Drew I love to watch other people work. The Sampson boat co. videos on Youtube are about rebuilding an old sailing yacht. Amazing project. Leo"s girlfriend is as cute as can be. Amazing how time passes when I am watching Youtube videos.

Good morning! 70s to 90s and a nice small 1/4" shower this morning - Bird does not share properly.

Drew you can always watch YouTube of people stomping roaches. I do wish you were closer to sample my experimental cookings. This morning I made no-fat plant based whole wheat sour dough Garlic/Olive/Jalapeño rolls with a home made butter from cashews/garlic/onion/thyme.

Glad your neighbors and garden club came through with provisions!

Give you body time to heal and start looking for a place to live that offers things you can do and enjoy.

76°F here in Honolulu.
Not been particularly exciting trip so far. Sophie got her covids test, make a trip to the really nice Navy Exchange here at Pearl Harbor, lunch at Ruby Tuesday (no salad bar), ice cream at Baskin Robbins and check into hotel. With a spike of 28 new cases here not conducive to doing a lot, so just staid in the room.
A cup of not so great coffee made in the room and we are headed for hospital, only 15 minutes away, in an hour. Then I guess I get to cool my heels in waiting room for a few hours as I doubt she’ll be done before noon. Will be thankful when done.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good morning all.
Had a good night last night and got some decent rest.
It's the weekend and I bet many of you will be busy.
Hope Sophie is doing ok, Mollala is on the mend, and Jay, oh Jay hope you are doing ok.
Jays posts are always insightful and interesting, smart man with a bunch of medical issues we all wish him well with.

Rick and Don, you guys seem to have full time jobs cleaning up trees there. Thank goodness for grapples. Sounds like if you didn't keep at it,
that brush would simply take over the place.

because of my back, I never found bike riding comfortable, put too much strain on lower back, but sure seems like it would be wonderful fun to get out there in fresh air, get the heart pumping, wonderful exercise. And the women in those skin tight outfits, must keep eyes on road...;) I do wish some bike riders would be more careful about not hogging the road, riding side by side, makes it dangerous to get around them, always worried about clipping someone with side mirror. Bike lanes are really good ideas, and I do believe in sharing the road.

68 degrees going up to 81 today. Fairly wet weather pattern, thunderstorms most days, had some nice boomers yesterday. I bet it's making a lot of lawns go crazy around here. Hopefully enough dry time that Buppies can get some work done.

Drew is the no outside for as long as you are there? Likely unless covid restrictions lifted, and NC is an unhappy state for that, with nursing homes/assisted living places the most paranoid of them all. They just don't want the bad bugs in...nor do I want to be restricted to my room for two weeks, without even the ability to walk in courtyard. Only time I get outside is to get in van to go to hospital for treatment or tests. Which will be next Tuesday. Chemo is every three weeks, but weekly testing in between. Hospital is less than mile away and drive is through one doc office building after another, not all that scenic. What I would love is to drive to local park and be able to walk long distances, take some pictures, get some fresh air. So my world is about 370sf. I have never been a patient person, always on the go, most of you know that by now, and all this inaction is challenging. How does one keep busy and occupied? At some point I get sick of surfing Youtube, though trying to concentrate on History Channel stuff now. Other than watching car accident videos (seems to be an unending number of them) any suggestions for interesting viewing will be appreciated. Maybe I can find some cooking shows, but that will just make me hungry... Always like to learn, so need to find something that challenges my mind.

Drew, how about signing up some sort of online learning? New language?, Coding? Something challenging? Maybe just something fun.

Good afternoon. It was 73° this morning and got up to 83° by mid morning. It dropped back to 80° when rains came thru. Looks like we’re in for showers all afternoon and evening .. I’m good with that. . Our high may make 88° later.

I damaged a fitting, on the big grapple, yesterday and sprayed the front of the tractor, including the windshield, with hydraulic fluid. If it isn’t one thing .. it’s something else.

This morning .. I got out the pressure washer and foam gun, filled with Simple Green HD Pro degreaser, and washed everything down .. then rinsed well.

IMG_2090.jpg

I still need to clean the windshield again with some ZEP foaming window cleaner. I should probably remove the front WS wiper and clean it well.

I went into our local auto parts store and had them make up a new set of grapple hoses. This grapple came with skid steer flat face QD’s so I’m changing them out for ISO 7241B QD’s to match the 55 HP tractor, the other grapple, and the post / tree puller. That way I can use everything .. on either tractor.

