Thanks for the well wishes guys.
Yes I do have internet in the truck, BUT it will be a matter of time AND I-net access, sometimes it is spotty.
Tuesday will be a 12 hour day, Wednesday 16 hours ( borrow 2 hours from Thursday), Thursday 12 hours (pay back the extra 2 hours from Wednesday) and Friday 16 hours. Saturday and Sunday 36 hour reset plus the extra 2 hours from Friday makes it 38 hours reset. It sounds complicated but really it isn't.
Following week is easier; Mon.16, Tues.12, Wed.16,Thurs.12,Fri.14=70 hours and a 36 hour reset.
All my unloading time is 'off duty' and rain days are 8 hours pay even though I am off duty. And then there is the room and board on top of that and that is $70./day including weekends whether I work or not.
Yes, I am raking in the dough, for 5 months of the year.

A little equipment maintenance this morning (grease all the tractor and mower fittings), then mow the field. After that...we'll see.

Well, got most of it done...almost finished the field when the belt let go on the mower...bummer.
I did have two e-mails and a call about the Frontier RFM I'm trying to sell. I'm going to replace the RFM with a flail mower...so far, a Caroni looks like the one I'll buy. Read good things about Caroni, including on TBN.

Good evening all. Yesterday started at 66F cloudy, light wind. Warmed up to 75F, wind stayed moderate, and some peaks of sunshine. Bike ride in morning (5 hr) then nap then went over to stepdaughter and helped her finish flower bed. Today 58F this morning, clear, moderate breeze. Warned to 77F, stayed mostly sunny, and winds stayed moderate. Choir performance this morning during chapel, followed by couples golf this afternoon.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 51° with overcast skies this morning. Heading to 69° with partly cloudy skies. Yesterday was pretty much a washout. 1.2" of rain. This week is full of doctor appointments. Dentist today. Not much planned other than continue with animal barn clean up.

58 and rainy, going to 76.

Planted in the garden yesterday: 2 types of pumpkins, 3 of squash, 2 of beans, okra, radish, basil, zinnia, sunflowers, nasturtiums, and marigolds. Those should keep the tomatoes and peppers company until the weeds grow.

Then decided to run the mower around the house to beat this week's rain a bit.

L4N, looking forward to hearing your stories from the road.

RS, I have sparrows nesting in a tarp rolled up at the barn...I need your trapping expertise, or maybe I'll just send them your way.

A mild southern wind for us today, with temperature finally expected to break the 20C mark and take us to 21C/70F today.

I have enjoyed myself this weekend making a sack cart ( hand cart?) out of scrap metal. It was originally intended for moving gas bottles, then my wife asked if it could also move plant pots and the like over rough ground, so it ended up with wheelbarrow wheels either side mounted on a shaft cut from a dead strimmer for an axle. Not sure why I got this addiction for melting metal, but nowadays I take any excuse to play at welding

Wngsprd, that's a great use of a broken rod, especially if you think of going fishing each time you carry the bucket.

67 going to low 80's with a lot of rain coming in next three days, over three inches predicted. Hopefully spread out....
looks like I'll finally make some time to do some organizing in woodshop and barn. Probably will continue to work on mower project, kind of fun being in the barn while
the rain is pouring down, quite the racket.
