If the vessel has twin screws, they probably reverse one to make the bend...another possibility bow and stern thrusters...bow thrusters are normally used when docking, but a with combination of bow and stern thrusters, the vessel could easily make that turn.
That's good to know. I'm more familiar with the lower Chesapeake Bay and Norfolk harbor...they don't even let the ships come into the Chesapeake Bay without a Harbor Pilot, and then tugboats when they get into the harbor area...too many tunnel islands, bridges, shoals, and other craft.
