Good morning!!!!

When our grandson stays over, he usually gets me up before the alarm can ring, although this morning the woodpecker again had me awake slightly before he came crashing in. Ben was keen to go out with me first thing to check on the sheep. Instead of waiting for me to open the gates, he has discovered he can now climb through in seconds.

Thanks for all the tips on welding rods.

RS, I don't fancy a quick sun tan, so I'll keep covered as you say. At the moment it's way too cold to think of being out in only a shirt, let alone a shirt with short sleeves. Many years ago I had a thick leather jacket that I stopped wearing due to the lack of pocket space for the ever increasing amounts of junk I seem to carry around nowadays. A couple of weeks back I had a rummage around and found that fortunately it had escaped the charity clothing collections and it is now seeing life again each time I play at melting metal.

43 going to sunny 69 with a bright moon to make it easy to take Coco out for a quick walk.

Eric, I can remember when I was small and limber enough to crawl through things like Ben.

Kev FTN - very impressive load on that new grapple you added to your bucket.

Once the rain dried, mowed everything but my trails yesterday, and the newly replaced steering gears held up well. Fingers crossed I can get another season out of it.

Good morning all. 38 here this morning, going to 70. Calling for showers Monday and then Tuesday through Thursday night so we should get some. Earlier this spring we were getting heavy rains and I had to go down in the pasture and dig a ditch so the water would not run toward the road. Now it don't matter because it is dry.

Are you Texans able to get around and start cleaning up much or is it still to wet? Ed

Good morning friends. 61 degrees at 5:30 am and forecast is to get to high 70's this afternoon.

Yep Ed, starting to dry out but, still have areas too wet to mow or even drive across. Thunderstorms forecast for mid-day.

The ark is still on standby!

28 right now...high of 56 today. About the same as yesterday's weather.
Today's projects are a continuation of yesterday's projects...
The bathroom faucet in a step-daughter's rooms is done and I started re stacking the wood pile. I'll try to get to the porch glider when it warms up a bit.

Good Morning! 52F @ 4:15 AM. A mix of clouds and sun this morning followed by mostly cloudy skies and a few showers this afternoon. Thunder possible. High 71F. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 30%.

Eric, that leather jacket sounds like a good idea, but be watchful for sparks jumping into the pockets. DAMHIKAT...

Dragged the neighbor's trailer home yesterday morning, and pretty much spent the day working on it. The electrical lead for the lights was in bad shape, so I took the one off my office trailer and swapped it out. I was rewarded with running lights, but no brake lights. The right side was wired backwards, the contacts in the left side were corroded, and after replacing the right lens, all was right with the world. Even got the trailer brakes working. I was about to weld up a couple short lengths of 2x3x1/4 tubing for a cross brace under the receiver hitch when I remembered an old hitch a friend gave me several years ago. It was still laying under the office trailer, and after some quick work with the porta-band it was welded across the trailer tongue in a good location to mount the winch. Used a couple of the battery lugs the neighbor supplied to make up a power cable for the winch, hooked up the control button, and... nothing. The relays aren't clicking even though they're getting power, and I think I smell a bad ground. The mounting plate I made up for the solenoid housing got a nice thick coat of paint, and I don't think the primary side of the solenoids is getting grounded properly. But by that time it was long past dinner time, so I'll have to test my theory after breakfast.

Also looked up the specs on the Westfalia camper van, and it seems like I'll have a couple inches clearance as it rolls into the garage. Now all I have to do is roll stuff around in there so there'll be enough room to work on it. Might still be kinda tight, but I'm used to walking around sideways.

Oh, and I did a little research on suspension systems, and may have found what I'm looking for:

Have a good'un, guys!

Good morning, i was surprized to see the frost this morning it's 33 now headed to 70 today. I got to mow with my new x580 JD yesterday it cut my time down some. I put chains on my 335 to mow the rough area and it goes like a tank now. I didn't get my tators planted ran out of energy and time, but with these temps they don't need to be in the ground yet. Everyone have a great day.
