Good morning!!!!

Spent 99% of the last 24 hours in bed sleeping. Flat out hammered. My wife is juggling 100% of the chores to host our company at a time when she isn't feeling well either.

Fever broke about 2am. Hope I can salvage some time with friends this morning before they leave.

Everyone have a great day !!!

Good Morning,
Vt, 49 to start going to 64, with a light rain falling ! We are pretty well socked in although I can still see the mountains !

Mostly, the hot chocolate was very good!
It actually wasn’t that bad out there with the sun being out !

Wngsprd, no bacon and eggs on the boat yesterday, I settled for a salami sandwich! 😀

Bill, no sherry in the hot chocolate but it was Ghiardelli chocolate! 😉😀

As Randy would say, I need to make a tip run today ! Also planning on some shop time due to the weather.

I only have about 2 more acres to bush hog but it’s not looking too good for that !

Don, on the lighting, is there any chance you could install a couple WiFi switches for what you want turned on and off ? Maybe that might be a possibility!

Plowhog, hoping for a quick recovery for you, I’ve never been a very good patient when I’m truly sick, at least that’s what my wife tells me !

RNG, beautiful Looking Norton ! I’m guessing that bike is worth a ton of money !

Hope all have a blessed and safe day ! 🙏

Good Morning
61° and grey. High of 65 with rain likely today.

Yesterday started with breakfast with the professor, then off to HD for some plumbing supplies. The only plumbing left to do is to install the toilet, and that will wait until after the painting is complete.
The current task for the painters is to stain all of the trim including the windows and doors, everything will be stained and varnished (poly actually) wood.
Tile guy came and set the tiles for the backsplash, he’ll come by and grout them today.

Doctor told me that I’m not retiring yet, issued me a first class medical certificate, so I’m good for another six months.

The threat of rain has worked out well for me in that the painters have been coming here instead of the outside job they are trying to finish. Joining them today will be the appliance repair tech to replace a board in my brand new range that was doa when they delivered it last week.

I do hope that it rains, it’s a real dust bowl out there where the ground is bare. I can’t final grade and seed until the concrete patio, walk and porch are poured, and the end of the season is getting closer.
I have not had to mow for weeks, which is very unusual for this time of year.

good morning all from San Dimas CA
60 out now going to high 80s
wish that was forecast for where I'm going....106 today
I'm stopping at a WinCo in Indio before I get there, looking for fresh fruit,
think I might turn on gen and a/c
and let that run for last part of trip, try to cool down inside of rv.
I asked them for a shaded spot, not sure they have any

not a long drive today, straight out 80, would really like to leave this heavy traffic behind

good morning, 63 going to 72 more rain in the forecast

Cleaned up around the shop. Amazing how much accumulates after a few little projects

Tractor tire is on and holding air. Got the system down how to mount it the easy way without hurting the shoulder.

Picked up new wiper blades for the tractor from Advance auto. Kubota wanted a mint for them

Also picked up some tire and tube repair patches to have on hand for next time

Discount tire called this morning that the new tires for the van are in. New to go down to Martinsburg to get them installed, 1400 dollars

Noticed an exhaust smell in the van yesterday. The right side exhaust manifold may have developed a leak. A slight hissing sound. May try to get under there to check it out

Morning all, 63 going to 68 and saying it's going to rain, yeah sure.
Got the pool furniture put away finally.

Drew - in NYC turn signals are considered a sign of weakness
Don't forget that Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure was filmed in San Dimas

When in Ontario Cali you could always tell when the wind was blowing from the Chino direction.
It snowed up on Mt Baldy and it was fun watching the ANgelinos drive their pickups to the top, fill it with snow and drive back down to make snow men. Of course quite a few overloaded their pickups and their were quite a few off to the side of the narrow road waiting for a tow.....

Good seeing your meetup went so well BEF and Ron!

Feel better Plowhog.

Back to work, be well,

Good Morning!!!! 56F @ 6:00AM. Foggy this morning, then partly cloudy this afternoon. High 69F. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph.

Got most of the grease up off the floor yesterday using brake cleaner and paper towels. Was going to use the parts washer on the stuff on the shelves, but the pump wouldn't prime. I think the filter is clogged, so two are on order from Amazon.

Van and car both need washed, so that's on today's list.

How did it get to be Hump Day already?

I've never had it, but it does sound good.

