I believe this has been the mildest May in years as far as temperature. We've enjoyed a whole month of spring weather and had nice rain showers. Of course, if I go 100 miles in any direction, they've had severe storms. I've just been lucky. I don't think my yard has ever looked as good as it is today, and the filled area between my house and the road is now green and lush from the grass seed and fertilizer I planted. I've only had to water it three times since planting. Also, my new ponds are almost 1/2 full. The good rains we've had can't make up for a whole year's worth of drought.
It's 71 F and breezy here this morning with the sun washing the damp grass from last night's rain.
