just wrote another epistle, this time to the County Commissioners complaining about potential fraud and bad doings in the tax assessor's office.
They are intentionally inflating appraised values and I caught them. Amounts to only a few dollars on one acre in question, which just by listening to me complain they have lost money on. But they aren't that smart...
Hope I have stirred up a hornet's nest vs getting ignored. Dishonest bureaucrats whose salary my taxes pay for.

Interesting, just got a call from a County Commissioner who said I was absolutely right to complain, the assessors were patronage jobs, they didn't know what they were doing, and I should stay in the game. Most interesting...

Careful, they'll declare imminent domain, pave paradise and put up a parking lot! :D

What price would you put on this blade?View attachment 497439View attachment 497440View attachment 497441
It's a 7 foot blade, 6 way - with manual tilt, angle, and offset.
Stand included.

Don, if you have the ability to hook this blade up on 3-point do so and make sure that blade can tilt, angle and offset manually. It looks like it's not made to add hydraulic cylinders without lots of fab work.

If it hasn't been maintained some or all three axis of motion might be froze up. If it just rust, it can be disassembled and fixed after about $150 purchase. If king pin is bent ..... Lo Siento Mucho!

If everything moves easily, with blade lifted, offer $250 and settle for $300.

I speak from experience as I bought a 8' Rhino blade, in early 1990's, for $100 and couldn't rotate blade even pushing end against a very big tree.

Good Luck!

Good evening all. 37F for the low this morning, calm wind and thick overcast. Overcast started breaking up early afternoon, wind became moderate from the north and temp made it to 52F. With no computer to work on, cleaned up desk, worked on wood pile, went for bike ride, came to agreement on new bike price, need to put deposit down and pick tires, seat, fenders, back rack. Stepdaughter helped with a furniture rearrange project, which took about an hour and delayed supper

I just took it off my tractor yesterday everything works. I use it about once a year.

Thanks. Do you series them?

Yes, I'll do 12 runs, 3 in series, to support 48vdc system. 4 would exceed the 150vdc max of the charge controllers. I'll have 12 panels, 3360w per CC, my 4th cc will be my existing 4kw array.

My Canadian friend, Dave, and I pretty much planned out a build in place approach. Tomorrow, I'll be busy predrilling 2x2 aluminum angle for support frames. Hope to get installed Monday, but wx report is sounding less than optimistic with strong winds and rain.

I've been off work for a week and usually don't get on here much at home. Many pages back I mentioned getting a new sled. First trip out was great. It far outperforms my old sled (2012)
In SLC it is raining a little with more rain/snow mix until Wednesday. Temps are mild with it being 48 right now at 11 pm.

amazing picture Cat Fever, you should get it enlarged and framed. That sure looks like fun.

up for a dunk in the hot tub, legs bothering me again, thankfully it works great. Pretty quiet out now, stars are out, didn't even turn on the water jets, just lay in 103 degree water in peace and quiet. 20 minutes at 103f and cooked to perfection.

Rain finished in the night and the clearing sky let it all freeze over. No grandson this weekend, so I can take my time and give the sun chance to warm things up a little before going out again, it's way too easy to slip and fall on the almost invisible ice out back.

Our driveway has been taking a real pounding from all the heavy trucks making the track for the railway embankment work. They have graded the old base ready for new stone and keeping reasonable access by making a pass over a couple of times a day with a dozer and substantial vibrating roller that makes our whole house shake. Unfortunately this has caused a spring to break out from the side of the slope and water is now constantly running down the track. Unless they can find an obvious cause, like a broken or blocked field drain close by, it will need a french drain to take the water back into my field.

Mostly, new bike coming ! :dance1: . What type of frame tubing did you decide on ?

Great picture cat fever. Do you need an FAA pilot's license to ride like that ?

Thanks Eric,
I don't jump like I used to. At 54 it takes longer to heal.
Plus it's a brand new sled and I need to get use'd to the balance of it.

Cat fever that is a wow pic! I don't see a ramp. How did you get airborne going uphill? That sled has power! I bet it make you feel young again . . . .

17 going to 42.

Was in southeast Virginia yesterday...had some snow showers. When I first started hunting this farm 40 years ago there was a decrepit old tree stand nailed up into a maple tree. Many of the boards were still intact, since they were oak. I named it the Antique stand and rebuilt it. Well, the maple finally came down from a hurricane and I cut up as much as possible for firewood yesterday (avoiding the nails). It had already started to rot, so probably would have left it except for the nostalgic value.

Cat, great photo. I've never been on a "sled" so how do you catch air going uphill? Was there a jump out of the frame?

More firewood cutting today while the ground is frozen and before the 2 day rains come Monday night.

Good morning! 2 above right now and going for a high of 23 with flurries in the forecast.

I gotta take as quick trip to town today, then back to widen the driveway. That is the only problem with plowing over blowing as far as I can see.

22 out this AM. With a clear morning sky looks to be a day for a road trip.

Need to make a dump run and get rid of a pickup truck worth of paint, and find some time to go into the woods and collect the firewood I cut last week.

Have a great day all, enjoy the weekend. Be safe.

Good morning! 49˚ only heading to 56˚ cloudy 20% chance of rain, a dismal day.

I have to re-do a water control berm on the driveway. My wife said she feel like she is going airborne like Cat fever when she goes over the newly raised berm.

Drew thanks for the link to the new drag blades. I was calling it a 3-way blade but it's actually called a 6-way. I'll put out the word around town and see if anyone is interested before advertising. This old Iron is very heavy - they don't make them like this anymore so I'm hoping someone will see the value and snatch it up for $700.:D That gives me room for a friends, family and TBN discount.

much colder 29 out, going up to 44 today, then a warming trend. But for today, going to pass on working outside, maybe go out in the sun after lunch. Need to run a few errands, then a quiet day today.

Need to get coffee brewing. 50° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 74° with sunny skies. Oldest son is in town for the weekend. Will find something to do with him.
Cat, great picture. Back when I played with snowmobiles. The only thing made out of aluminum was the frame and engine.
Don, hard to believe that a working HD 7' blade is only worth $100.
Good Morning All.
