I didn't measure them to check the clearance before I adjusted them ... but it sure didn't take much of a turn on the adjustment screw to put them back within spec ... mebbe an 1/8 of a turn at most ?Did you have to adjust them much?
None that I noticed ... the tractor ran like a top ... plenty of power, not particularly noisy or anything, would always start right up (assuming a charged battery) ... even in very cold weather. I did finally get around to installing the block heater a couple of years ago, just to make it easier on the tractor in the winter. I had had it sitting around for quite a few years and finally made myself just do it.Were there any symptoms?
In warm weather it would start without even using the glow plugs (occasionally I'd forget) ... although it took a little more cranking before it would fire off.
LOL ... yeah ... do yourself a favor and DON'T follow my example on that score ...If I wait for 2000 hours it would be another 10 years.
