Good morning, low temp 41 and going to a high of 63°F. Wind N 6 mph.
Partly cloudy.

I guess today I will get the sweeps for the trailer test fitted and painted.
That is about all I will get into today.

Have a safe day all

Good Morning
It’s 56 with a high of 75 forecast. A nice day.

Yesterday went like clockwork. There are a lot of ways for things to go off the rails when dealing with international travel, so it’s a big relief after clearing customs back in the good old USA.
And as a bonus, we made back home before the the thunderstorms blew through.

Today is off to Columbus, OH, hopefully the combination of timing and drying will let me get some mowing done this afternoon. We got about 1/8” of rain with yesterdays storms, so that didn’t hurt much.

70°F and 0 rain sunshiny morning.

Only thing on my agenda today is my recovery. Did have an anxious hour or two yesterday where eye was extremely teary. That passed and now I seem to be on similar track to previous experience. Distance vision not quite as good as right eye but better than presurgery.

Sophie got a couple hours mowing with her BX. I think we got a winner.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

I’m having the same situation, opposite eyes. Left eye distant vision near perfect, right eye is greatly improved but not as much as the left. But I have serious astigmatism in the right.

Off work today.... doctor appointment at 1130 and, hopefully, be authorized to drive again

Ted, she did. I offered to remove the bucket, same as I do on the LS, but she said no. After, she told me she did hit the fence once. I figure she will change her mind at some point. I think she may have a plan for taking her weedeater and chainsaw on some of her mowing trips and be ready to ferry palm fronds. I am a bit surprised how much that FEL extends from tractor. I’m going to raise the cut height 1 notch.

When I mow the fields with my Massey, I drop off the quick change bucket, takes thirty seconds to remove and maybe a minute to reinstall, but my 86 year old father in law leaves it on.

Having trouble making a positive ID. Looks more a tree swallow to me, but have seen it or its mate following me when I'm on the Cub mowing. Looks more like a barn swallow at that point.
Kinda looks like a tree swallow, RS. No yellow/orange on the head/neck. We have 'em out here, too.

51F cloudy upper 60's for high.

We had talk with boss yesterday morning explaining my health and time I may need off,he said"don't even give it second thought return when you feel like it & if you need your lawn mow etc. call I get someone right over there etc. etc." WOW that made me feel good.

Plans for today...just little puttering but mostly waiting for hospital to call info on when operation shall be.

Good Morning!!!! 65F @ 4:45AM. Mainly sunny to start, then a few afternoon clouds. High around 95F. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph.
We're under a Heat Advisory for the next few days, and another Red Flag Warning through tomorrow night. The weekend is looking like highs in the 70s at the rally, with maybe some cloudy skies. Good sleepin' weather.

That's a tough row to hoe, MFW. Glad things are going well for you now.

Tell Sophie I put a few dents in the house when I got the first tractor, David. She'll get the hang of it soon enough. Remind her, though, how easy it is to forget you've got something in the bucket, then fill it with dirt or dump it by mistake.

Sounds like a nice ride, Bruce. I remember similar trails in Wisconsin, on abandoned railroad right of ways. We rode them on the same sew ups we used on the street.

That Canadian storm, and the one in Colorado, made the news here last night. Weird weather these days.

The beach sounds very relaxing, Drew.

Spent the day on paperwork yesterday, probably do more of the same today. Might sneak into town for some hoses, but we'll see.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start.

Morning all, sun is out and it was a chilly 57 this morning, going up to 76, nice after the last few days at 90.
Now need to get the pool water chemicals in better balance and start putting the furniture out.
Will need to weed wack around the trench/swale as the grass is growing fast.
Can see a lot of growth where I knocked it down in the back yard, but still too wet....

Had severe winds and lightning, but only a little rain. Lately when they say .1 inch, I just multiply bu 10 and I am correct more than the weather guessers. They completely missed yesterday mornings storm, was not supposed to happen. Think they need web cams so they can SEE the weather

Radishes seem to be doing well, some tomato plants seem to be struggling.

