Great, we are going on a shared vacation with David. We will miss out on the taste, sounds, smells, temps, humidity and interaction between different people so be very descriptive in your morning report David and send pics. Oh no, I think I just turned David's vacation into a job.:drink:

A virtual vacation :dance1:
If that's expecting a little too much David, it's ok by me if you want to skip the descriptive bit while tasting sauerkraut ;)

56 right now...83 and maybe a thunderstorm today.
Went home feeling poorly yesterday...drank a beer, took some Theraflu and out cold for about 12 hours straight. Theraflu always does the trick for me, and I feel considerably better this morning.

Good morning, it's looking like perfect weather today (yippee) - for more inside decorating (groan). I used some special paint to stop salts coming through on the problem wall, only to find another section that I hadn't realised before had the same issue until the first coat of normal paint went on. Never mind, at least this room is looking a little better than when we first started the barn to house conversion, although downside is I now have to go outside to see the stars at night.

Wngsprd, please keep that premature autumn over your side of the pond, our summer is still struggling to get started properly.

300UGY, better luck with the slow books today.

Ed, have you found time to try out your new welder yet, or have you been too busy buying things to fill your new toy cupboard ? It must be great fun to have a plasma, I could happily spend all day cutting things into two and then welding them back up again.

Roy, pleased your "TheraFlu" has worked, it's not something I have come across over here. Maybe marketing thought some English people would read the label as Terror Flu

75 this morning and headed to 93 today.

Chickens have a sitter. So we're off to Nashville, Tennessee. Wish I was going for other reasons, very interesting city. We've walked music row before, and gone through some museums, taken a bicycle taxi(ok I'm from a very small town, not even a car taxi in the county), but today we get to spend at the hospital. Now the joys of finding it.

Have a good 'en.

64 going up to 89 today. So long, low humidity.

Eric, I understand why you wanted a cab tractor since you have a sunroof in your house. :)

300, good to have you back.

Did some erosion restoration with my tractor and rake yesterday - took 2 hours. Pulled uphill some runoff dirt and sand that occurred after a huge downpour hit right after I tilled an area. Then smoothed it off. I think it was a good job...until it rains again. :( I'll try to plant it in the next few days, but no rain in the forecast. I have two more smaller areas to do. After I got that done, the grass was as dry as it was going to get, so mowed for 3 hours and got most of it done.

:thumbsup::thumbsup: from all of us

Roy, what brand of therapeutic beer was that? Forget the pills, it had to be the beer...;)

66 going to high 80's today, a little warmer.
Tile man coming this morning to fix kitchen floor grout that came apart in one area after two years, plus he is using up some leftover tile from other projects to put in a small backsplash over the sink in the half bath. I waited almost three months for this guy and he sure got an earful from me about not returning calls. I had to call the contractor and it took him threatening to cut the guy off from more work to get this done. A good craftsman but a poor businessman. Happens a lot.

Then off to dermatologist to look at something on my leg; worried about another melanoma, my third. Needless to say, I need to stay right on top of this.
Maybe I'll get lucky and he'll tell me it's poison oak or something like that, which also makes a scabby appearance. When it didn't go away after two months, time to see a doc.

And lastly off to dinner with friends tonight. So, it's a keep clean day. Nowhere near as much fun as getting dirty.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 70° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 82° with showers and thunderstorms. Got .15" rain yesterday. Handgun orientation class was good. But found out that when inside a gun range. Even with ear protection. My right ear that I have been getting test on. Does not like it. Need to cancel CPL class until I get another plan. Maybe a class where firing is done outside. Going to be a inside day. Good day to complete desk project.
Eric, I forgot about you converting a into a house. My dad did that in the early 40's. Need to find some pictures. Lived there until the mid 60's.
Roy, glad you are better today.
Framer, hope all goes well at hospital with your son.
Ed, my wife thinks a 20X20 shop that has over flowed in garage. Plus a 30X40 pole barn and a 20X40 pole barn full of STUFF is enough for any one guy. But she is very forgiving. :D
007, you are getting answers now that you have 5 post.
Irv, Welcome back. Amazon books works very well. The more I deal with add-on's from Apple. I get happier with Amazon. Of course I only have iPhone's. Everything else is PC.
Good Morning All.

Good morning, looks like a tornado touch down in the Windsor area last night around 7pm, just south of Detroit. 12 homes damaged and 3 people hurt, no warning, and very rare to have tornados in our area.

Good morning all!
Eric, what's the difference between a hole in the roof and leaving the bedroom window open in a driving rainstorm. Just go to bed with a slicker suit on and wear sunglasses when needed. Solved.

Roy, beer and Theraflu??? I like a Shiner Bock ice cream float...

Farmer, hope mostly that they can figure out and diagnose, so that as parents, you can study up on the how's and whys.

Seabee, some tractors offer vertical kits.

Busy at work.

Today is my wife's and my 15th anniversary. We celebrate tomorrow.

high 40s early, 60 now, headed to mid 70s or higher. With the winds shifted, we are not getting the smoke here at the house, but don't have to go far in 3 directions to find some.

Youngest daughter (almost 25 now) hated camping when growing up (she remembers getting rained on, not the times of perfect weather). When we got our first travel trailer, she did not want to sleep on sofa or dinette beds, so she was in a tent that she hated. Now she is older, has a daughter of her own and wants to go with us in our newer trailer. She has been sleeping on the sofa airbed (sofa folds out and there is airbed for it) with her daughter. She has to put it all away during day so we have room in the trailer. I told my wife, too bad she hates tents, they would have a blast with their own tent... Later that day, daughter says she is looking at tents, ended up with a nice one, we'll try it out this weekend for a trip over labor day. We helped out and bought a couple of twin airbeds (granddaughter is 2 1/2). Looks like it might work out great.

These are the kinds of stories that I really love to read. Happy Camping!

Thanks for all the congrats and we'll wishes. B7510, congrats on y'all's 41st.

Farmer, pray that your son's day goes well.

Still very busy at work. We are losing square footage and I'm hauling some great stuff home. Gonna be eBay and Craigslist deals galore. Might get me a nice shop Smitty with mill and drill attachments out of the deal. Already got the big discombobulator. IMG_20160824_193708302.jpg
