Buppies, Wngsprd, Sodamo, That is just what you do when family needs you. We are truly blessed and we are glad to be able to do it. He might be 8 years younger than me but he is my boy. Again we are blessed.

Kile, prayers sent for you, mama and Finnly. Things like that can be very hard.

He is 48 and it was the first time in his life that he went swimming. That made it a GREAT day.

Ed when I was sixteen my mother took a few kids to the NJ shore, including a high school friend of mine, a local farm boy who had never seen the ocean.
Not only was he amazed just looking at it, but he was a really big strong guy, and his favorite thing was to have a wave just crash into his chest, feel the power of the water, knock him backwards time and again. A time of discovery and sheer delight; and you enabled that for this autistic man.
Every day is an opportunity for kindness...

If I lived in Kansas I think seeing the ocean would be seriously cool.

Smoke from the wildfires is building in our area, have to stay indoors now until it clears. Hoping and praying that they get the fires out quickly and no new ones. We have a family reunion over labor day weekend, get to have all the kids and spouses and grand kids together for a few days if it all works out. The campground is dry (no hookups), but that is what you get on short notice and make plans late (first come, first serve is all that is available, we'll likely go out on Wednesday to get our spots. It will be fun for sure. It was hot and windy 2 years ago, but everyone enjoyed it..

Took my oldest back to college last week, another 2k miles to arkansas and back. Almost got hit 4 times on the way down, 3 by trucks deciding to take my lane from me. The other an suv, doing about 90 mph, that almost rear ended me in the right lane. It was in the left lane and drifted over to the right. My son was driving behind me, said it got real close before they jerked it back to the left lane.

Mowed most of the yard tonight, very tall. Gets dark sooner now, so will have to finish tomorrow.
Going to look at a ZTR on sat. Lots of money though.

Picked a bunch of tomatos, dont have time to do anything with them.

49 right now...high of 77 today. The rest of the week looks a bit warmer, but hopefully, the unseasonably hot weather is abating.

Good morning. Another day inside for me, painting walls and ceiling, although at least I was allowed out first thing to see the sunrise.

Hawkeye, that must be awful when you can't go outside because there is so much smoke in the air. Hope it clears soon. Are you still aware of the smell when you are inside the house ?

Poured first cup of coffee. 52° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 81° with lots of sun and low humidity. Wife got appointment for second opinion yesterday. 29 September. Hoping for a better diagnoses. Grand son is coming over to help me with a couple of projects. I enjoy working with him.

He is family, my boy, doing for him is like doing for me. Even though he is my wife's family he is a part of me, He is my Boy. I was blessed as much as he was. Ed
