Being a diabetic is no fun, every now and then we pretend it's not there and buck the system only to get bitten in the butt!

Good morning. Had a quick wander outside with the dog and decided to leave feeding the sheep until our grandson arrives. This year he has really taken to clambering over the big "square" bales in the hay barn and filling racks has become the highlight of his visits.
I was faced with two options for my spare time yesterday, either go and play with the new brush cutter, or finish the bed for my wife's herbs. I chose to stay married.
The bed is 4' x 8', with retaining walls made out of old terracotta posts. At the moment there is only one lonely thyme plant in there - had to leave plenty of space in case RNG is sending some more .

The posts were salvaged a few years ago from the stalls of a neighbour's old cow byre that was being demolished. In their time they must have been state of art, really well constructed, with a 1" steel reinforcing rod running down the centre. Despite being a hundred years old the steel extending from the ends had only surface rust and looked like new when I cut each one off.
I just sent Don a text message, he's fine. I will let him explain his absence.
David, I'm guessing your ex plays a large part of your teenagers' ill will. I pray that when they get out on their own, they'll let you back into their lives.
