Good morning. Looks like we are in for showers for most of the day. That's bad news as I've run out of excuses for not tackling a lot of the pending inside jobs. I can't complain really as my wife encouraged me to play with the new welder for a few hours yesterday. Slowly making progress - at how to grind out ugly welds and start again.



Ron, do hope your new Lincoln grease gun turns out to be as much fun as my K32. Mine is always so eager to please with a squeeze, it's little flexi tail wiggling with delight each time I treat it to a new tube of the sticky stuff.


RNG It is many years since I read a Hemingway book on shooting. If I remember correctly, in one of them he discusses the size of shot and what to wear when tracking down a wounded leopard. Since that day I have never, ever, been tempted to risk a shot at a leopard - not that there are that many of them roaming the English countryside

warmer day today, mid fifties now, going up to mid 70's, then a cold front comes in with frost warnings out. Good thing those tomato plants aren't in yet...but my seeds just planted should be fine.

David's train trip might have been delayed due to connection delays. Hard to believe in these days of safety first that Amtrak could run into their own backhoe and kill two employees. Not good at all, plus wrecked the train and hurt a bunch of people inside. After killing all those people on that bad curve in Philadelphia, one would have thought they would have tightened up their safety routines.

I'm off this morning to register my travel trailer. This is where NC collects big taxes, on registration, since no income tax.

Roy, hope you are feeling better soon.
