48 right now....foggy and a bit damp, so it feels cooler. The high today is supposed to be 77.
Boy, I got all my tractor work done earlier this week...I might have to mow the field again just for the **** of it...

70 already at 0749 and headed for 95 today. Making a batch of beer is on the agenda for this morning before it gets too hot.

good news Sam. Better the MIL is, the better your wife is, etc. Now that the care is in the hands of
professionals, I hope she can breathe a little easier. Other than that, things will take their course.
And there are likely to be more emergencies. Failing health is no fun for sure. But each day can be a good day

Good morning all. 71F going to 90F and sunny. No rain yesterday still less than an inch both July and August. Sod needs mowing, wood-chipper needs exercise and to be sold, and boat electric wiring needs help.

its a beautiful morning sunny no wind and 60 degrees getting up to 83.i cut the lawn last night maybe trim a bit today.

Yesterday, a storm appeared out of nowhere and dropped 0.15" of rain on me. It was like the Wizard Harry Potter conjured up the storm. It started growing and rumbling right before our eyes and then rained hard for about 15 minutes. Not a great amount of rain, but a nice surprise in Aug. Temps still made it to the high 90s F as they will also today. It is still summer, even if it isn't the worst one for heat, it's awfully dry in these parts.

THE HALF BREED

They call me a Boxer,
But I'm a Half-Breed.
Part Boxer of course,
and part people indeed.

Anyone who owns me knows it's true.
We're so close to being people,
we're like part of you.
"He's one of the family,"
you've heard people say.
"Don't know how we'll manage when he passes away."

But they'll get another Boxer,
a pure bred at first.
Not the most well-behaved puppy,
but far from the worst.

Then the change will take place,
the same as before.
They'll end up with the same human HALF-BREED once more!
