I was picturing 20 miles on 40mph back roads, nope pulling will not work.

This followed me home tonight. Now to figure out how to get it to the farm, about 6" wider than the fenders on my trailer.

Is it practical to put it on the trailer sideways and remove the tongue?

Good evening all. 68F at the start this morning, cloudy and wind slowing down. Currently it is 66F so todays low will be near midnight. High for the day was 72F rain during late morning and early afternoon, .1 in in rain gauge. Choir practice, started bike ride, got chased in after 13 miles. Afternoon got away from me but did get over to stepdaughter's house to "supervise" install of her storm shelter. Going to Kerrville Thursday for 3 day ride.

Lots of straight vapor trails this morning, thanks to the wind taking longer than yesterday to start blowing and remind us it's only chilly springtime.

The cold won't deter the first trees from greening up. The earliest of the oaks are just breaking out of bud, while some hawthorn and young hazel are rushing headlong into full leaf. No such signs of movement from the ash, they seem content to stay in winter mode for a while longer.

Found the pan under the BBQ burners rusted through in several spots, surprising since the thing was supposed to be all stainless steel. Guess it wasn't such a good deal after all. Blue Flame brand in case anybody's listening. Maybe it's time to step up to a Weber?

Is Weber BBQs connected to the Weber that made carburetors for high performance cars ?
Weber retro fit kits used to be the fastest way for wannabee rally drivers to improve performance - and double insurance premiums.

60 outside this AM. Nice moon overhead. Hardware store run on tap for minor stuff. Need to finish up the lawn. Started looking at the pool yesterday. Opening in a few weeks. Yippie.

56 here this morning going to 80 or so. Started raking up some of the winter mess yesterday. Used muscles I haven't used in a while. Will do a little more after work. Going for hearing test to get prescription for hearing aid later today.

34F now mid 70's for high.
Birds are bouncing on the open areas of lawn and field while melting snow brings life to brooks/streams,hope by this coming weekend able to start spring clean up.

After work dropping pickup off to have snow tires remove...no more winter.

Just like mpham, 56 going to 80. Looks like fairly clear weather this week with some possible showers on Wed.
Having my first cup of coffee, packing last of little stuff into rv, double checking all my electronics, always take my Verizon MiFi
since campground wifi rarely works. And if it does work at all, around dinner time it slows so much to be unusable Free is free...

Have a few plants to water around the house, then I'm off around 10am. Nice not to have to rush and this is a very short trip, less than three hours.
The main North South road that goes through Washington goes right past the rv campground on Market Street in Wilmington. I think it must be an old Post road, or some colonial
equivalent. So I get on Route 17 downtown and just head South. Road goes through New Bern and then down along the ocean with all the ocean towns and resorts lined up one after another.
I will probably be following another rv like mine doing the speed limit in the right lane, this is definitely a smell the roses ride. Actually some spots are close enough to the beach that one can smell the ocean a little going by. I remember doing this in my motorhome, stayed at the same campground too. I have found KOA's to be reliably nice if not somewhat predictable.
55 feet isn't too long...until someone creeps up way past the stop line in an intersection and one has no way to make the turn since most rv's have to swing pretty far out like an big truck.
And then of course the person behind said creeper has put their bumper one foot behind the creeper's bumper, and there's no backing up. About then some impatient soul hits their horn.
Do not be a creeper...:thumbdown:

54 high of 80 pollen is really bad and my eyes and nose agree. Worked on Street yesterday today driveway