The weatherman lied again. Said it was going to rain this EVENING, It is raining now and has been since 7 A.M. Pouring down. I am glad I opted for a ride to the quacks rather than pedaling my butt in like I was going to.

when I stop for a few groceries and a jug of water in Indio,
I'm thinking I may start up generator and run the a/c for last hour of trip.
try to precool this box. Never driven with rv a/c on, many folks
do, and I'm sure the folks who owned the rv before did. Doesn't burn much gasoline and would be turned off as soon as I plug in.

Drew - you will pass by a lot of Joshua trees,
They are endemic to the area. Can always tell when a movie is made in that area by seeing them.

I installed a second ac system in the motorhome driven by the engine with the evaporator mounted mid ship to avoid running the generator when driving

Good Morning,
Don, on the lighting, is there any chance you could install a couple WiFi switches for what you want turned on and off ?
!

I will look for some, I need 2, one for front, one for back yard. Thanks for the suggestion.
Anyone using a good Wi-Fi outlet switch?
Recommendations?

Great pics! And glad to see all the greetings and meetings.

Thanks for the info!

Chuck Yeager, a fan I am. Always wanted a Bee mint to go on a crazy dangerous mission.
That 400 has some wow performance. Understand if your a bit somber over it going. Closest thing I've been on to compare, and only for a 22 minute flight, was a Turbo Commander with twin 733 shaft HP engines. That baby would put you in your seat. We didn't climb real high, and IIRC, on the downhill part of the flight we were cruising at 330 knots for a 2-3 minutes??? Is that possible?

Your the helper hero of the day! Those ribs sound really good. I didn't see any oil drips under that Norton?
Glad I don't have to commute in LA....or anywhere that congested. Traffic is one thing I don't miss. My kind of Traffic is the kind with Stevie Winwood singing and playing.

Got home at 545pm, got on the tractor about 615, mowed until 830 well past dark. It was slow going in many places with deep Johnson and Bunch grass. Very dusty. Thunderstorms all around me but not over me kept it cool. It was very hot at first. Wore my N95 respirator.

Paul, have a good time playing at your high school reunion. That is a lot of amp to have to jam out. Will you be able to "crank it up"?

Frits, tire holding up? Hope so.

Wagtail, good on the tree felling. You too Billy. Farwood as we say around here.

Hope all have a blessed day. Prayers.

Looks like Ukraine is putting some ammo dumps out of commission.

I think they make the Blackjack brand gum too. Both should appear on the shelves as Halloween approaches.

Good morning! Low of 47°, going for a high of 80°. Seems the weather guessers have increased our highs this week to hover around the 80-84 range. What happened to the mid 70's predicted last week? No rain at all.....

I think I finally won the battle against the aphids. Only a few small spots on a couple of trees have been showing up and they get the soap treatment ASAP.

Just been piddling around, not starting any 'big' projects for a bit. Hopefully soon, waiting on funding.....

Trees are starting to turn colors, Drew, you might get to see some on the way here. Sent you a PM.

Fueled up at Costco the other day... $2.66/gal. Other stations in the area are at $3.29.

Everyone have a great day!

70°F and no rain

Beautiful day yesterday and I enjoyed most of it on Sophie’s BX. Got lots of mowing done. Likely continue today.

Splurging on Angry Lobster night tonight, end of promo and close enough to our anniversary. I doubt the future inheritors of our estate will miss it to same degree we’ll enjoy it.

Enjoying having a fully functional Apple Watch again. Can’t really complain as the old one was a version 5 that I got for free. It was only this past year that functions were limited. When I attempted to trade in Apple said they would send me recycle material.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Remind me, why are you not looking in Augusta, Rockingham or Page counties?
I did, just nothing that we liked at the time.
Prefer WV for the more relaxed building permits.

My realtor called, We found out it’s the current neighbor that wants to buy, the one we first had issue with.
I said what they offered plus they pay any realtor fee.
Will see where this goes.

Back from the quacks. 1st he filled out the form and insisted on him faxing it to the MTO. Then he put that I needed a functional assessment that means more money out. That is quite the racket those quacks have. First they lift my license, then they charge me for filling out the forms AND expect me to pay for the forms fill out AND the functional assessment and the road test. In the meantime I don't have a license so I have to pay someone to take me to all this crap AND the only income I have is my two pensions $1200.oo/month. That is on top of the $234.oo worth of goobers they want me to take.
And then when I wanted to pay for the visit and form fillout, $60.oo they refused payment because I tried to pay with my card. "We don't have a machine" was their lame excuse, but they wanted me to go to a bank machine and get the money because they are too lazy or too stupid to get a machine. The last form they filled out for me cost me $20.oo, I had that, but that is all I had.
