Couple inches plus of snow you could look like upper northeast. ;)

Good evening all. yesterdays high was 54F and sunny and breezy Got a ride in , Wife found and bought a fridge, worked on tracking down the coolant leak. Today low was 40F made it to 64F sunny again. less breezy. Replaced oil soaked heater hose and dist. seal (oil source), got ride in, and cleaned out mom's gutters. Listened to some football on radio while working Mizzou doing well this year.

38 degrees in a warming trend, going up to 65 today, then 69 tomorrow.

really had hoped I could get some work in today outside but woke up early with a very unhappy neck. Even wearing a soft collar, long drives really give my neck a workout. And now my latest mri thinks it is likely I have a C6 spinal fluid bleed. Lovely. I need to be traded in for a newer model. probably wouldn't get much of a trade in though. No spare parts either. Well...I might throw in a few extra hitch pins.

on a cheerier note, started to grow my winter beard back. Comes in white now, makes me look older, but I sure am warmer. My hair used to be brownish copper colored and I had a medium length beard about thirty years ago. Today I'd sure get hired as a Santa Claus. It will likely come off in March or April. I wonder how many of you grow a beard during the winter. Once we retire, it's our choice, not the company's, well, for sure your spouse's view is number one priority.

I'm off to go food shopping and then home to find my nativity creche to put out at the end of the lane and the beginning of the xmas light operation. Just testing lights today; going to try to take it slow and easy until my neck calms down.

38 heading to 60 today.

Will try to get the last of my outside painting done today, but I think it might be two days worth. Tomorrow will be good weather, too, but may rain tomorrow night. So, will try to finish today.

Drew, sorry to hear about your neck. Sounds like a job for your hot tub.

No beard here...I just can't get past the itchy period as it grows out.

28 degrees and heading up into the low 40’s today.
We will lose some of the snow, but not a whole bunch.

one week of misery. Each hair seems to want to curl back in and poke you, some feeling like
sharp little bits of copper wire. But once you get through that....with conditioner, a beard can be soft and presentable.
I have to get the hair away from my mouth though...not one to chew on myself.

Coffee is brewing. 63° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 76° with some off and on showers and south wind. Trip to Tyler, TX was uneventful except for traffic built up from holiday travel home. There was also a good wind coming out of the south beating on side of motorhome. Going to visit Eddie Walker today.
Drew, wish I could off some help with your neck pain. But I cannot. Hope the pain goes away soon.
txdon, lots of leaves blowing along I-20 yesterday. Nice picture.
Good Morning All.

26 right now and a high of 42 today....looks like there will be a lot of melt today...

Speaking of beards, I had one from the days I was in the Navy (beards were allowed when one was at sea, then Zumwalt (CNO in the 1970's) allowed beards when in the US too) until I was around 60. Got too gray to keep it...

The great thing about being in the Midwest is the "second chance" you get with the weather. Sure, we had a cold snap a while back but today is back in the 60's and the next two weeks look great to finish the outdoor projects that always seem to get pushed into this final window.

Yesterday I was able to cut down some 12' cedars that needed to go and since the ground was still dry I was able to backhoe out the stumps and level the ground. I dug a couple volunteer cedars out and put them in pots for next spring plus dug out a 2' tall burr oak tree into a pot. The next few days is more of the same and added to the normal cardio most mornings, the workout is as good as mid summer.

Another great thing about this time of year is the Thanksgiving leftovers. We got a 31 (!) lb turkey this year and it seems like an endless number of meals. Wife uses our garden sweet corn from the freezer and the sweet potatoes this year were huge. I remember the old days of growing up when my mother got an unthinkable huge 20 lb turkey. We always had a lot of company and I recall everyone remarking they had never seen such a large--20 lb--- bird. Wife said this year there were plenty of turkeys in the 35 lb category. I can't imagine.

32F cloudy highs mid 40's..kinda to bad we got the snow couples days ago, sure would be good putter day outside.

Install Mrs. new kitchen faucet yesterday talk about tribal test of courage,35 years old copper to fancy plastic snap in supply lines...arrrrrr.
Mrs. eyeing new shower head sprayer combo now. :(,guessing since winter knocking on the door she had list of jobs for me to knock off before mud season.
Not whole heck of a lot plan today, puttering watch little football check game cams.

Enjoy the day all.

Indeed---it always tastes better the day after.

I'll add that my wife seems to have found a way to make pumpkin pie filling without the added fat like butter since I rarely eat saturated fat. By the way, wife always says the best pumpkin pie filling is made with a fresh buttercup squash. It has the button on the bottom.

Good Morning. Horses fed and out. Chickens also out and doing their thing. First cup of coffee helping clear some cobwebs. 78 expected high today. Planning on spreading some compost, and prepping one of our raised beds-compost and planting soil. Not much else on the agenda-but I always seem to find things. A ride is very likely this afternoon.

Drew: Sorry to hear about your neck. Rest is the best, so take it easy. Not sure I can do the beard thing. AFter about day 4, it starts driving me crazy. Plus I can't go more than 4 days without something on the calendar, and want to look presentable. Perhaps over the Christmas/New Year period-not much going on then.

Good Morning, 30° and mild today in NH.

Take it easy Drew, neck pain is never good. Relax and enjoy putting out your crèche when you can.

Beards? I grew a short one last year and kept it, just trim it short and neat. Sure it's gray, who cares. lol

Hmmm, leftovers with lots of gravy, nothing better.

Have a great Sunday everyone.

Good Morning, 0910, sunny, 54F with 94% humidity. Forecast high of 72F with 0% chance of rain this afternoon, and a low of 46F tonight. It was 36F this morning @ 0600 when I rolled out. I had to come into work early this morning, so long pants today. I didn't get up early enough to do my regular cardio at home, but I did walk a mile once I got to work.

Drew, take care of that neck. You can take a day off once in awhile. For several years now I have grown a beard during Winter. That is between the Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. I look at as carrying on a family tradition. I grew up hearing stories about my Great-grandfather Lamb who shaved and cut his hair every May when he sheared his sheep. I am getting a little more gray in my beard every year. Still not to the Jerry Garcia stage yet.

Everyone have a good day,

Larro
