Opened for the first time in Texas. It is some kind of warehouse scale that my deceased brother brought down from up North. It is in the estate sale. It was all boxed up sitting in an Estate shed.

Pleasant day.
Mowing done and I’m ready to proclaim Sophie’s pool as converted to salt water. Chlorinator appears to be working, but instructions say to allow a few days to adjust Cl production. Decided togo for a dip. Water does have a lightly salty taste but not bad. Pool itself felt really clean, vinyl not slippery. Temp was only 79°, a bit chillier than I like but comfortable after a minute. Followed up with a session in the hot tub. Kinda lazy afternoon. Do I enjoy a freshly drawn Porter before or after a nap?
I do want to research if I can improve water flow with just my solar pump to maintain adequate flow for chlorinator. Choices maybe add more solar or change out pump to larger. More investigation.

Depends on which connector. Smaller hole to go from in to out, but seemed a bit counter intuitive.
I had to go with th big one, because I put the dish on to of a 22’ mast…

when I relocate it onto the peak of the house I can go smaller, but relative to the cable Janet er it is still a big hole…

Ken, that whole control panel unscrews from the lower chamber and the element lifts out. Came with instructions and container for cleaning. The panel even has a cleaning indicator. Element should last about 8 years.
I also installed a Waterguru Sense 2 Automated Smart Pool Water Monitor | WaterGuru. Did test this afternoon and Cl level up from yesterday but so was ph. Learning curve. Like it better than test strips.

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 8.1C and it's presently 21.6C, lightly overcast (more of a 'film' as the sun is coming through) and calm (claim of stronger wind this arvo).

After I posted yesterday I noticed a grey haze that increased in intensity. A quick review of the State's Fire Service website showed that there was a 'fuel reduction' burn going on practically next to the property. It's the area that didn't get burnt during the bushfire we had a couple of years ago. Thick smoke on & off during the day, depending on any breeze occurring. There's still a 'hint' of smoke/haze this morning.

Oh, well. It needs to be done.

Today is 'into town' day for mail/groceries. I may get to replacing some more star-picket plastic caps that I noticed had deteriorated due to UV rays when I cleaned up Paddock #5.

That's about it, take care all.

Don, just curious, but does everything go through the estate sale or can you pick out what you’d like to keep?

No Covid shot for me I’m screw up enough, did take first two now high blood pressure
I had the first two. But thankfully my blood pressure is still good. It's been high the past month the two times I've had it checked. First time I was going in for out patient surgery. Had a tooth abcess the day before. Of course I couldn't take any pain medication.

They gave me something for pain during preop and it dropped.

Long story, but I couldn't get in to a specialist for a month. Couldn't get a hold of my dentist or the specialist to get me on more antibiotics Friday to get me through till the appointment today with the endontist.

Couldn't get in to see my doctor either. So I ended up at a walk in clinic with my whole jaw throbbing and it feeling like someone was jabbing an ice pick in my ear

Blood pressure was through the roof at that point

I bet it dropped considerably today after the procedure.

Wife said I've sure been more talkative and not walking around resembling an angry badger

The only PITA with the StarLink install is the size hole you need to bore for the connector to pass through, versus the amount of space the cable takes up after…
Yeah, they didn't think that through very well. They are nice sealed connectors, but both too large to be passing through a wall. Still need to close ours up with RTV.

Is anyone planning on getting their flu shot this year? Or the Fall Covid shot?
I usually wait a few months after each new vaccine is introduced and then poll my doctors & other friends to see what they are thinking.
Only the RSV is out yet - at least in our area. One retired doc got it last week, another still in practice said he is going to wait until about December before reviewing the results. i.e. to early for conclusions.

Flu & Covid not available yet.

Vaccination is a wonderful tool. I remember all too well the horror of mysterious annual polio outbreaks.
Lost my best friend in grade school that way.
But side effects are real too.
