Gary sorry to hear your mom, condolences and prayer sent. Had a similar experience w Dad, came back from vac with a cold and Dad had pneumonia. He died a week later.

David (moss) good to hear of the improvement of employment, networking may give you new opportunities. Hang in there.

rswyan, I started house keeping with 3 ac and a 20 in push mower. Needless to say some area did not get mowed until I got the 8N running and bought a well used brush hog

Good Morning. 1110, partly cloudy, 87F {102 heat index} with 75% humidity. Forecast high of 85F {?} with 20% chance of rain this afternoon, and a low of 70F tonight. I just walked over to Mamma's to put the belt back on her Husqvarna rider, and I was soaked when I got back. {it's four minutes each way} I don't see any lows in the 60's forecast until next Wednesday, although we only have two days in the 90's during that same period. I keep hearing about fall, but am yet to see any of it down here. I'll be ready for it when it comes.

I picked up the makings for burgers yesterday, so I'll be firing up {actually plugging in} the grill when Margie gets in from work. I was thinking about some baked beans to go with them, but will have to see how the afternoon unfolds before I make that big a commitment.

Drew, glad to hear you are settling in. Good luck in finding a PCP. It is getting harder and harder to find a good Doctor these days.

70F and no rain last 24 hours.

Off to Konaside for Costco run. About 180 mile round trip. The five 40lb bags of dog food make it worthwhile.
Plumber and I decided to totally replace one gas line. I'll start trenching that tomorrow.

Got the dump cart frame cut up/disassembled ... trimmed 4 of the 6 pieces in the bandsaw to clean up and square the ends ... the last two need a little bit of work with the grinder before I can do square them up in the saw ...

Good news is that the completion of the sawhorses is within sight ... maybe later today ...

Bad news is it's pretty warm out and very humid, so I'll be grindin' and sweatin' ...

Need to finalize the dimensions and plans for the grapple ... maybe do that later tonight and get started on the build in earnest tomorrow.

There was quite a bit of action at the suet feeder yesterday ... had four birds (nuthatches and chickadees) on it all at once with several more fluttering around trying knock one of them off and get their own spot ... so this morning I went up to the upper field by the bluebird house where I had put another one when the bluebirds were raising their brood and grabbed it and brought it down to the house and hung it on the feeder pole in the photo below.

If you look closely, the magnolia to the right of the feeder is apparently confused ... it's decided to bloom again

Yes I would say it is confused ours bloomed again last week. I think blooming time is over until next year. Bird feeder plenty busy at our house as well. House wrens, chickadees. Yellow finches, downy woodpeckers,titmouse too with Red Birds thrown in to boot

Just came back down to the house ... was outside up at the shed grinding and cleaning up metal and walked inside for a a little break and a drink of coffee and while I was in there the emergency alert sounded on the radio ... tornado warning issued for Summit and (eastern) Medina counties (at least ... probably Wayne as well) ... coming up out of Wooster, with Creston, Doylestown, and Akron mentioned specifically as being in the path.

Two more tornado warnings issued ... one is northeast up by the lake ... but the other one is southwest of here ... about 9 miles east of Wooster near Dalton, and tracking northeast ... which puts us pretty much right in the path.

Just lost the satellite signal ... which is usually an indication that we'll be getting dumped in short order.
