Happy, if I did 12,000 steps I'd wind up in the ER. You sure keep on the move.
at 2500 steps things start to really hurt on me. Don't want to drug myself to enable more steps as I try
to delay a lower back operation.

warm morning here, just wish it was light out
I'm not like Bird who used to mow his lawn at 4am to beat the Texas heat

67 outside this morning breezy unreal for November but it’s happened before.
Finally back to work today see how that goes.

Thanks Drew Thomas I’m just worn out ups and downs and knowing end result is horrible. Knows who I am less and less.

Prayers for all our Country

Good morning, the low is 37 and going to a high of 34°F. Wind NNW 13 gusting to 19 mph. Periods of rain mixed with sn*w. Le marde blanc. But I love it! No bugs.

I was going to go for a trike ride today, but not in the rain. To heck with that.

I will fire up the Kioti block heater today and leave it on for an hour or so, then shoot the block with my laser thermometer to determine how warm it gets.
Gotta bring the batteries inside for the trike and z-turn, too.

Winter prep is a P.I.T.A.

The oil guy came yesterday and I paid $1.65/L ($6.237/US gallon) total $805.oo, it is a good thing it is all prepaid. I prepay the oil out of my income tax rebate in spring. Also buy the firewood at the same time. I generally get about 9-10 grand back.

Time to get on with my day.

Have a safe day all

good morning, 63 going to 74 very warm for this time of year

Don't have enough time to do what I like to do around here. Priorities are always make wife comfortable and take care of her. Glad she had fun yesterday at the clinic with other patients and staff. Usually patients are not very upbeat going through an illness with no cure. But a little fun goes a long way to cheer people up and bring a smile.
Bubbies hopefully you have moments that can bring a smile to offset some of the difficulties you are going through.

Had a couple of hours yesterday working on cutting back the slope and make it less steep. The firewood pile was out the way so it was a good time to do it. I like to be able to mow slopes with the ZT without risking roll over or slides. Figure that I moved about 60,000 lbs of soil. Each bucket load is around 3000 lbs and did about 20 loads top full. Stopped to put more air in the front tires since they were bulging a lot under load especially on turns

Drew, I will share some of my 7,900 steps from yesterday. I fell asleep in recliner yesterday evening. 😴 I was tired.

Good Morning to all who celebrate! 66 this morning going to a high of 72. A smattering of rain last night, just enough to dampen everything. Coffee is tasting mighty fine this morning.

I went to order some felling wedges off Amazon, felt good about that but then realized I didn't have an axe to pound them in with. So ordered that. Then, I found a deal on a lockpick training kit. Hmm...always wanted to take a crack at that. 160 dollars flies fast all told. But I have the wedges, axe, and the kit on the way here.

Survived another work week, so that's a plus.

No real goals for this weekend other than to keep the dog alive.

Have a wonderful weekend and be safe y'all!

Good Morning
65° with a high in the upper 70’s. Grey and a few spits of rain. Not enough to register on the rain gauge. Supposed to clear up after the cold front passes.

Yesterday started with cutting some sandblast rubber and shortening a diamond core bit for my buddy the Rockman. That involved cutting it down to the desired length. Boring the old shaft out of the hub, then brazing the shortened shaft into the hub.

I did get the steel bars to make fireplace tools and a stand. A length of each 1/2, 5/8 and 3/4. Now I’ve got to figure out what I am going to make.

Added buttons for the garage door openers to operate them from our new door into the garage.

Went by the airport to install the repaired cellular switch for the engine heater on the little plane. I keep it connected so I can remotely turn it on to preheat the engine. (Assuming it actually gets cold this winter).

Then it was put the feet up and wait for our lone trick or treater (grandson).

Morning all, 58 going to 80 and rain, supposed to get .03" and at the current rate, that is probably it.

Halloween at our friends was fun, they get a lot of kids coming by to see their pot belly pigs.

He had his pumpkin barrel filled with wood, but at 78 degrees, we all felt too warm for a fire.

