Don, I wonder if some version of this would help. Not much room for second set of hands in there so
wonder if you could move wood with this instead of fingers.

Probably not. For the really sharp turns and constant turning you need the fingers to walk along the wood and to guide and hold and manipulate the wood. Just think if Randy had to use those when sewing detailed pieces of upholstery.

Good Morning!!!! 51F @ 4:00AM. Cloudy and windy at times with periods of rain. High 57F. Winds SSE at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 80%. Rainfall around a quarter of an inch. Higher wind gusts possible.

It drizzled most of yesterday, then picked up overnight and dropped about an inch and a half. It was coming down hard enough at 2:30AM to wake me; the wind driving it against the sliding glass door made such a racket.

A small scroll saw was one of the first power tools I was allowed to use as a child, Don. It wasn't a very good one, and my little fingers had a heck of a time keeping the wood firmly on the table. Never hurt myself with it, nor with the band saw that replaced it, but I remember notching a fingernail or three with that band saw. Keep an eye on that blade and you should be fine.

That pork chop looks delicious, Drew. Not sure about kale bread, though.:yuck:

Love color case hardening, Buppies. I bet that '73 is a beaut!

Made up seven panels of the sound deadening material before I ran out of glue, and while the glue was drying got the valves installed in the cylinder heads that came back Monday. The valves and seats looked fine, so I just lapped them a bit; they should be good for another 20-30K miles.

Off to town early this morning before another wave of rain hits, but it will probably catch up with me before I can get home.

RNG I can see you sitting in a tracked skid steer with a/c and stereo mowing. Left hand moving about two inches to change direction, right hand doing nothing at all. Weæ±*e talking $70,000.00 dream but with lottery winnings who cares?

Don, I was working at 80% by afternoon. I figure using the 1/4 impact to install tek screws into 12 ga will fix the artery up just fine.

The photo is of a mesquite I found in Yuma Az that needs to be removed. 34 diameter at 4 ft and taller than the power lines. All I could see was coffee tables flying in the wind. I discovered that one of my few allergies is mesquite. Tree is still there, waiting for RNGç—´ lottery luck.

Itç—´ awesome in Thereabouts today.

Good morning to all! Low of 52, going up to 78, no wind this morning, but by this afternoon, wind arrives with gusts up to 40 mph. Wind supposed to stick around for a week....oh joy! High Temps are to drop 10-15 degrees for the next 3-4 days. Only 10% chances for a sprinkle.

Need to do a few errands today, then ?? Maybe some shop time.

Don, once you get proficient with the scroll saw, you can do all that fret work on making a coocoo clock...

Drew, your meal looked good!

Mostly, is your house the one on the left or right?

David, sorry to hear 'plan A' didn't succeed... Any way to use one of those small gas augers horizontally to find the end of where the waterjet stopped? Just dig out a larger area on the side to find the end? Can't remember how far in it stopped.

Neighbor asked me if I could cut her front / side yard yesterday (about 1 1/2 acres) some of it was almost 2' tall. Her sister is coming into visit and she suddenly wanted it "presentable".... Took me almost 3 1/2 hours with the garden tractor mower (54" cut). I also found some hidden surprises.... I'll need to check the blades / deck today, probably at least resharpen the blades for sure.

Hope everyone has a great day! Prayers sent.

60°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 90° today. That sure escalated fast. Just a few days ago we were down in the low 40s.

Nice pics, mostly. Reminds me of some of the lakefront properties I've seen at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Some ridiculous money there, too.

I'm afraid I'm with RNG, Drew. Kale bread doesn't even sound good. That pork chop, however, looks quite delicious.

Scroll saw is one of those things I've long wanted, but simply can't justify either cost or space based on usage. Neat tool, though.

It looks like 38° for the low this morning. Yesterday was in the low 70's and mostly cloudy by the afternoon and windy. Today is going to be like yesterday with a better chance of showers in the afternoon. They are still calling for wet weather for the next five days with colder temperatures.

I got the fence done yesterday but it is a on good job for the rest of the season. I talked to one of the the ranchers last week and he said that they will start bringing the cows up about the 20th of the month. The property west of me is open range. Glad I got the fence done.

Making a trip to town this morning not sure what the rest of the day will bring.

Hope everyone has a great day.
CWB.

Drew, those "push blocks" work well with table saws as your pushing material in a straight line. On a scroll saw you're constantly turning your material to follow a pattern.

Good Morning! It's 64°F and overcast this morning with 94% humidity. Forecast predicts 84°F this afternoon with 50% chance of rain this afternoon.

Need to make a run to the post office to ship a package this morning. Then back to mowing down all our wildflowers in pastures. With the high humidity, cab and A/C will be just right.

I cut all the ditches between road and fences on our road yesterday. Had to go around a few places ..... still to wet.

Jay, sounds like you need a "larger" air fryer? Or a 2nd Air Fryer? . My Power Air Fryer Oven w/rotisserie, from Sam's, should arrive today. I'm thawing a pork loin roast, about 4#, to try out the rotisserie. We buy whole pork loins, cut off a bunch of 1-1 1/2" loin chops and keep one end 3-4# , for a roast.

Don .... good luck with your scroll sawing. They take some practice but a lot of fun. I bought a Hitachi 16" variable speed scroll saw with stand, from a neighbor who bought it 2 years ago and never used it. He let the table get a bit rusty but, I should be able to remove that easily. I got it for $75.

RNG ....... another skid steer benefit is that, you can put down force on a post hole digger, which you can't do on a 3-point.

Hoping everyone has a great "Friday Eve" today.

Prayers to all
