resisted it as long as I could. But when you quit breathing during surgery and recovery it’s hard to get out of doing sleep studies. Test showed I was stopping breathing 65 times an hour. 30 is severe. My wife said I had to quit being an over achiever. Surprised the mask is as comfortable as it was during the fitting.

Audit went well and glad to here Roy’s did as well. I didn’t get a post audit visit nor a phone call so that’s good.

Hay is all baled. Should have enough for winter without a fall cut.

Hauled calves Monday they weighted good but don’t know how they sold yet. Should by Friday. On way home I had a plastic fitting fail between the heater core and heater hose. Had to have family haul it into the house. Then I bypassed the core with a hose splice and drove it to the mechanic this morning. He installed new fittings and hoses this morning. Had to have special tools to change the fittings.

Now that that truck has left me on the side of the road. The wife is really on my case about me buying a new truck. She’s been offering for over a year. Looking like a new Ram 2500 diesel is in my future. Although I’m still trying to find a Chevy 2500 diesel. Just all those around here are high option trucks. I want a work truck.

Drove past the corvette museum twice Monday. It’s between the house and the stockyards. Y’all should really watch the videos of the collapse and rebuild if you haven’t already. That whole area is sinkhole country. All tied into the Mammoth Cave system. I live on different soils. No sinkholes unless a mine shaft collapses.

Buppies. Good luck with your treatment.

Had another 1/2" of rain yesterday (lured the clouds with the welder this time ;)). Magic rain, already the fields are turning from golden brown back to green.
Still need to run by tractor supply, (you see I got a tractor mention in my post!) and get some dancing boots. All I have are well used work or snake boots. The wife is going to owe me on taking this class with her.

Good luck with matters-of-the-heart balance sheets. I try hard (sometimes), yet always seem to end up in deficit :confused3:

Truer words were never spoken.

But when it comes to "matters of the heart" there is never a deficit.
After 34 years and 7 anniversaries SWMBO always wins with a smile. And then she let's me have my way.

Mostly the bike is steal framed and as pictured weighs 23 lbs.View attachment 563206

Hopefully that was a typo!

Call and complain!!
I've posted several times on TBN about the "toss and forget" delivery method. What is even worse is the "left in the mailroom" and "gave to the secretary" when I have neither.