I only did 6000+ steps yesterday, seems when I think I walked a lot, it's around 5000 steps. When I just wander and do little tasks, I easily pass 10,000 steps.

Buppies - we feel for you, could be any of our situations. Are you able to get more outside help so it's not all on you? Hope you can get some rest at least.

Be well,

Leaves, what leaves...

67 outside this AM, heading to upper 70's.

We are home at the farm, we have cleared out our in-laws place down to four cars that we will sell.

We are in decompress mode after these past few weeks. Two, estate sales over two weekends, four dumpsters and many, many trips to donation centers and auction houses. Eight trips during the past few weeks moving keeper furniture around that will either sell better or end up in a family members house. I have eaten nothing but junk fast food for two weeks....lol. That and ancient dust will probably shorten my life span a few months. What a mess to deal with.

Anyway, lots of ketchup to do on the farm, and there is no place like home. Glad this year is almost behind us, looking forward to the New Year.

Hope all have a great day and good start to the weekend.

One funny story, now, not when it was happening, my BIL from FLA lost his keys while moving stuff around at the in-laws. Yeah, they were in the dumpster. Which we unloaded about half way. I had placed an old tarp just before quitting for one day over the mess. So the next day when he lost his keys, they ended up down about half-way just before the tarp. Talk about stress! His truck, turns off after twenty minutes without keys, so some people were freaking about what to do about all that, with a U-Haul already attached to it and what not. The next few days after that, my keys and wallet were in the house so they would not disappear. LOL.

I got a note from my bank that my 12 month CD was maturing and have 10 days to renew or figure something else. Current (last year) rate is 2.25%, current 9 month rate is 4.45%. Good to see that increase.

I checked the block heater...The block before heat was 42.7°F., after 20 minutes of heat it was 50°. I usually add heat for at least 4 hours when I need to plow snow. IF I fire it up with no heat (in an emergency like someone in the ditch) then I run the glow plugs through 2 heat cycles and fire it up and let it warm up for at least 10 minutes. The external power beyond jacks where I supply oil to the BH, I have a bypass hose that goes from the one to the other and that way I warm up all the oil and avoid deadheading the pump. Towing chain is still in the tractor from last winter.

I hope to travel up to my friend's cabin in Arkville NY next summer. Would have to dry camp but I can do that for two days.
Just have to stop at campground on way home to dump tanks.
the 52 years I have been going up route 28, passing the old Borscht Belt towns
I always remember passing a Hungarian restaurant in one of those little towns, until it too finally closed.

but this time I want to get off the NY Thruway asap and head up inland, crossing the Shokan Reservoir. This is very pure mountain water and
is a primary water source for NYC. They even have a well marked NY DEP Police Station right before the bridge.
16 ton bridge limit, I'm well under that. But would sure have some paperwork ready to document that, need to look at door plaques.
Pretty sure I'm 13 tons. But big enough to get stopped by Officer Bob.

should I just run it with Officer Bob in hot pursuit?
But Judge, he forced me to crash the rv into the lake, err water supply
no water for millions, even my umbrella policy won't cover that...

I'd like to get some pics taken here, maybe even send up the drone if I can park the rv someplace nearby.
looks like the Alps, totally protected and totally pristine
Bet if I parked in the striped no parking area they have off to the side, wonder if that will trigger a visit.
These folks truly do not want me throwing something bad in that water, so I get it.
I come in peace...and photography.
maybe they won't trust me to use the drone, I haven't sunk it yet but they don't know that.
Perhaps best I can do is panorama setting on Iphone or my larger camera.

69°F and 4.01 inches rain. Yup, been another wet one. Forecast to continue.

Guys were victorious at H&F last night. a close game that gals almost pulled it out.

Buyer of my old golf cart supposed to come this morning to pick up. Lives in Captain Cook area so quite a drive.

Otherwise an inside day, but I can hear the grass getting ready to burst forth once basked with a few hours sunshine.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a blessed day
