Good afternoon! thunderstorms to the North, lots of thunder but the rain is not quite here and is moving East. The church camp super spreader event is now reporting 10 break though cases - people who came down with covid after being fully vaccinated.
I still believe there is something fishy about this, and the reporting of it. I'm not seeing any articles since July 8th.

Were all these attendees on a deserted island, and just came off to attend camp? The first reporting of contradicted itself, first stating 20 sick, and then later over 100 sick....now breakthrough cases? There have been thousands of attendees to this camp, and sadly only this church is having this problem.

Money has clouded Covid in so many ways.

Now reporting Johnson & Johnson shot might cause a higher incidence of Guillain Barre syndrome.

At least they are saying the Delta variant is more like a cold, than flu.

Have a similar hat, holds too much heat in, but doesn’t fit over my ear protectors so I wear baseball hat usually.
The guy who installed my exede satellite internet brought his wife and kid, hot summer day, when installer had to go in basement the kid went in and started playing with all my sons toys. Everything about that install pisses me off just thinking about it. Incompetent idiot. I was happy to dump Exede when I got the AT&T mobley.
Storms around us, none at house
Humid.
Got new tail light on camper. Wife made camping reservations for end of month, so gotta get it fixed up. New canopy is last major item still to do. I bought it over a year ago.
It needs washed real bad also.
Wife did ribs in crock pot, maybe better than my IP ribs.

Buppies, restaurants in TN didn’t have enough staff and had to limit number of customers.

74F and cloudy @ 23:00, headed down to a low of 71F for the overnight. DP is 71 so it's pretty muggy out. Thunderstorm just off to the southeast. Accumulation since midnight: 0.52"

Was supposed to go down to Canton this morning to have a look at a router but had trouble falling asleep last night and I ended up getting up real late ... so that didn't happen.

When I did wake up, I hadn't been up very long (was still in my shorts) and just poured my first cup of coffee when the neighbor showed up in his Gator. He decided today was the day to cut down the trees that were leaning over the trail and clear the ones that had already fallen. Told him to give me a few to wake up and have some coffee, and I'd be over. He went off to go get his tractor.

Ended up cutting down or clearing around 8 or so good-sized aspens and moving them off the trail. We were just about to finish pushing the last one off and it started raining. In a minute it was pouring and we both got completely drenched. Did get the trail all cleared though.

There is still one left that we need to take down (leaning badly) on our property but I told him we'd get it later ... when the chance of lightning strikes were a little lower ...

Came down to the house and gave the guy with the router a call to see if it was still available. Told him to give me 10 minutes to grab a shower and get the sawdust off of me and I'd be down.

Ended up picking up what I think will be a decent router for good price - Sears Craftsman 2HP with fixed and plunge bases, variable speed, soft start, accessories, and a bunch of bits (some brand new, some used):

IMG_1211 copy.jpg

Ended up spending around an hour or so there talking woodworking/suppliers, and getting a little tour. They were redoing an older Century Home ... was right in downtown Canton. The workmanship was incredible. Lots of white and red oak. 15 year project.

Was going to grab Mexican on the way back but they were closed. Ended grabbing Chinese instead.

Filled The Woman's car while I was out.

All in all, not bad day.

Raining now ... and I still need to take the trash and recycles up to the road ...

Hope everyone had a great day ... (y)

good morning all
woke up with huge crash as lightning hit nearby, no way I was going back to bed after that.
Flood warning out for 6-8 inches of rain further East of here, but not here.
Stove clock flashing, we lost power several times last night.

thanks for all the help on the Ridgeline. Note that most of trucks are "in transit".
Dealer said he would know tomorrow what allocation they have. That means in over two months absolutely nothing
has happened on this vehicle, and dealer would not confirm but hinted that the model I wanted had more tech in it (the whole idea) and
apparently less were being made than standard model. And even if he confirms the build on Wednesday, he said it would still be two more months.
There is a new blue color for this year and that's what I want so I guess I'll have to wait for it.

Don, sorry your niece and baby got sick, that's worrisome.
I called my oncologist office yesterday at the insistence of multiple family members because articles are coming out saying a small percentage of folks who
had a certain cancer drug in the last year, I think ributuxin, would have a ineffective vaccination since antibodies would not form. It was suggested to me that I get the antibody
test to confirm if the vaccine worked for me. Doc office said no guidance from CDC (??) and that antibody tests allegedly were very unreliable. I considered the call pretty useless.
And I was told the take at home tests were even more unreliable. A lot of folks go through chemo every year so wonder why there hasn't been more guidance here.

rain stopped and things have quieted down. Weather will still be "unsettled".

Yay!! Signed sale on Friday, Drove home today. My wife has ordered lots of goodies for it. Wheels, led sequential tail-lamps, flares, Raptor grill, and some other bits. I ordered a tub lid. It is getting painted before delivery. Build date is June so it got here pretty quickly.

Coffee is ready to pour first cup. 67° with fog this morning. Heading to 77° with cloudy skies and thunderstorm. Yesterday was drizzle wet all day. No weed killer down yet. Did help neighbor make some hold downs for batteries on his military generator. Will have to wait until Wednesday to try again weed killer. No plans for today.
Female Bluebird is hard to get a good picture. She is always moving while caring for her little ones. Male spends a lot of time watching for intruders anywhere near birdhouse.

Looks like lots of rain around the country. Be careful when out on the roads for flooding.

Alien, nice looking truck. Where is it built?

Don, prayers for niece and son. That they get over virus soon.

Drew, hope you get new truck sooner than later.

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

Ron, thanks, but it's not looking good when you consider best case of 2+months and worst case of no ETA.
I guess I'll just have to treat my compact SUV to another detail if I keep using it as a garden truck.
The Ridgelines have a limited number of exterior colors but a new one is medium dark blue and that's the one I want.
The Audi is a dark charcoal blue...and...

There have been so many other things more important to me in the last year that
whining about a new truck is pretty far down the priority list. Trying to learn patience.

Thankfully my lawn tractor shows up tomorrow but without bagging system, that's been on backorder too. But when it comes in they will send a service truck
out and install it. And relevel the mower deck which they said you had to do as the weight of the blower mechanism is all the way out on the end
and it tilts the deck messing up the cut. So you hike up some adjuster on one side and the deck is now level with the blower on.
For now and until the leaves start coming down, I'm fine not having it.

storm is gone and it's pretty foggy out until it burns off.

69 high of 90 today very humid today miserable. Off to work shortly

Dennis, watching the news and J&J /GBS and thinking of you..

I didn’t want the J&J for that reason, since it’s more of a traditional vaccine. There’s always a chance of GBS from flu shots.

We got 1” of rain last night.

   / Good morning!!!! #135,619
Don, hope niece and baby have quick recovery. None of the vaccines are 100%, so wonder if one of the ones it didn’t work for.

77 going to 94...high humidity...will make my walk a bit tough.

Don, sorry about your niece and child...is this Christy? Prayers said.

Buppies, I bet you are ready to go back to the beach already.

Alien, real nice looking truck. Is a tub lid the same as a bed cover?

RS, nice router and extras...hope to see what you make.

I lubed the zero yesterday...got so fed up with my discount store grease gun that I ordered a battery operated one that will work with my other tools/batteries. I've read some of you are very pleased with them, so finally going that route. RNG, I think a few weeks ago you mentioned using Lucas Xtra green...that's what I use, and I've been very pleased.
