Today's bounty. A Miller welder/generator given to me by a friend. It needs some love.

A 3 phase chiller for the cryo cold generator. And the dewer for the cold head.

RNG, I will be selling this cryo system. I don't need LN usually, and it requires 3 phase.

I am loaded up with projects.

Talk about cool. F22 Raptors, 4 of them buzzing over the Bryan College Station area this afternoon. My guess is they will do a flyover at the Texas A&M/ucla game tomorrow during the national anthem. I would bet a nickel the only Aggies not standing will be those that can't.

Emilio's (spelling) is a great place to eat if you like Italian food and not to expensive

Just got this and it is 6:30 pm and we are home but it sounds like a place we would like and we will keep it in mind. Thanks.

Wngsprd, I actually helped reline a chimney for them about 25 years ago, But have never been to the Show. They came to us and asked "Does this look like a heart?" and showed us a wax heart that looked real to me and I have seen many animal hearts.

Thanks for the tips. We ate breakfast at Cracker barrel and went shopping and ate lunch at Country Cooking and shopped a little more and went home. Not a big fancy date but to us, we didn't get out together for about 4 years, it was wonderful. Ed

Don, I wonder about if it can help your brains arteries or if you could get an aneurysm while being treated?

". . . .but the reality is that available chelators cannot work in the brain. The protective "blood-brain barrier" will allow only the smallest of particles to leave the bloodstream and enter brain tissue. Currently-available chelating drugs circulate in the bloodstream but they are unable to cross the blood-brain barrier, making them useless for decreasing the amount of metals in the brain. "

Chelation: Therapy or "Therapy"?

"Some people give chelation "therapy" for other conditions such as cardiovascular disease, autism, and Alzheimer's. This exposes patients to risks without benefit. A large study of chelation therapy for cardiovascular disease leads some researchers to suggest further study."

"In 2008, the Cochrane Collaborative concluded that available evidence was insufficient to determine whether or not chelation therapy is effective for atherosclerosis. The authors noted the need for randomized clinical trials. [23] A subset of patients in the TACT trial who had diabetes, who had had a heart attack, and who were treated with chelation had fewer subsequent cardiac effects. However, there is not enough evidence to recommend chelation for all diabetic patients who have an MI. [24]
In 2008, the NIH chelation trial stopped enrolling patients, approximately two years early; there were allegations that the consent forms were improper. Data analysis of the patients who were treated was continued, with the first results to be announced in 2012.[25] The trial determined that IV chelation with disodium EDTA slightly reduced the risk of "adverse cardiovascular outcomes" and that the results could guide further research but do not support the routine use of chelation for patients who had a myocardial infarction. [26]

This is a good article at this wed site."

Kyle, why is he not trying to get his Dad on a low fat plant based diet instead of going after unproven chelation therapy? He should talk to the cardiologist at Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston who are doing the Century Study to see their preliminary results. I'll be heading there in a few weeks for my 4th year evaluation and test.

Ed, good you had a day out together. Haven't been to country cooking in years.

Good morning, we have some heavy rain coming for the rest of the day (well, not that heavy compared to what some of you get. Little chance of turtles getting washed away around here) and I have lots of little things that need doing in the dry, before it arrives. Oh no, sun just disappeared behind a very dark cloud as I wrote that last line ! gota go.

it's still dark out but 3.80 inches last night, still raining now lightly but the system is heading out.
Most of the time yesterday it was just a steady rain, not damaging. But with almost six inches of rain so far and
maybe another this morning, it's going to be a bit mushy out there. and I'm sure a lot of raking.
but otherwise, all good news, and thanks for positive thoughts.
I may be less cheery when the sun comes up and I can see the mess in the front of my property.

spent about four hours going through old boxes in the attic and sorting things, still from moving in, but got a lot done on a rainy day,
cranked up Pandora and listened to some tunes, and wound up with six trash bags of throw out stuff.
All good, we all know we need to throw out life's collections of dubious value. Or sell it at a yard sale. I still have another dozen moving boxes to go through.
I figure if I haven't needed anything in there in the last two years, I probably don't need it...like the box of winter hats and scarves I found. Need to save a few, give the rest away to charity.

resolved my travel trailer carport yesterday, going with a 12x12x41 metal carport, red and white to match barn, with three foot sides/metal on the side panels. I picked the strongest style, but not the super heavy duty uprights. Where this will be is pretty sheltered, in the lee of the woods and barn mostly. $3500 installed. I thought that offered good value. the extra ten feet of length will house a second tractor or someday, for someone else, they'll have room for a motorhome. Very common in this area to have these large carports in the rear of the property, most houses have them out front. I call them Carolina garages...

