56 this morning and headed to 80 today.

Dew points in the 50's. Sure makes hay dry fast. Just need to wait for the dew to get off then we'll see how much hay we can bale today. I'm expecting about 100 bales. Still 250 standing to cut. That'll be on the agenda for later in week. Need to send wife after some hydraulic oil sometime also.

Eric. Tools will return when the replacement is bought. Or if you can wait. Once you have forgotten why you needed that tool. They don't like being replaced or forgotten about.

Drew. You sure dry out fast. We'd be wet for a couple more days after that rain. But I guess that's why ma nature make your soul so sandy. To handle the tropical rains.

The whole Florida crew is MIA. Did they get washed away or dry up? We've lost a state.

Cool and dry todayhigh around 70°, but some early info says those mid 80's for the weekend, might be mid 90's instead!

Very cool here ... 54F - 55F @ 11:30 with lots of clouds and very breezy. Winds are out of the NW @ 17 mph. Just flipped the furnace on.

Woke up this morning just before 05:00 and then fell back asleep until around 11:00

Hoping winds die off and it warms up some. I have to get the grass picked up and then investigate the coolant leak on the Sprinter and see if I can figure out where that's coming from. I'm guessing it probably isn't a loose clamp but who knows ?

Priced a new radiator yesterday ... $162, delivered, from Rock Auto ... very good price. Real pity to have to replace it - I had replaced it a few years back ... just before a deer decided to suicide itself by running in front of me in KY while I was on my way to TX with a load. Banged up the right front pretty good, but the radiator wasn't leaking.

Figured out the cuts for the sheet metal panels for the soil screen frame last night before I hit the rack. Should have enough 10 gauge to do the front, lower sides, and the triangular pieces just above the lower side pieces ... with some leftover ... but not enough to do some side plates above the screen itself to keep stuff from spilling over the sides.

Need to tip the frame over ... but it's gotten heavy enough now that I can't do it by hand, by myself.

Probably sharpen mower blades and do a little weeding if I can make the time.

Good Morning! 75F @ 10:00AM. Mostly sunny. High 91F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.

Don, after three months of use, I've been happy with my iPhone SE. Unlike the 6s or 6SPlus, it fits well in my pocket, and I appreciate the extra screen size (same as the 5S). I like the extra speed of the newer processor and 4G LTE service (where available), and I even managed to migrate all 1000+ notes from the old MarkSpace Notebook to Apple Notes without too much headache. And doubling the memory to 32Gb is nice, too, though I'd have gone for 64 Gb had it been available. I especially like being able to unlock the phone with a fingerprint, and appreciate the 6 digit pass code that they've gone to. I've just ordered a new Canon super zoom camera (40X) that can be remotely operated by the iPhone, and I'm really looking forward to that, too. My favorite feature? The level app that makes sure I pitch the tent where I won't slide to the bottom or roll out the door

Drew, looks like all that digging did the trick. Good job!

David, I hope you'll put some labels on those lights. I'd never be able to keep them all straight :confused2:

RS, your screen sure beats heck out of a 2x4 frame of hardware cloth sliding back and forth on top of the wheelbarrow!

Eric, you could also be victim of a worm hole connecting into a Parrelel Universe. They seem to have an affinity to favorite tools or critical parts, especially if they are small. The maddening thing is that something lost can reappear in exactly the place it was last left, even if that spot was checked repeatedly during the absence. :pullinghair:

Ed, the only good thing about moving is that eventually it is finished. Hang in there, buddy!

Thomas, didn't you just get back from vacation?

RS, modern radiators often use plastic caps on the sides, and they get brittle with age. You're lucky if they just leak a little to let you know they're failing, instead of bursting a six inch gash and letting all the water out at once. DAMHIKT!

Still no sign of the lost kayaker. They found his car parked across the canyon from my place, and his boat a little up stream. There's an outside chance he's staying with friends nearby, but otherwise it's not looking too good for finding him alive.

Got the drip rail spot welds drilled out yesterday, and will tackle the windshield and hatch welds today. With a little luck I'll have the roof off by tomorrow.

Found a rather large wasp nest up under the patio cover late yesterday afternoon, but waited to "treat" it until this morning when the residents were quiet and at home. One long burst was all it took to knock them all down, all from a nice safe distance.

Happy Hump Day!

You summed up my thoughts on the 3 different models.
I have both a 5s and 6s. The bigger 6s makes a big difference when going back to the 5s after using the 6. But if I was buying a new phone the SE would be high on my list when comparing the 5s and SE. I took some amazing pictures and videos with my 6s while on our winter trip. With Don's tendency to not have his camera on him when he needs to take that one chance in a life time picture. He is more likely to have his phone than camera. Plus next time he looses his phone he can use the find my phone app. One of my favorite features is finger ID. I wish every APP had it available. I like to protect my iphone from drops. Putting a military grade case on the 6s makes it large. The SE would be a better candidate for a military grade case. The $50 extra for the SE is well worth it.

Good point about the case, Ron. I used an Otterbox Defender on my 4S, and it looks like it just came out of the Apple Store. The SE wears a newer version of the same case. Great for drops, but it's not as dust proof as I'd like, and I have to pull the phone out every month or so to keep the screen crisp and clean. And even with that bulky case on, the phone still fits into my pocket. I can tell it's there, especially if I have to bend my hip sharply, but there's no way anything larger would fit.

RNG, I agree. Labels will be based on the cleaned up version of this:

Will also have a small binder with more detailed instructions.
Once installed and switches are properly set, I'll even have some remote control via Internet.

RNG, Ron, and toppop thanks for the phone reviews and protective cover suggestions. I do like the smaller SE which is the same size as the 5s. I'll have to start looking for pants with cargo pockets so bending will be easy or maybe a sideways belt holder.
Just got off of 4 hours seat time. The BH preformed flawlessly digging the two 10'x2'X18" sign foundation holes. Two of those hours were filling washout areas in my driveway from the rains.

The Otterbox Defender series comes with a carrier that clips to your belt into which the case snaps. It's a bit cumbersome, and looks kinda nerdy, but I use mine when I'm working and don't want a stiff leg

Now you tell me. :D Just got the 6s a few mounts ago. got the smaller otter box for it and am thinking of going over to the harness shop that my wife's cousin runs and getting a case made for it. He did a great job on a case for my 4s.

Thanks RNG I am hanging until saturday and then I hope the rush will be over.

Don thanks for the tip on EGO they sound great, never heard of them before will have to check them out.

Friend came over and helped me flip the frame up on its back. Ran another 58" of bead ... think only have 8" left to go on the frame, not counting the panels.

Took a break and got the grass on the front lawns picked up and then headed down to the house for some chow. Third night of stuffed peppers ... :)

Then came back up to the shop and got the five lower panels cut.

Good morning. Our day is starting off with an even cloud cover, still a little warmer than Roy and a great time after I have finished breakfast to get back outside before the sun arrives in an hour or two, like it did yesterday to sap away strength and willpower to get things done. Today I am saving plenty of tractor work for the afternoon and the cool of the cab.

We could do with some rain, the roof water storage tanks have run almost empty. There have been heavy downpours and flooding not far away. Yesterday I watched a huge cloud approach from the south, the rain clearly falling not much more than a mile away without us getting a drop.

In between the distant rumbling of thunder my wife heard something else and pointed at the rail line. I couldn't hear what had caught her attention but a few seconds later I could see a white plume making it's way through the trees. To see a steam train is always a pleasure, although sheep are not so keen of them, they usually scatter in all directions. Not this time though, the train was moving at only a steady pace and letting a diesel at the back do most of the work. Sorry, no pictures from me, I only had time to stop and stare. Well you would probably stare too if the Flying Scotsman came past your house. We later found out that it should had been touring Wales, but instead had to do a little detour onto the line by us as there had been problems on another part of the rail track.

There are some clips on you tube taken from other points along it's journey - crowds reaction gives an idea of the huge appeal of this special train.

Eric Used to be a steam train that went up and down the line that runs beside the James River in Virginia. I heard that people lined up to see it here too. I was doing some custom work beside the tracks with my tractor and watched it go by. Thanks for the videos.

The 611 steam engine resides in Roanoke Va and takes excursions durning the year. Graceful old lady that has been completely restored to her former glory. We took one of those rides a number of years ago great fun

The otterbox has protected my phone too many times to count from falls etc. if you don't mind the size

Good Morning All. 44 here this morning going to 75. Going to run another load the the storage units this am and then have to meet the delivery guys for the new freezer this pm. Two closings with all of the running paper work and a move in one week is to much of a good thing. I will be very glad when it is done. I feel very blessed just a bit tired, but blessed. The Comcast salesman sold me a package for the new house and told me I could get a router modem at Best Buy or somewhere. I wrote down the info and went out to help someone with some things they had bought from us. He had brought a friend to help and he ws a Comcast installer. I was told the router from Best Buy would not work if i have a phone line, so I got one from Comcast. One less headache.

Have a great day all Ed