Depending on our weather.. I may put the stump bucket on the big tractor and go after a couple of stumps in one pasture.

IMG_2091.jpg

If we get a lot of rain .. I need to replace a fluorescent tube in the walk-in pantry. I can probably stretch that .. into an afternoon.

Drew .. glad you’re finally getting some better food!

Hoping everyone has a great weekend and first day of Summer!

Prayers to all.

I noticed on the TBN phone app under Rural Living then good morning thread Ron’s morning pic is always there no matter how many pic have been submitted that day. Is his pic a default because it was first for that day or is the best pic selected?

I post my pictures using imgur. Works like Photobucket did. I put photos there that I am going to put on TBN or other internet sites.

In my sophomore year in high school in Marlow, OK, I took a class in Spanish, taught by an elderly, likable lady who also taught English. I still remember my textbook was titled "El Camino Real". But you had to take 2 years of Spanish for 2 credits. One year and you got no credit for it. Well, that summer my Dad quit, or lost, his job in Marlow and we moved to Marietta, OK, and that school did not offer Spanish. So I never got the second year of Spanish. I could never learn to trill the "R"s, as the teacher did. But it was a most enjoyable class; just me and 6 girls. I couldn't get any of buddies to take the Spanish class.

Good choice. I used it to brush up my almost non existent German a few years ago. As I recall, it is self paced, can do as many lessons as desired.

Meeting at church this morning to discuss next reopen stage. Going to start am classes next month. Wife texted me Costco list, so made a stop there. Had charming tp. Son needed hearing aid batteries, another 6 pack of mobile 1 on sale and other stuff.
Put Subaru in garage to do oil later. Started to mow with storms headed our way. Got front done before rain chased me in. As soon as I got sat down on porch glider rain stopped and sun came out. Super humid now.
Son came to visit.
Hope coco gets well.
David, hope wife’s surgery is successful.
Drew, glad you got some good food, thank goodness for good friends.

Do you have any plans for those flat face QDs, Rick?

My port forward and grapple didn't come with fittings, so I picked up a set of these flat face fittings on Amazon that are working out really well. If yours are the same, I'd be interested in buying them from you...

90F and partly cloudy @ 15:45, under an Air Quality Alert due to ground-level ozone.

Just returned from Menards. Since the order included millwork items, part of it was "You pull it" ... of course when I got there, the racks were a complete mess, with items in the wrong slots, all jumbled up. I sorted through it and left a big pile on the floor for an associate to hopefully put in the correct place ... after spending some minutes of my own time doing exactly that. Unfortunately, I only came away 7 (of 8) 12' sticks and 0 (of 2) 8' sticks. Otherwise, got everything else.

Grabbed a coney dog from the corner ice cream shop on the way home.

Time to put the forks on the tractor and move the MMM over to the pavement so it can be mounted up.

After I do that, it's down to the barn to retrieve the little pull-behind plastic cart and take it up to the shop to repair the frame. Probably retrieve the pallet of some of the parts for the LPGS while I'm at it.

Enjoy your day all ...

RNG,

If Rick has other plans, let me know how many sets you'd like ... ;)

I took three years of French and what a useless waste of time. Yes I know what an escargot is now...but Spanish is so much more useful. Taking Latin first was primary, lot of root words used throughout the other languages, but I sure hated conjugating Latin. I came, I went, I got nowhere...

learning Spanish would be good, great idea.

Impala A/C is blowing cold enough to be comfortable on a 90 degree day. Well enough for now. Waiting for dye to show leak.

Glad you're chillin' ...

I did a much needed cleaning on my 55 gallon aquarium today while it was so hot and humid outside. Will need to clean the filters out again tomorrow. Already looks so much clearer. I want to buy some more angel fish. I'm down to my last one. He/She is at least 3, probably 5 years old. Very tame, will swim to whichever side you peer in. Like a hungry cat following you to the food bowl.

The Woman's Big Black Angel here does similar ... always looking for the chow ...

Don't forget a good penetraing oil. Kroil, or 50/50 ATF and acetone, and spit sizzle heat when you squirt it on... ;)

Will do ...

Not really sure how soon I'll get to it ... as long as it isn't leaking, it's not an immediate problem that has to be handled.

Have lots of yard work and other projects to get caught up on in the meantime.
