Good afternoon all. 44F this morning, windy and overcast skies. Sky stayed overcast wind backed off late afternoon, and temp stayed flat. High temp was at 12:01 AM (49F) and low will be at 11:59PM . Spent most of the day working on a computer that got hosed during update, had to do factory restore, factory image was old! It was stepdaughter's computer she is trying it out tonight. Did finish yesterday's ride today, weather was no where near as nice .

Poured first cup of coffee. 50ｰ with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 72ｰ with some scattered clouds. Going out to the gun range today. Then back to the patio.
Wanted to use the ｰ with my iPad. Much easier than PC. All I had to do was hold 0 key down and up pops the ｰ.
Weather back in MI is not good. Grand daughters dog did not want to go out in it. Kept looking out window to check it out.

Don, getting somethings to work right with some insurance companies is a problem. My over 3 hours on the phone trying to get a document from BCBS is very upsetting. All these people do is read from a computer screen.

The existing roof won't be touching it, it will be on top of a lattice work of 1x4's Even the valleys will have 1x4's in them.. The weight of a 26 gage R panel roof is so little, it is not a factor.


Here is the order of it from top to bottom:

R panel metal
1x4
synthetic underlayment
old roof

So the metal will not touching the underlayment? Why is the underlayment needed? Where does the air come in to circulate under the metal?
You can tell I'm not a roof guy.

From the bottom edge. Some ridge top systems can be vented with passing air using venturi.

I only want the underlayment as more insurance due to the poor quality of the existing roof.

Disassembled 2 more sections of current solar array. Power washed all the components. Will reuse the frame members, put the old panels on CL.

Good morning all!

Temp 12 going for a high of 14 by midday. No snow in the immediate forecast, but that doesn't mean anything, either. The wizards that guess the weather are seldom right.

Our 12 turned into -6 at 8:45 A.M. that'll 'fix' the bugs. I hope.
