Ron, did we get both front FEL cylinders resealed or just one. I think I took one in with you and one by myself, I should write these things down. Any way I'm pretty sure after these two get resealed then they all have been resealed.
One was done while I was there. You got the other one done a week or 2 later.

Does anyone know why they are still pushing the Flu vaccine if it is not for the strain of flu that is going around? We both had the shot and both got the flu.

There are several strains out there...it works on some...10% to 50% depending on who you read/believe. We both got shots and so far no problems.

You know it's in your area when schools start closing.

Yep. A child died from it nearby.
The shot was free, so I'll take odds of 10 to 50 percent.

-14 and going to a high of 10. Wind W 3 mph. tonite, 0 F and 60% chance of flurries. Not a 'bad' day anyway.

Nice job on the stump hole!

I change my oil once a year. But keep in mind that in 2017 I only did 8400 kilometers (approx. 5,000 miles) in the Jeep. When I got the pan done we changed the oil and filter.

The Kioti will get done in the spring. The dealer is going to change the filters on the HST and hydraulics when he installs the BH.

I got the snow cleaned up yesterday.

Today, I am not doing anything, but I will go out and check both game cameras and see what visited us overnight.

Stay safe all

Granddaughter seems to have gotten over the flu; daughter was admitted to the hospital last night. So we'll see what happens.

I've forgotten what the NWS forecast was, but at 6 a.m., they show our temperature to be 20 which sure surprised me.

My wife was a communicable disease specialist, here is what she said, There are always multiple strains, the vaccine covers the 8-10 most likely to go around as predicted 8-9 months ahead. Even at best it is 70% or so effective, at worst 10-20%. But even if you get a strain not well covered it will usually lessen the effects. But the main thing is it helps break the chain of communication. So in a bad year, if 40 million people get the disease, without widespread vaccination the number would be twice that or more. So every year some people are going to catch flu even with the shot, got me last year. But without the vaccine being widely used, with modern transportation and close working and living quarters, there would be an epidemic every year and a pandemic every 5-10 years.

I hope your daughter has a quick recovery, I spent 3 days in the hospital last year and 5 weeks getting back to normal sleep and breathing patterns.

5°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 30° today, and expecting a little snow this afternoon. More substantial accumulation expected here tomorrow evening. We got a light dusting yesterday, in spite of the fact that at one point it was snowing sideways and so thick we couldn't see the road 200' away.

The frost on the car windshield this morning was so dense I couldn't get it scraped off with even the long handled scraper. Just turned up the blower on the defroster and went back inside for awhile. Too cold out to fight with it.

Don put in so much work on that stump that even I was tired from it. Nice work, Don.

I'm surprised how frequently oil and filter changes are needed in cars that live on the other side of the pond and wonder if much of it is to do with market expectations? Nowadays many people here would think a gas vehicle that couldn't manage to wait for a year or at least 10,000 miles before needing a service had an inferior engine. I doubt the engines are very different, the manufacturers are probably giving us all what they think we want.

When manufacturers started including oil changes in their 3 year/36,000 mile warranties, the frequency of those changes stretched W-A-Y out. Intervals that were in the 5,000 - 7,000 range went double and even triple that. That was all that was necessary to make the car last past the expiration of the warranty/lease. But that meant those purchasing used who intended the keep a vehicle well past the 100,000 mile mark had a much smaller pool of vehicles to choose from, as far fewer owners insisted on sticking with the old change intervals that would reduce the high wear and sludge accumulation resulting from extend oil and filter change intervals.:2cents:

17 this morning and headed to 38 today. Very light dusting overnight.

Dentist this afternoon and run some errands. Have some maintenance to do this morning in chicken coops. Mostly spray foam air leaks. Was washing equipment yesterday when temperatures dropped. Winterized washer as it was starting to freeze up. Had one nozzle almost ice over.

Drew. Sorry no photos of chickens. It’s in contract. No photos or videos. They’re afraid of bad press, so they’d rather have no press. But I’d sure take that pay raise. Let’s see $0.20 would be ~400% raise.

Kyle. Quarantine. It’s what wife did to me when I was sick.

Randy, I'm sure there will always be those who do not want to be vaccinated, and some who will say it's just the companies who want to get rich, etc., etc. But I, too, believe what you just posted. So my wife and I will continue to get the shots, as we have done for many years.

RoyJackson Seems like the prediction for Wednesday is alternating from 5-8 inches to 8-12 inches....I reckon we'll see what we end up with on Wednesday/Thursday. Looks like February is going to be a snowy month![/QUOTE said:
