Beautiful day here, going into the 70s today. A little work at my wife's shop, then back home for chores. Have a good one!
47 and foggy going to 73 and then heavy rain tonight/tomorrow.
Started up the laptop this morning and had a big surprise from Microsoft...Windows 10 loaded last night...I'm sure I blocked every attempt they made to schedule it. Took over 30 minutes before I could use it as its settings took place. Couldn't figure out how to get back to Explorer as my browser, since Microsoft Edge is the new one and Norton Security says it doesn't allow it to provide real time protection. You guys have any experience?
Decided I'd try making bar-b-q when this big 10 pound pork shoulder called out to me at Costco last week. So, got the gas grill going around sunrise yesterday morning with some wet apple wood chips in my smoker box. Cut the shoulder in half, and tried two different mixes of herbs and spices. Finished the slow cooking about 7pm last night, and pulled some very tender tasty pork. Added a little vinegar, cole slaw, and corn on the cob. Now what are we going to do with over 9 lbs left over? Definitely giving some away and freezing a bunch. Can't eat it too often. Got the whole yard mowed while it cooked.
Good Morning. 0720, thunderstorm, 67F with 99% humidity. Forecast high of 80F with 100% chance of rain today, and a low of 69F tonight. After 2-3 days of the showers skipping over us, we woke to a good soaking rain this morning. We also woke to no lights. Margie got ready for work by flashlight. We do have power now though.
I had planned on transplanting oak trees down at the graveyard this morning. If the rain will ease up just a hair, I will still do that. Also want to hand water with some 11-2-1 liquid plant food in the garden. I have been doing it after I run the sprinklers twice a week. Everything is greening up nicely. Then in to work this afternoon.
Eric, thanks for the stories.
You guys have a good one,
Larro
