A update on the weather....10-15cm, roughly 6" max BUT the last forecast was for 1-3cm and we got 16". One of you mathematicians can probably figure it out that IF it goes like the last storm we could possibly get 5'. lol

Good evening all. 34F this morning, clear, calm wind. Wind was moderate through most of the day, sky clear, and high temp of 72F. Went to Chapel this morning, watched some DVR-ed shows and naped for the rest of the day.

I picked up the Ryobi One+ palm router. Seems quite similar to the Rigid. I already have a number of One+ tools so have batteries etc. haven稚 tried it yet, but suspect it as described. I have an older (15+ yo) HF plunge router that has served me well, but it sure is heavy and the torque will actually twist it when I turn on.

A friend of mine has router hinge guides he is willing to lend me either today or tomorrow.

David, a man of your talents can easily make a hinge guide from a few scraps of wood. Borrowing an adjustable one from a friend is even easier

32° and dark.

Over in the seat time thread, it looks like drew just parked his tractor.

I hope to get some more shuteye...

Good morning. -4.5C/24F and two wood burners fired up as it's set to get colder.

Wng, yes we are keeping count of the sleeps to Christmas, 14 to go. This year I fear that for the eldest grandson it will also be a countdown to tears. He has been telling everyone for months that Santa is bringing him an expensive games consul, even though his mum has told him repeatedly that she doubts very much that will happen.

Snow 1.jpg

We have about 8" of snow. That's more than enough in this county to close the schools.

You have to admire any plant that decides to flower this time of year. No Texas roses here, the gorse is our nearest substitute.

Yeah, our boxers have played rough, but never did anyone get hurt, at least not vet trip hurt!

We have thought about Costco dog food, but our Sydney is 9 and doing very well on Orijen dog food. Sometimes she gets a little treat, but not often.

We've been feeding Orijen, too (5 fish). But they cut off Chewy's from being a distributor a few months ago. We stocked up but Chewy's offered some 50% off deals to get folks to try something different. I bought a bad of Merrick's salmon, sweet potato, peas etc. Our dog loves it and it costs 40% less (plus the 50% off). It's funny, when you read the ingredients, it sounds like a gourmet meal that we would like. All are grain-free, since Coco doesn't do well on grain. So, still not sure whether to keep buying Orijen and find a new distributor, or to go to Costco's, or keep trying Merrick. Where do you buy your Orijen?

And I agree about boxers playing rough. When my son got one and brought it here for the first time, I was amazed how even as a puppy, it would jump up and swing its paws at my dog, like a boxer in a prize fight...and dish out some tough wrestling moves.

29 going to 46.

Still plenty of snow left. Hiked about 3 miles yesterday to get some more tracking in before the melting clumps falling off the trees obliterated the tracks.

Eric, pretty flowers and snowy scene. That reminded me that when I was cutting our Christmas tree, the forsythia bushes up by the road were blooming. They don't normally bloom until march.

Good morning.

11 right now and going down to 10 for a high today. Wind N 7 mph.

That Alberta clipper that is coming was in Winnipeg, MB at midnight. The weather warning is still up so maybe we will get it, maybe we wont.

Eric, I can see 8" closing schools, but 3"? Here the schools are open and if the buses are cancelled, kids that are bused don't have to show up. If the kid normally walks to school then he/she is expected to be there.

Have a safe day, all.
