Randy(wag) glad you had nice weather. Polishing footwear sounds like work.
Mate, it's all about 'maintenance'.

I've had these two pairs of R.M.Williams "Craftsman" boots (one brown, one black) for over 25 years and wear them often. The current replacement cost for just one pair is A$650.

You bet I'm going to put in the 'work' to keep them going for as long as the 'uppers' last... as for re-soling, it doesn't matter how old these boots are, the company will re-sole them for free.

Poured first cup of hot coffee. 58° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 66° with cloudy skies. Grocery shopping went good. I had a small list. Grass got mowed in between rain sprinkles. No accumulation on gauges. Today a person from local power company is coming out to show me how to save on my energy bill. Current average usage is 22kwh per day.

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
another wonderful bird pic to wake up to, Ron you have the best birds.

last of hot days, going to cool off slowly after rain comes in this afternoon. Rain or storms in forecast almost every day.

off to PT this morning then food shopping
my left knee is still bothering me, if not one thing, then...
was interesting to hear that PT lady said she could really help me with my plantar fasciitis.
really? need to investigate that, get a scrip first. Medicare usually pays nothing for feet, but worth paying cash
if they can help.

I hope Bird is ok. Always worry about him in high heat

Ted/LS, you getting any rain? Hope your drip system works well in that beautiful back yard.

this is a great story about Burning Man and this year's mud mess
I can just imagine me drifting my rv in that mud
not
anything resembling Woodstock would have me driving in the opposite direction.
crowds today are not safe places...

I would like to drive that Ram TRX though. 707 hp, quite adequate for the job

2.87 in of rain for the week watched big storm on porch last night up way too late even some hail at the beginning

Nice picture Ron

Please note I am not saying climate is not changing just remember all one reads or hears is not true our Country is being tested more than ever before. Our infrastructure is failing due to money being dedicated to giveaway programs not taking care of business so to speak

Prayers for all silent or spoken our Country

Good morning! 77˚F heading to 103˚. No rain BUT 40% chance tomorrow!!!

Buppies, good news on the 100s breaking. lower temps are now starting to show on the 10 day forecast. Next Wednesday the high is predicted to be only 88˚- break out the jackets.

Yesterday late evening I mowed the grass in the back yard around the irrigation sprinklers, the only grass that is growing. One new hedge, a lantana, that was replaced this spring after the ice storm died even though it was watered every other day. The only yard fatality during this 100 everyday no rain summer.

This weather pattern needs to break. Maybe later today. Rain is forecast.

Remaining hopeful about that.

Hope all have a great weekend, be safe. Those ailing, here is hoping you feel better and heal sooner.

Lots of hope in the post....

Thanks, was curious as to where. Now I’m thinking anywhere between the tank and 1st filter would work.
It shoule be spliced into the line at the point that the frame and the bodywork are closest, with the valve handle facing the sharpest edge of any available sheet metal (or where a self-tapping screw is protruding).

you want the installation to look factory, just like the an Automotive speeding engineer would design it, right? 😂🤣😂🤣

Yikes I keep violating the forces of nature. 90˚F and in 10 minutes we will be out of the conserve electricity time zone. To save electrical energy I cooked dinner on the gas stove. I think that was a bad thing because gas stoves will soon be outlawed because they are bad for the climate. Next I mowed with my battery lawnmower (which was good for the climate) but then without thinking I put the battery in the charger during the conserve electricity time, can't win for lose, hope someone bails me out of climate change jail.
You need a steam-powered lawnmower that is fired by non-methane unicorn farts.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

64F going to low 80s, partly cloudy to sunny.

Surprised by a late day t-storm with small hail, lasted until after midnight.

woodlot excursion reasonably successful, Mrs split more wood, I got another trail finished but could not get the path for irrigation extended tue to some exceptional mushiness in one steep spot. I need to schlep the little chainsaw up in there and chop up some previously-cleared undergrowth and lay it down as a mattress to stabilize the soil instead of sinking in a quagmire…

Harry got in trouble, he went after Bailey for her treat AFTER he had just gotten one and she wasn’t having it and he got bitey on her and got a good whack and tossed out the door for a couple hours. He is going to Play today, so maybe he will burn off some aggression…

Due to rain, we will have to delay the Bailey walk up at the woodlot until the afternoon. Morning will be some admin running around to fill the morning.

i hope everyone has a happy healthy safe blessed day!

Drew, I was reading about the Burning Man clean up that is going on right now. Huge effort to leave no trace. They said that they just barely squeaked by the BLM inspection last time. This year is supposed to be worse. I read that the leave no trace standard set by Burning Man is being applied to everyone who wants to hold an event on the lake bed. It looks like one heck of a party. In a normal year all the heat and dust doesn't sound very healthy.
