Beautiful day here, going into the 70s today. A little work at my wife's shop, then back home for chores. Have a good one!

Good Morning. 0720, thunderstorm, 67F with 99% humidity. Forecast high of 80F with 100% chance of rain today, and a low of 69F tonight. After 2-3 days of the showers skipping over us, we woke to a good soaking rain this morning. We also woke to no lights. Margie got ready for work by flashlight. We do have power now though.

I had planned on transplanting oak trees down at the graveyard this morning. If the rain will ease up just a hair, I will still do that. Also want to hand water with some 11-2-1 liquid plant food in the garden. I have been doing it after I run the sprinklers twice a week. Everything is greening up nicely. Then in to work this afternoon.

Eric, thanks for the stories.

You guys have a good one,

Larro

47 and foggy going to 73 and then heavy rain tonight/tomorrow.

Started up the laptop this morning and had a big surprise from Microsoft...Windows 10 loaded last night...I'm sure I blocked every attempt they made to schedule it. Took over 30 minutes before I could use it as its settings took place. Couldn't figure out how to get back to Explorer as my browser, since Microsoft Edge is the new one and Norton Security says it doesn't allow it to provide real time protection. You guys have any experience?

Decided I'd try making bar-b-q when this big 10 pound pork shoulder called out to me at Costco last week. So, got the gas grill going around sunrise yesterday morning with some wet apple wood chips in my smoker box. Cut the shoulder in half, and tried two different mixes of herbs and spices. Finished the slow cooking about 7pm last night, and pulled some very tender tasty pork. Added a little vinegar, cole slaw, and corn on the cob. Now what are we going to do with over 9 lbs left over? Definitely giving some away and freezing a bunch. Can't eat it too often. Got the whole yard mowed while it cooked.

Good morning, i'm relieved to see it wasn't just me. They did mine wensday night and i still having problems finding my favorites:mad:

Good Morning,
Got to pick up the kids for the day and wouldn't you know it,,,it is cloudy and cool. :-(

Will try to hit the post office to.

As for windows 10. It blew up my laptop last week and took every file I had with it!!!!!!!!!!!! The laptop is a older HP and after a new hard drive and three days on the phone with some girl working for Microsoft in India it is working again on windows 8.1. She told me they are having all kinds of issues with 10 and it should of never loaded on my Lap top because it is not compatible and I should not use 10. How do they get away with loading something on your property with out your consent?? There aut to be a law.
So in the mean time I went out and bought a new PC desktop that already has 10 in it. and I will only use the lap top as needed. And I am $800.00 lighter. I like 10 way better than 8 and 8.1 is better than 8 but I was happy with XP.

Good morning! 62 cloudy. With the 2 1/4" of rain yesterday we are soaked for a while again. My spillways need erosion repair. This is the first time they have eroded in the last 15 years.

The brown recluse spider bite area is still sore and very tender and I am reminded of this every time I take a step and my pants rub across the bite site. It's best to walk with my hand in my pocket holding the pants away from my leg. The bite area is still purple, and hard however the all over red body rash has diminished about 90%. This is day 11 after the bite. I still wonder how the site area will heal, the skin is still intact.

The tractor is grounded, too many areas to sink in this "once over" beach sand.

May wildflowers are starting to bloom.

Beautiful today, 2-3" of rain tomorrow, while we travel a 400 mile round trip to Front Royal for our son's 40th birthday party (birthday is May 31).

Drew, I'm also a big science fiction fan, started reading it as a 7-8 year old. Enjoyed Asimov particularly.
Man is indeed the only species with the ability to wipe out his species, and the only one with the capacity to save it.

67.9F with high, thin cloud deck @ 10:15 ... high today of around 74F. Calling for rain tomorrow.

Spent most of yesterday again cutting firewood ... then spent some time working on clearing the garden area. Got several more trees knocked over and the root balls dug out, including an apple tree which was a bugger. I think there are only one or two still standing that have to come out.

Most of the firewood is done at this point, except for what I knocked down yesterday ... at least as far as cutting goes. Still have to split and stack it.

Nephew is due back tomorrow afternoon and needs his chainsaw back to take down a couple of trees, so glad I got all the bucking out of the way.

Lawn is in bad need of mowing, so I'll probably throw the MMM on there and get that done as the first order of business for the day. After that, mebbe back to clearing/clean up while the area is still relatively dry.

Found out last night my former "house guest" now has a second case pending in Florida:

Hernando County Detention Center Inmate Search Details

He was charged under Florida Statute 941.02 which states:

941.02 Fugitives from justice; duty of Governor.祐ubject to the provisions of this chapter, the provisions of the Constitution of the United States controlling, and any and all Acts of Congress enacted in pursuance thereof, it is the duty of the Governor of this state to have arrested and delivered up to the executive authority of any other state of the United States any person charged in that state with treason, felony, or other crime, who has fled from justice and is found in this state.

No bond amount set, which I assume means that even if he somehow managed to come up with the $1500.00 for bond for the other pending charge, he still ain't gonna get released ... but who knows.

Today is Day 34 of his incarceration.