I was planning on having a Labor Day picnic here, today, and glad I didn't. Cars would have ruined the lawn. Monday should be nice for everyone though and all next week looks warm and dry.

rswyan; [I said:
Having a hard time keeping up with this thread.
I think we all do if we go away for a day or two.

Re-powered the log splitter yesterday with 6.5 hp Predator engine from Harbor Freight. Fitted up no problem, seems to work good ... and is much quieter than the Briggs it replaced ... and it doesn't leak oil.
[/I]
good friend of mine has repowered a tiller and a snowblower with these engines, and utterly loves them. Prior to that he was buying Lifans, a top engine brand in this market. The Predator engines are very smooth. And for 99 bucks on super sale, such a deal.

God morning all. 58 here this morning going to 75,with no rain and a little wind. Gusts as high as 25 mph. Need to mow today and run to the grocery store. Likely find a few more things to do before it is over with.

Drew Glad to see you this morning, hope your yard and everything else is fine.

Toppop Be careful today, He is coming your way. Prayers sent.

Everyone have a great day Ed

Ed you are always so positive and uplifting. You can bring your coffee cup over and sit at my table any time.
And bring a friend.
Picture a diner with a big long table in it. Could your special friend sit with a group of guys
and enjoy that?
I don't want to be one of those people who scowls at others when they see odd behavior.
Understanding helps with compassion.
And we could sure use some more compassion in this world.
And a second cup of coffee, maybe switch to decaf if top gear isn't desired...

Good Morning,

Why do I wake up at 4am on my days off work but want to sleep in when I know the alarm is going to ring?

Kevin

Drinking second cup of coffee. 55° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 76° with lots of sun. Going to be great weather for a holiday weekend. Going to be spending lots of time on porch enjoying the cooler temperatures. No real plans for today. But I am sure something will show up.
Ed, date day is a good thing. Going to do one of those with my wife tomorrow.
Drew, good pick on the carport.
Good Morning All.

Well, that serves me right for believing the weather forecast. I thought I would have a few more hours to get things done in the dry, but turned out not to be, so I've just got a fair soaking getting everything under cover. Worst of all is that my wife says the rain coming early now gives me even more time to finish painting inside.

Kyle, I did try again for a swan pic this morning. Still a little shy and not quite ready to pose for the camera.

48 right now...feels great! Bit foggy too, but not too thick. A pleasant 76 today.
Plans are (and subject to change) dump run this morning...mow the lawn when it dries up...mow the field. Maybe some target shooting later. I've also got a report to write for work...
And, of course, beer to drink! Wife and Stepdaughter are going to do a cook out this afternoon sometime...looking forward to a good charcoal grilled steak!

Added...no dump run...almost forgot, the dump is closed for the Labor Day weekend.

66 going to 78, and maybe another shower or two.

Opening day of dove season...high noon...war zone.

Getting the edge of the hurricane remnant here, a little wind, crazy clouds and a brief shower last night. Glad to have the shower since I tilled and planted and fertilized 3 food plots yesterday...these were the small plots, so all total less than an acre. Decided to plant by hand spreader rather than the 3 pt spreader, which I used for fertilizer. It allowed better control of the seeds, saving money, and gave me some good exercise...plus I love walking freshly tilled earth. Found some interesting rocks, but no arrow heads, war relics, or gold. :(

Ed, interesting to hear you worked on the chimney there...glad you had a nice day out.

Drew, which manufacturer are you going with? I have been toying with the idea of a metal barn...looked at some by Carolina Carports and Eagle and one other I can't recall.

Good morning! 73˚ heading to the nineties, partly cloudy, slight chance of rain. If this sound familiar it's the same as the last two weeks.

I got 4 hours of mowing done at Dad's but at another week of mowing weeds is still ahead.

Kyle, Your blood and vessels are absolutely affected by what you eat. I was thinking of that chelation therapy and wondering why put all that stuff in your blood in the first place and then try to bind it out with 30 treatments. Are there still people in the world, that have heart disease that think can eat like they alway have and the disease not continue?

As the cardiologist in the Century Study say: "We have know for 20 years that heart disease can be stopped by diet." The study is focused on how to get people to change their diet.
