Mowing gets another rain delay. Can’t be too upset as I know some of my friends need the water.
I did get the electrical portion of the pool mod done, except having the right breakers on hand, next trip to HD.
Will tackle plumbing side after a break. Would like to get pvc glued up to set overnight.

Been slow day mostly puttering.
Neighbor 3 homes up the road had tall skinny poplar tree fall across there driveway and they couldn't exit,so got little seat time push 2 halves plus well off the driveway and mention there 4 more trees you should consider taking down soon,he reply " hoping trees would fall in the road than highway department clean them up" I had noooo comment also no hurry to return if tree/trees fall.

Plans for the evening...set on the deck for while later maybe watch Jets vs Bills and share bowling ice cream.

Good (Tuesday) morning. Overnight Low of 8.1C and it's presently 17.3C, mostly overcast (no rain though) and fairly calm.

Not much on for today but life is good, so there you go.

Funny that you should mention that ! I have a neighbor in Ct diagonally across the road from us, he is planning on doing the same thing ! Both trees are poplars also. I walked by today and pointed it out to my wife, and she was not too happy about it ! He also has one large one farther onto his property, that when it does fall, he is going to be stuck with that cleanup ! Cant make this stuff up !

Good Morning
It’s 67 with a high in the middle 70’s forecast with slight chance of a shower late in the day. Better than the inch of rain we got yesterday spread across several showers throughout the day.

It was a good test of the Henry wet patch on the roof collar. The dining room stayed dry. I will replace the collar, possibly just slide a new one over the existing one when I get to it, but the patch was what I had on hand in the face of a rainy day. The main goal was to stop the leak, which was achieved. You can see where the vent goes up in the picture.


Went to the Perkasie Lion’s club chicken BBQ for lunch with a friend while wife was at farmers market. The Transit Connect is working out great for her. Grandson came up to play for a little while, rounding out the day.

Today I have to act as a pall bearer for a good friend that suffered a massive heart attack. It’s erie that a few years ago, he asked me to sell his airplanes and take a fee, so that his wife wouldn’t have to deal with them. I told him that I would do one of those things, he said that if I ignored a dead man’s wishes, he might come back and haunt me. Keep in mind he was younger than me and healthy as a horse up until his heart attack.

No other plans, we will see how the day goes.

Sorry about the loss of your friend.
That wet patch would probably last 5-10 years.

my friends in Florida pay almost 11k for homeowner and wind. That's nuts

They should make people who build ground level mansions (in storm zones) at 9' above msl, pay 25% (or more) of the value of the home every year. Just so they don't have to soak everyone else to make their money.

When I left work at 4:30 today, it was overcast and 97F. It felt nice compared to blaring sun and 109F.

Trying to get a software security key registered at work, for a Torchmate 4 x 4 plasma table. I've tried 3 codes they've sent me. no worky yet. I might turn it over to our IT department, since they won't allow the computer to be connected to the net for security reasons.

I aways get my flu shot. This year will be the same
+ Got an hour of mowing or should I say slashing with the modified chain mower... it does a heck of a job. Cuts closer than a blade mower. Sprinkled a bit; cooler weather is coming. 75º highs predicted next week.
