Good morning!!!!

43 years today at the grind...Ivy college... seen a lot heard to much over the years.

Dartmouth is quite a school;it was too far away for me to check out...got as far as Providence RI.
gosh, going to college when all the women decided it was time to burn their bras was, well, simply delightful.
"seen a lot"; I bet you have Thomas.

Though the articles I read on today's youth characterizes them as less capable of dealing with life, less motivated, perhaps a little lazier, they've had it too good and too easy.
Well, for sure, many of them. And when they get to college they have to call home constantly to ask the simplest things or make basic decisions.
Though I wonder if one thinks back fifty years, did some commentator say the same negative things about my graduating class?

Thomas that's a long time at one job. I will bet you have heard and seen all sorts of things. Congratulations

64 high of 86 later still no rain and none in the foreseeable future. Off to work on another driveway but this one much closer to home

63 going to 87. Too hot and dry.

Congrats, Thomas. Do I remember a few months ago that you were talking of retirement in the not too distant future?

Don, glad your battery endeavor was successful.

Had a nice day kayak fishing with wife and friends on our local river yesterday. Caught quite a few sunfish and smallmouths, but no crappie or roaches. Water was nearly crystal clear. Then had a cookout on the banks of the river and talked until dark. Nearly a perfect Sunday afternoon.

Today, have a large mowing day.

Thanks Ron, will check the mower out some day, but not today.
Went to bed feeling sick in the stomach, woke up same way. Gonna wait awhile before hitting the road.
Need to clean up the old cider mill and try to make some cider this fall. Mill was my great grandfathers, as far back that dad knows.

Good morning all. 57 this morning going to 88 and sunny, supposed to cool down by the end of the week. Wife decided she does not like the recliner we just got her so I am going to look at another this afternoon. Might get the pantry door cut out by Christmas, trying to work things in with all of the regular stuff is slow.

Mostly, Fish taco, Reminds me of the catfish gravy I had one time.

Thomas, I remember when I thought 43 was old, 43 years is sure dedication.

Drew, Your grad. class? George Washington was worried about the children of his day and saw no way our country could survive because there was no one that could lead in the future. Wonder what he would say now.

Have a great day all. Ed

Buckeye, hope you are feeling better quickly.

Got the tractor tire back on the rim with the bead sealer.....Hoping it holds. Got the fuel filters on. Having trouble getting fuel up to it. Might use a vacuum pump...

Don, glad you got your dad's tractor going.

CWB, too cold for me this soon up there. Glad for your heater in side x side.

If it ain't one thing it's another. Wife had a stomach bug a few days ago, now it seems to be my turn. Already have a Dr. appointment this afternoon to check on the infection i had.

Don't have any work to go to anyways, my last project ended last friday. I had a new project lined up, but my mgmnt is trying to get me on a different project, and they are waiting to hear from someone. Contracting work sucks at times, when a project ends (as this one did unexpectedly) It's like having to find a new job, either internal to my company, or go external.

Buckeye, engineer a fast recovery. Hope you feel better soon, you've been through the ringer.
You can wash your hands a lot but if a kiss gives you the flu, well, misery loves company.

Good Morning!!!! 67F @ 5:30AM. 0% Precip. / 0.00 in. Sunny. High 84F. Winds N at 10 to 15 mph.

Congrats on your 43 years, Thomas. In that time, how many different jobs within the company have you had? Or were you so good at the first one, they kept you at it?

I think every generation shakes their heads at the latest generation's antics. The older I get, the more difficult it is to accept change, and youth is very good at finding things that "need" changing...

Accidently ran the Diesel all the way out of a rental ditch digger years ago, and ended up disconnecting a fuel line up near the fuel rail and pouring fuel into it to get a prime. Not a very good way of finding out that the fuel gauge didn't work...

Decided to skip the primer on the motorcycle parts yesterday, as none of the parts I've pulled off the thing had the first sign of primer on them, and they've lasted just fine for 54 years. The afternoon was nice and warm, and not too breezy, good enough for the satin black I was using. And like Drew, I had some "shade" on the arm I was using to hold up the parts while painting them, but that came off with some not so gentle scrubbing.

With the shocks off, I'm a little less than halfway to having the drive shaft out, which is needed to replace the rubber boot over the front u-joint. So I'll get that done today, and maybe get the start on the pushrod tube seals I'd hoped to get to yesterday.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a good start!