Stay safe and be well,

Well morning all;
Beautifull morning out right now 54F and only supposed to go up to 70F.
Much nicer then this past weekend of 88 and 92F with high humidity,
then a couple of lines of thunderstorms rolled through in the evening a 20 degree drop in as many minutes.
Felt good to me.
Stay safe and get well to all.

Good morning! 64˚F, cloudy heading to the 80s, ENE wind turning ESE with rain chances increasing this evening. Mowed the back yard yesterday evening in the shadow of the house, this morning I'll do the front, then cards tonight. Afternoon is open but I'm sure my wife will find a project for me.

David and RNG the tools suggested for motor removal are a little too aggressive, I worry I will damage the stone. I may start off manually to see how it goes. There is a roller rake with a nail in it I might try first. I wish Eric would reply I know he has been working on his wall for a long time. Looking closely at the mortar I only need to replace only half so getting the matching color will be very important.

The organic red potatoes in the raised bed will be pulled later this week after the chance of rain goes down, the tops are starting to look a little ragged from the heat last week and the leaves are getting holes from insects. The end of May is 100 days since planting.

Wagtail, still looking for pics of the raised beds the next time you are at your community gardens. It sure was thoughtful of them to give you the gift certificate.

Mornin' Y'all!

Well the siding guys did not show up all weekend and can't tell me when they're finishing. So the electrician cannot finish rough-in & I can't order inspections yet... My GC Carpenter who is supposed to be running this job FOR me, well he taking today off to go work on his boondoggle RV project...

That big storm last night filled my pool with debris and leaves, so I have extra cleaning to do today.

The tree cutter buddy of mine is supposedly coming today to take out most of a dead Oak over my driveway and a couple other small jobs.

They are supposed to come tomorrow with the replacement pool heat pump controller the mouse ate and short circuited.

I did get a start on grinding stumps for the future concrete driveway yesterday, and did some clean-up of the construction site.

My GF came home from a trip to visit some of her friends and we had a nice dinner and a great evening together.

Sigh... Life is good.
Be well all-o-y'all!
David MFW

48°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 71° today. Nice to see the sun shining today. We had rain and thunderstorms all day Saturday, then cool and cloudy all day Sunday. Not sure we ever made it out of the 50s yesterday. Got a whole lot of nothing done outside this weekend.

Don, one of the interesting things about German is that changing the gender of the definite article very often changes the meaning of the word ... sometimes embarrassingly so.

There used to be a 94th Aero Squadron at the St. Louis airport, too, BEF. A neat dining experience.

Affairs of the heart - emotional and physical - are not to be trifled with, Thomas. Hope they get you all cleaned up.

Congrats on the happy wife, David. That smile says it all.

They used to have the 50th fighter group Restaurant at Republic Airport on Long Island.
We used to go there all the time while working on the ASDE-3 radar (the radar I worked on is now at Newark NJ Airport).
They had headsets so you could listen to the tower.

Seems to have closed down in 2012.

59F and mostly cloudy @ 11:00, supposedly headed up to a high of 65F today. Only a 2% chance of precipitation though, with winds out of the NE @ 5 - 10 mph.

Given that, it seems like a good day to to get the glyphosate solution transferred out of the sprayer with the cracked tank and get a little spraying done.

Woman is already making noises this morning about doing some weeding and mulching "before the weeds take over" ...

Now wants to know "Did you buy enough mulch ?" ...

Probably not ... but there's more where that came from.

There's some additional string trimming that needs done and the front lawn may be due to be mowed again so will need to check on that.

Finish up 4 x 4 frame for the 55G drum to sit on for the Water Buffalo.

Some work on the lily planting bed under the kitchen window.

Nice cool day day to be getting all these things done.

Just saw the first goldfinch on the nyjer feeders, good to see they are back. Hopper feeder probably due to be refilled.

Holland Bulb Farms had a big overstock sale over the weekend. I couldn't resist ... so I'll probably be in trouble at some point ...

Hope everyone has a great Monday ... (y)
