Daugen, seeing where you now will be living, if I were you, I'd let the neighbor teenager cut my yard and I'd spend the money on a boat to go fishing in those waters!!! I figure $21K could last a long time paying the neighbor kid about $125 every 10 days during the summer. Or better yet, when the kid is done, take him fishing so he can pull up the anchor. :)
+1 :D

a whole lot of truth to that...and i do love to go boating, and still have my 16 Scout with a 60 Yamaha on it. does surprising well in 1-2 foot chop.
I've just never enjoyed fishing. but exploring the coastline, well that I did for years and years in the Chesapeake and I thought it would be fun to do that in the Inner Banks. The area is just plain huge, and too big for my little boat. We'll see how the house and grounds are doing in a year or two and then maybe a little larger boat would do. Probably lots of good used Grady Whites around here.

being on the water is so relaxing, maybe Kyle I'm going to give your suggestion some hard thought. Not like I don't have enough tractors around to do other stuff.
Like blaze a trail through impenetrably thick woods to a hidden pond at the rear of the property? Or mow for three hours.? Grapple away, or mow away.
hmmm, maybe I do have better things to do.

The F series, only because I just remembered this, has this seriously nice looking forward firing leaf blower as an attachment. And if I got a dusting of snow, once in a blue moon, that blower would likely blow it away. or just let it melt...

Being unable to hear, I really wonder sometimes what the difference in accent, pronunciation, inflection, etc. must be like. And yes, I know that everyone's voice is different...that is what I have been told many times...but it's very difficult to believe there can actually be so much disparity...

People tell me I sound like a German part of the time...but I am darned if I have any idea what that means....

A lot of us that had speech thearphy talk with a melodic cadence - kind of singing, only slowly.

I expect that would give you a very different perspective.

I mostly took yesterday off. I need a goof-off day now and then whether I deserve one or not. :D Today I felt like getting back to chores.

I gave the garden and flower bed a good soaking with the hose this morning.
Washed the car; it was dirty and the hose was out.
Tinkered with the bush hog, then mowed for about four hours.

55 right now...high of 81 predicted. Reckon I'll need to start mowing this afternoon (before the rain comes in).

67 degrees and raing. We are at camp in Upstate New York and can handle the rain!
Be here until Friday then back home. Hope I get all the mowing done here so I can go home and mow again

Good Morning All.

58*F with cloud cover. This morning they say decent chance of rain this evening and tomorrow, Ron's weather is going to track over us apparently. We could use it.

More bush hogging is the plan of the day.

That mow at home, mow at the camp routine can get old. We had a camp up north of Bangor for a few years that was 3-1/2 to 4 hours drive from home. Too many times we would go up for a long weekend and I would begin the weekend mowing, or trimming brush back. It was a love-hate relationship. :D
