Well, the guessers are saying Monday the temps will drop to "normal"...... seems the normals are getter hotter for longer periods. Hope they are correct, I'm tired of the heat!

If a greenie news agency tries to put a spin on it, never trust that news source.
Good Evening Guys,
LS, I am with you on that note ! Definitely ready for some cooler fall weather !

TxDon, no truer words were ever spoken !

Have a nice evening TBNers !

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 8.5C and it's presently 17.7C, clear with increasing wind. There was 1.7mm in the gauge @ 0900.

Gorgeous day yesterday with a High (@ Wagtail Park) of 25C. I decided to nip into town for a quick visit to the Newsagency... then I swung by the local shoe shop to get a set of boot laces as one of my existing laces is starting to fray. Basically a 'stitch in time'/'have a spare standing by' sort of thing. Whilst there I also bought some new shoe/boot polish.

Once home I then decided to actually polish my R.M.Williams boots, followed by a dubbin treatment for my work-boots.

Today I'll probably make another quick run into town to the hardware shop and pick up a 30m length of water hose to replace an old section of the horse trough system. Preventive maintenance, but the pump seems to be 'working' more than usual so there may be a leak in that old section.

That's about it, take care all.

Buckeye, that made me check mine and now voltage has gone up to 122 on that and 123 on wall.
I wonder what PECO does to accomplish that.

Don, I'd like to give you some rain and some voltage...
after looking at the UPS pic, decided about time to peel off the plastic cover, which I did

Yikes I keep violating the forces of nature. 90˚F and in 10 minutes we will be out of the conserve electricity time zone. To save electrical energy I cooked dinner on the gas stove. I think that was a bad thing because gas stoves will soon be outlawed because they are bad for the climate. Next I mowed with my battery lawnmower (which was good for the climate) but then without thinking I put the battery in the charger during the conserve electricity time, can't win for lose, hope someone bails me out of climate change jail.

Good evening all. 73ºF for the start, partly cloudy sky, light breeze. Light wind, partly cloudy sky, and high temp was 105ºF, HI 108ºF. Friday last hot day in 10 day, rain starting Monday night :). Had to track down beeping to start this morning, Was convinced it was UPS unit, was bad smoke alarm in office I had forgotten about, 1.5 hours down the drain. Chat system for APC had issues and made things worse :(. Got bike ride in, SIL checked out Volagi, broken cable on rear derailleur, trip to Sherman tomorrow to get it fixed. Did get nap in.
Dennis congrats on site success.
Kyle the Husky looked up again. Waiting for cooler weather to work on it. The garage sale special runs ok but has a surging issue. Thanks for asking.
NHBX I understand about waiting for cooler weather. Hope you get mowing done before winter hits.
Ron glad dentist not too bad. I have needed to redo most of my 20-30 yo fillings. That is one big bird :)
Buppies glad heat is over for year. prayers sent.
Don where do you get the power alerts from? Hope you got enough watering done.
Billy glad you got the spraying done.
Drew hope you get the forecasted rain. Hope the fiber install goes smoothly. When was changed from coax to fiber, Internet was done only 5-10 minutes, computer was plugged in directly for initial testing then router brought back up. Hope chair assembles easy enough.
Mike sorry about drought, hope you cool off with storm front.
Kilroy sorry about shop not catching back brake may be iffy as well. Hope woodlot time was better.
Drew problem with wind turbines is no wind, no power. Wind slows down here in summer and winter, when you need it most. Grid issue is more conventional power plants.

Dennis sorry about the over active pic taking.
Mike well said.

Ted hope you get a cool off. Hope you made good progress on prep work for addition.
Gstrom glad you got a cool off. sorry about minimal rain. Shop looking good.
Chris on paper we have energy choice in Texas. I not sure hoe much choice there is, beyond who sends you the bill.
RNG loved your soapbox. Glad trip to new house went well. Dinner sounded nice and hot does help the kinks.
Scott(vt) glad you have pool to cool off in. 94ºF for a high would be much better here to :).

RS sorry about minimal rain yesterday. Hope you can finish the strawberry work soon. Good to hear monofilament line working.
Ted I hear you on the heat, bet Don and Kyle are as well! Hope the dismantling goes well and materials can be reused.
Dennis sorry about friend's mom, my condolences. Hope mesh sets up in straight forward manner.
Frits sorry about the intensity of storms while you were out in them, glad you got home ok. Politics have changed power choices, and not sure for the better.
