Sunny and warm here this morning but the rain will come this afternoon. This will affect my ability to work on my front door.
The parts for my tractor bevel gear case has come it. Unfortunately the tractor is outdoor so working on it in the rain doesn't seem right. I hope to get my tractor back to working shape soon. The grass is very high and the skeeters are thick now.

Roy, I hope your appointment will have results to your liking.
Daugen, have fun.
Have a great day all.

Good morning! Whipper and a coyote had a stand off last night and after an hour of barking I finally went outside and chased the coyote away and Whipper thought she did good. I never saw the coyote but the way Whipper barks and moves gives a good indication of what wild life is coming into the yard. She got to chase a drove of 50 piglets yesterday but came up empty, sometimes too many to choose from and you get none.

The rain never came yesterday this morning there is a intermittent light rain. I finished the permitter trail from the front gate along the East and North fence line to the back TBN bridge. This trail now connects to the trail Ron and I cleared making a total of about 2 miles through the woods. I noticed the spring growth starting and it already needs maintenance.

Our VFD has a new 4wd dually pickup to fight brush fires with. We bought it with our fish fry money. We still need to weld a platform on the back to squirt water off. We retired a 1980 pickup which my Cousin's kid bought by having the highest bid.

I need to check the route for the antenna wire and go a head and order everything so Mom and Dad can get the HD stations from Austin.

Made Another dewberry pies yesterday - working on perfecting the recipe. I added applesauce along with the dates, banana, and whole wheat flour to soften the edge crust to my liking. I made it with no sugar and it tasted a bit too tart so I think the minimum amount of sugar would be one tablespoon. I have enough berries to make about 10 more pies so by the end of the month I should have the perfect pie.

Still looking to get bored but can't find the time.

Ron when you say patio day. what exactly do you do? Knowing you you don't just stare at the grass growing, their must be some interesting to watch from your patio.

Is Weber BBQs connected to the Weber that made carburetors for high performance cars ?
Weber retro fit kits used to be the fastest way for wannabee rally drivers to improve performance - and double insurance premiums.

No connection I know of, Eric, but when the throttle shafts were found to have worn oblong holes in the bodies of the Solex carbs of a long ago Porche 912, a pair of Webers proved an excellent solution.

Good Morning! 49F @ 6:15AM. Periods of rain. High 53F. Winds SE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 80%. Rainfall near a quarter of an inch.

Just started raining a few minutes ago, but a little before that a light tapping was heard coming from somewhere on the front of the house. Too early and chilly in the house to get out of bed and find out what it was, but hopefully it'll give up and not come back. It wasn't as loud as the mice in the range hood, so I think I can cross that off the list to check if it does return.

Under strong light the instrument housing was still dirty, so more time yesterday was spent with q-tips, toothbrushes, and very hot soapy water. Followed that up with some Wipe New, and it's a lot better though a long way from looking new. For some reason the mechanic had the tach out of it which I need to start the film wiring replacement, so I'll pick that up today. Also have a trip to the DMV to get the title switched over into my name, and I'm hoping this rain will help shorten the line.

If Whipper is like my neighbor's Catahoulas, those coyotes don't stand a chance. My neighbor's 3 catahoulas have killed many coyotes. The yotes now stay away from our area. I used to see them creeping all the way up to my back yard. Now I can only hear them from far away every now and then.

Sit back and enjoy the warmth. Read a book. Make notes of what I plan to do when I get home. I still do a daily walk (little over a mile) around park and take muffin to dog park 3 times a day.
No grass to look at. Just crushed red rock.

There use to be a Weber kit for the old Jeep/AMC 258 6 cyl, guys used them a lot to replace those piss poor smog carbs on the 80's Jeeps, including my son.
Going to about 81 today they say, before cooling a bit as the week goes on.
I'm going to install my new flagpole and flag in the stand I installed yesterday, and watch Old Glory wave in the breeze!

68°F and .08 inches rain last 24 hours. Looks to be at least a morning shower out over the Pacific.

My test internet system seems to be functioning fine on my iPhone sim as I await arrival of the real data sim.

Safe travels Drew.

Don, you sure make some tasty looking stuff.

Be safe.

Have a great day

78 degrees in Wilmington NC. The IntraCoastal cuts across the Cape Fear River here and the River is very wide in spots. I went though here on the way down to Ft Lauderdale, on the way home I went outside and came in at Beaufort. My friends live in Leland, on other side of the river. They will be picking me up tomorrow morning and then we will see the sights.

Outdoor swimming pool open here and lots of kids having fun. RV campground is packed, I guess with holiday weekend coming up.
